You HAVE to ignore the negative comments. There will always be complainers that have no life. And people you have to remember Amanda was a chef by trade. Let her have her dream. Love your channel. ❤
In other chateaus I fast forward the commercials. However, I stay for your commercials. You two have the best sense of humour which comes out in your commercials.
Another fabulous video. Take your time with the kitchen. It's the right thing to do. You have to make it your own and don't be bothered by what others say. As a retired chef I have done several kitchens over and living with it for a while is good. You get a feel for how your want it in the end. LOVE the la Cornue. No matter what size. The outdoor shots were amazing and I could feel the cold. Seriously. I know you have done it before but can you take us on a shopping trip at the grocery store, bakery etc one day? When I visited my friends in the Lot my favorite stops were at the stores and their great dairy aisle. Crazy huh? Btw love the baguette guy. What a riot. Xxoo
I love that you started the cottage project....you saved the building and are doing an amazing job with it....👍. The kitchen in the chateau will come in time and is useable for now. Great drone shots.....your place looks amazing with the snow. Thank you!!!
Those drone shots were just beautiful! I watch 4 chateau channels and I gotta say, you have the most beautiful collection of trees!❤️. As for the kitchen, you’re a chef and should have what you want in your dream kitchen, go for it! While I’m at it, your collection of outbuildings is so quaint, it looks like a mini village. And…I can always count on a good chuckle with you two, you’re a hoot. 😊
What you’ve taken on continues to induce panic attacks in me … but your sense of humor and indefatigable energy, creative and otherwise, make me a believer that very soon now, you’ll be reaping great rewards for all of your efforts. Rooting you both on with bated breath! ❤❤
Thank you for sharing your French life with those of us who will never renovate a French chateau or have a walled garden where the deer can't munch on our flowers and produce. Your humor is delightful.
I agree that the beautiful cottage needed your attention first before tackling the chateau kitchen. I love your outbuildings. They are stunning and I love the way you take care of everything. Love the baguette delivery man and your drone videos and everything you share with us. ❤
As already mentioned about the commercials I don’t skip them on this channel, I enjoy the videos very much and I really think that you deserve all the extra money you can get… Please don’t let negative comments get to you! My guess is that those people have no idea that there is a difference between living in a house and living in and restoring a chateau (in France 😊). I and far out the most of your viewers are happy that you do and take us with you on that always hilarious and often challenging journey. It’s making La France an even more beautiful place.
Amanda & Lincoln I think personally when you both do your projects they are done with perfection. I can’t wait until I see what you both do in the kitchen cause it definitely will be epic. I know it’s early but the Holidays our around the corner so I just wanted to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving🇺🇸
I don't think you should be embarrassed by your kitchen because it works for now as part of your plan to have the kitchen you deserve. Love your videos and the thought you must put into creating each one. My sister was just telling me about that honey. Too funny. Her hubby likes it on his pizza! Have a great week.
Hey girl there is no way I am average!! I am delighted that the cottage is being renovated! I am sure that most fantastic man of yours will get you the kitchen of your dreams soon!! You are so blessed to have such a man and a wonderful place to live!! Big grin and love to both of you!!!!!
Just love your adverts. You are the only people I have seen that make your adverts watchable and funny. Don't loose heart what you are doing is wonderful.
The drone footage was so beautiful! And..yes..some of us understand wanting to do the cottage before it disappears. Someday both the cottage and your kitchen will be wonderful. It all takes time.😊
Every room you do turns out beautiful and your kitchen will also. Don't be embarrassed by any aspect of a home you bought with intentions of renovating. We're watching for the before and after part. And in the meantime we fell in love with your quirky personalities and the story of your life. Does the baguette MaN deliver to Florida? He's kind of cute.
Thanks for showing us your kitchen and it was not well designed. I’m sure you’ll create a beautiful, workable space. I love looking in your refrigerator. Whenever we travel I always want to go to grocery stores just to see what’s available. That was a beautiful snow!
I know you do not need to do this vlog, so I am very appreciative of you and Lincoln allowing us into your lives, sharing your senses of humor and your personalities in addition to every day life content. Thank you, Amanda, Lincoln and family and Happy Thanksgiving!
