A white belt wouldn’t EVER do that to a ‘purple belt’ in our gym 😂 that ‘purple’ belt was terrible…!
@conwaytoe2toejiu-jitsu very interested in your school. Lots of hard training aka "sparring". If i was to join, what are the requirements to get awarded a higher belt? Is it a kempo belt system or what do you use?
We offer a Kickboxing and a Jiu-Jitsu program. They are separate and distinct as far as belt rank is concerned. I do not offer a Kempo system.
Belt rank is based on merit.
Attendance, hard work, and capability is essential. We offer an option to test after 3-4 months.
@@conwaytoe2toekickboxing so these belts for students are Jujitsu? I have 3rd Dan Black belt in hapkido with 8 years can I wear if I join your school or do I have to start over with white?

Don't need to start over. Come try a week at no charge to test drive the program.

i know these people personally and i can tell you the white belt has prior knowledge from other martial arts, while the purple belt is recovering from injury 🫶🏻

I dont understand why someone would wear wrestling shoes when rolling in bjj. Like previous comments, the purple belt is not legit. Illegal grips, wrong grips for cross chokes and bad escape techniques. Is this a troll video?

shoes i dont understand, but its hard to tell the state of an athlete from a youtube video, who knows how much training he had done earlier in the day...illegal grips? not sure what you mean by that, and not to mention the poor guy is grappling someone MINIMUM 10-15 years younger than he is. the young guys bring way different energy to the mat than the OGs. There were a few questionable moments for sure, and not enough attempts at finishing...but we also dont know the intent of this Roll, it could have been to let the White Belt work, which is 100% possible, and realistic. I hear you, it wasnt an impressive display, but theres too much nuance to just hammer the purple belt right away. I think its cool to see people move on the mat, and see what works and what doesnt.
@l0pster very good comment. The purple belt is also fighting with a significant hip injury so yeah...he is way stiff and defending for the most part.
@@l0pster 1:20 he just gripped inside of the wrist sleeve. Its not much but still illegal. I was just more curious on the position of his grips around 3:51 mark and throughout the match. Sorry to the original poster, didnt mean to sound like a troll comment. I was just surprised.