Love your videos. You are both so funny. I like Lincoln’s baguette salesman disguise. The music is so hip and chill. The drone footage is beautiful. Thank you for a very interesting episode. From Stuart, Florida 🇺🇸
How pretty with the snow!!! So beautiful there! Your painted window looks good. What a great size window! I love how the cats look out the window, and yes, the cat does resemble that actor lol. I love Lincoln delivering bagets ! I'd love to have one of those stoves you're talking about. You could fit so much in there!!! Thanks for sharing, and if you celebrate over there, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!❤
Greetings from another kitchen renovator, albeit on a much smaller scale (1928 Tudor house). We, too, removed all the plaster, rewired completely, with complete new plumbing, new insulation and drywall. Now waiting for flooring, heating, cabinets, and final push to the end. My goal is to have running water in the kitchen by Christmas. 🙏. Wishing your family smooth sailing through what is undoubtedly a huge and complex project. I’m sure the final result will be spectacular!
I remember way back when you discussed the kitchen/hallway/removing walls project and thinking what a giant undertaking it will be. The way you are doing things, you will have a place of respite to run off to when the kitchen redo becomes too much and you need to regain your sanity.
Amanda: I live near a huge (giant) e leclerc supermarket which is overwhelming in terms of choices. Not just several choices of a particular product, but dozens. You saved me from purchasing and trying every brand of butter, by mentioning what your favorite was. When I return to the store tomorrow, I will purchase the butter and yogurt you referenced in your video. Thank you.
I continue to wonder how you and Lincoln mesh so well. We never see 21:19 any signs of impatience or irritation between you two. You both are work horses- doing lots of heavy labor, and you each seem to have individual talents and patience for any task you face. Your repairs to the plaster details on the ceiling and Lincoln’s reconstructing bathrooms were both so demanding. Did you realize the hard work would be never ending? I would have burned out doing so many demanding tasks long ago. Yet you two just move on , start from scratch, and face every new day determined to get the renovations right no matter how much work it demands of you. What a couple! Neither of you ever seem to be irritable, you just keep working hard at making the daily chores get done, and move on to the next. Your commentary is so amusing and direct, and your voice very pleasant. It is what drew me in months ago. Did you have any inkling of all it would take to accomplish so many improvements by yourselves. I am amazed that two people are so compatible. Did you have any inking that you would be doing so many demanding tasks before buying? Live long and prosper. Ellen G. (VA Beach, VA)
I agree with you regarding french refrigerators being on the small side. However, having lived in New York and Boston (where kitchen space is at a premium) for 35 years prior to moving to France, I got used to grocery shopping every 3 to 4 days. Like you said, food is usually fresher. Cheers-
So many great screen shots in this video! Great job you two, keep up the good work and enjoy the beautiful life you are building! Thank you for sharing, I feel privileged to be part of your lives. ❤
I know you hate your kitchen but it is not that bad, at least until you can get to it in the near future. The cottage was way worse so you made a wise choice the renovate that space. The view from the window is priceless and I can’t get over the peace and tranquility of your property. Those sunsets are spectacular!! Stay warm 😊
Same. Waking up to the quiet and those views. Running water, electricity ( most of the time 😂) and heat with a family kitchen is absolutely a dream for thousands. It will be done sympathetically I’m certain.
the baguette drawer was everything! as a result I just placed an order for cloth bags for my DIL since she is baking bread like crazy - what a great drawer and glad you are going to incorporate it into the new kitchen
So enjoyed this video 😊 especially loved the nosey around your kitchen! You’re doing so well in the cottage 😊 the donkeys seem tamer and friendlier every video bless their hearts ❤
To all the watchers that havent subcribed....just do it please. These guys are working hard to.produce great vidoes evert week and they are so close to 50k subs...come on..
Really enjoyed the video. As an ex holiday home owner in France and someone who loves cooking, I enjoyed seeing all the food and listening to how different you found European kitchen layout compared to those in USA. Btw I thought the drone footage was superb, might have to rewatch .... the colours in the late evening sun, just wonderful. X
The kitchen is not that bad , you are a professional in kitchen that is why the ergonomic issue hits your eye . We audience really don't see it so bad ! You could have snow chains in your car in case of sudden snow . Love your channel , so fun as always !😘
Everything looks so pretty with the snow. Bless you for caring for the feral cats. Love seeing all your animals ❤❤❤❤❤You definitely deserve a beautiful and functional kitchen. Looking forward to seeing the progress 😍😘
I appreciate that you are looking forward to a new kitchen, but I am super keen to see the cottage reno. It has the potential that appeals to me. Good luck with both endeavours. BTW your drone footage is superb. (You are correct to give Baguette Man the shove. He looks very dodgy to me and has the potential to show up anywhere anytime. 😉)
I totally get where you’re coming from with your kitchen it’s the tools of your trade. Making the choice to do the cottage so you had a workable kitchen while the remodel happened made perfect sense to me. But I am also of the belief that it’s totally your choice how you proceed to do what suits you best. Much respect and love your videos.
I think you guys are taking the right approach to your cottage/kitchen projects. Getting to know your kitchen and its shortcomings before you remodel is a wise idea. You'll get there. Just keep working on the projects and things will come together.
3:15 I'm thrilled you're saving the cottage. After having followed your channel from the start, and remodeled my own much simpler house here in France, I've often thought that if I took on a chateau project like yours I'd probably _start_ with the cottage, get it totally comfy and livable, and then move into it while doing the bigger work of the chateau. That would have 2 advantages, it would be a chance to test out contractors before giving them the more important work. And it would mean getting into a comfy place more quickly at the start. One thing I've really not enjoyed about my own remodel was having to live in it while doing the work. It slowed me down and also made my daily life experience less pleasant.
Love your videos and look forward to them, only wish there were more. Totally understand though how much time you must put into them, plus you still have your chateau to work on. Thanks for sharing a little piece of your world.
I was listening and thought the kitchen situation must be hard if you like to cook and you have kids at home. But I am thankful for what you have. But most of all I can’t get over the size of the pear out on the counter. Take care and happy thanksgiving
The beautiful drone snowy landscape video and music had me totally mesmerized and transported back in time, imagining life here back in the day….and then I was instantly jerked back into present day when Lincoln took the trash can out 😂😂😂. Ah, modern conveniences, eh?
Amanda, love your painted kitchen window! Looks beautiful! Amanda, you and Lincoln are funny ~ that annoying baguette salesman! Your grounds are beautiful, and now even more stunning with the snow! I am encouraged by the work already completed inside and outside of your Chateau, that your end result of your kitchen will be stunning!!! Your drone photos are really lovely, and with the sun setting, absolutely breathtaking! Thank you for sharing …. Maybe nuts ….
I think you have to enjoy the doing of any project. The out come the finished project is important,it’s your home your choice. We just get to enjoy the doing of it. Thank you for sharing.
I certainly get the awkward kitchen! I have little space on the countertop but more then I did at one time. No storage for small appliances. I would kill for a large pantry were I had room to store all the junk!
I'm excited for your renovation. I can totally understand your reasoning to do the cottage first. Love to see the cats! Beautiful scenery of the frosted trees/landscape! Lynn in AZ
As many mentioned here, your ads are so funny. They're actually enjoyable to watch. Glad your roads weren't too bad for your trip to the store! Here (in Manche) we had probably a foot of snow, I saw several people get stuck on the road right here in the centre of town as they didn't sand the road fast enough. I think you'll be so happy with both your cottage and your kitchen when they get done. Already the cottage is looking so much more secure. Happy T-day!
Amanda I love your videos and so look forward to the next one. Lincoln is just laid back like my husband so I can relate. He has Covid atm so just chilling out. Don’t have the snow issue down here in Australia which this 84 year old is happy about. 🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺
Amanda, you did mention not being happy about European ovens. We do a lot of cooking and during Covid we decided to redo the kitchen--it was a Vipp from Denmark. It came with a 24" oven--I was skeptical but because of the convection--the pans don't need much air around them for circulation. Just put that out there.
Magnificent drone shots! 😮 simply takes ymy breath away. Thank you for taking such good care of all the critters that live on your property. You are a wonderful family and your new kitchen will bring you years of enjoyment! PS You are right about the kitty and Barry, striking resemblance 😅😅😅😅😅
Some beautiful photography in this episode, particularly the shot in the kitchen, out the window with the fruit on the stand. Lovely. It looked like a painting.
I totally get and also agree with your order of projects... no need to defend them with me! As an aside, I am as passionate about outbuildings as about anything, and love seeing them fixed up! Glad you're dealing with those annoying baguette salesmen. 😂😂😂
Amanda and Lincoln don't listen to The grapes that other people have. You knew going into your new home that you would have projects that unveiled surprises. How much I enjoy watching you uncover and rebuild your new space. Maybe I'm as sick as Amanda but I've watched each episode at least five times. I know it's crazy but I find Amanda's voice very fun and soothing and you people live real lives which is what I can relate to. It's realistic for things to go wrong, it's realistic to have building projects with surprises, it's realistic to just want to sit on the couch and eat fruit loops. I've experienced all those things too and so I'm here to cheer you on and to say please keep making episodes because I really really enjoyed them.
When you have alot of renovations to do it's very difficult to know what to do first you will get around to doing them all eventually I am sure love your videos ❤
OMG! I laughed and laughed whe you had that baguette man at the door! ha ha ha! And YES! Pancake is Barry Keogan (don't know how to spell it). Loved this!!!!!
I love that weird baguette guy!😂 He always makes us smile. Great content making goes into every video you make. The ugly kitchen is another's dream kitchen. Well, it's not my dream, but you did make it homey. I think every chef should have their dream kitchen. Well, at least a better functioning one. Love your cats, but I lose my, you know what if my dog or cat are in my kitchen. They can come eat in there as long as no food prep is happening. I know my cat at night is all over the counter. That is well disinfected prior to every use by me. It is the neurotic infection control nurse in me still. I can't say the same for my husband of 25 years or his mom who stays with us over Xmas. She isn't allowed to wash the dishes as she just runs them under cold tap water, and I freak.😂 Sorry for the rant! See what you triggered!😂 The fresh snow is beautiful, but you can keep it. Growing up in Labrador, I had enough of the snow. The big difference in Surrey, BC is all of the depressing rain, but I don't have to shovel that. I do miss the brilliant Labrador winter sun and the northern lights and my huge family, though. The feral cats are very happy their cat mom and dad take such good care of them, I am sure. When it comes to mayo, for me, it is Kraft Miracle Whip as number one and Hellman's number 2. You guys may not have Kraft products your way. Take care, all. Remember, you have already accomplished so much living in France. Now you don't have to say Trump is your president!😂 Mon diieu!😂❤
I get it. But when I couldn't stand my kitchen any longer, I tore it apart and redid everything myself. Took me a month to finish the whole thing. But it was worth it.
Beautiful stunning aerial shots on the Vlog today and it’s always such a joy to see your cats. Thanks for sharing. I always love your videos. Feels like I’m catching up with old friends.
Amanda you spoke about the size of the kitchen appliances. Besides the behemoths Le Cornue and the Italian brand Bertazonni, are the popular known Viking (partly French owned) and German brand Miele competitively priced? Miele is gaining traction here in the US as a major competitor to Sub-Zero Wolf. I wished it was available there. I'm addicted to their steam oven for cooking. Not a fan of the microwave as the steam oven does a much better and healthier job at reheating leftovers. Love the first snow drone shots 🥶🗻.
I need to tell you...I just love Lincoln as baguette guy so much. he should be included as much as possible. lol
Lincoln is the baguette guy? Noooooo. 🤣
I don’t mind watching their Ads- they almost always interject humor somewhere😂
He still has to learn how to wear properly a beret. He should take a course with the village elders. 😄
So funny! "Va t'en, s'il vous plaît!" Direct, yet polite. 😂
You HAVE to ignore the negative comments. There will always be complainers that have no life. And people you have to remember Amanda was a chef by trade. Let her have her dream. Love your channel. ❤
Exactly!!✌🏼
Well said!
I liked the video. The remodel will be fun.
Gotta have Hellman's.
As always, a great video with humour, animals and beautiful aerial shots. Keep doing what you’re doing, you have many fans.
Thank you very much!
And more importantly it is your home and you are enjoying the journey.
Yup you're transforming your Chateau in a cozy home!
I totally agree.
In other chateaus I fast forward the commercials. However, I stay for your commercials. You two have the best sense of humour which comes out in your commercials.
Thank you!
I run the ads to generate the extra income for the channel, but I usually skip the sponsor ads, not Amanda & Lincolns though😂❤!!!

Same. I watch sponsored ads only for this channel and Kinging It (theirs are a hoot, too).
The two of you have such an artistic eye and great sense of humor!

Drop everything immediately to watch Amanda and Lincoln! ❤😊
Oh yeah!
I WAS in the process of watching cat videos when this popped up, cats'll wait😊!!!
YES!
Thank you for sharing your French life with those of us who will never renovate a French chateau or have a walled garden where the deer can't munch on our flowers and produce. Your humor is delightful.
Baguette Man made us both laugh so hard that our coffee sloshed and almost spilled. You two are a fabbo team and we're firm fans now. Well done!
Can't wait to see your kitchen remodel. Love your channel, keep up the good work!
Your video is my weekly joy amidst the generally depressing news of the world. And your drone shots are breathtaking. Keep it up!
Personally, I love the beauty of your videos and look forward to them each week. Happy Holidays to your family.

Lincoln does a great job with sponsor ads! And so fun watching your progress, scenery & animals!
Lincoln, you’re the best impersonating a French dude! Thank you for another refreshing interlude.Michael Kentucky, USA

Lovely and interesting as always--those drone shots. And I think you're nuts about the cat. Watch out for that baguette man.

I remember when the initial cottage reno was to create winter quarters for a certain outdoor cat who would always be an outdoor cat.😂
😂 She is currently snuggled in a blanket on the sofa.
Beautiful drone footage!
It's still a hearty kitchen despite its dysfunctional surfaces. It will bring so much joy once it's redone. You will appreciate it that much more
I always love the B-roll footage you show. It's nice to see the beautiful countryside put to soothing music.
I totally understand that you want to design your dream kitchen… But I would never call it ugly. 🌼
Stunning drone shots!
Thanks a lot!

Beautiful video looks like the scene of a mystery movie.

Thank Goodness you saved the cottage!, Just like rescuing an older cat! I just love your photography! It is such a stress re-leaver for me!
Beautiful place you both have there. All the hard work is paying off and your vision is materializing . CONGRATULATIONS

You need to publish a find a “Where's the Baguette Man” book! Lincoln is a scream. So deadpan.
So o o o fun to take some time with Amanda and Lincoln🌬️🌬️❄️❄️🌨️❄️🥐🥐🥖🍷🍷
Don’t ever lose your sense of humour! I love it! Stunningly beautiful countryside. ❤
As always fab drone footage!! Baguette man!! 😂😂😂😂😂. I think you should start a channel with just drone footage and music for relaxation!! 😉

Christmas holidays are in one month 🙂 I think Lincoln and Amanda will have plenty of time before !
The drone shots were beautiful, loved the cupboard with the baguette storage bag, my fav channel, I look forward to your videos every week, ❤
All takes time Amanda x don't stress
The beautiful drone snowy landscape video and music had me totally mesmerized and transported back in time, imagining life here back in the day….and then I was instantly jerked back into present day when Lincoln took the trash can out 😂😂😂. Ah, modern conveniences, eh?
Beautiful and funny episode. Thank you.😊
Amanda, love your painted kitchen window!
Lynn in AZ
Dont give me shit for the Hellmanns! 😂
Thanks again for another great video. I’d love the footage of the countryside, it brings me a lot of peace.
Amanda I love your videos and so look forward to the next one. Lincoln is just laid back like my husband so I can relate. He has Covid atm so just chilling out. Don’t have the snow issue down here in Australia which this 84 year old is happy about. 🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺
Always glad to see a new video from you and Lincoln! ❤
Can’t wait to see your vision come to life for the kitchen and cottage. Love your style ❤
You do you and it’s a pleasure to watch every episode. Don’t listen to negative people. Really looking forward to seeing the kitchen renovation ❤
The Drone shots of the Snowfall and absolutely Beautiful!
I respect your decisions, and love your sense of style. Always a good day when you post. Liz
See what you triggered!😂
The fresh snow is beautiful, but you can keep it.
