MrMobile [Michael Fisher] I totally agree and hope my best buy store I work at gets a display model, would be nice to talk to customers about the blackberry again
This reminds me when I first used a Palm Treo 650. Kinda heavy phone (for its time) but with the qwery keyboard you had a fully functional device that would allow you to do anything you usually did on a PDA. I feel its kinda like a much improved and modern version of the concept the Treo introduced: A completely business device, with a great OS, great battery life and ready for all your multimedia needs. Man, I NEED, I WANT this device SO MUCH! Great review @crackberrykevin.
Same, my S6 gets less than 2 hours on screen after less than 2 years of owning it. I don't care about having 4k screen, I just want the damn thing to work.
To be honest that, I think "Keytwo" should bring back the Blackberry navi bar and delete the android navi keys, just like the Classic. Since with Android, Blackberry to make the system to work with blackberry keys, just like the Keyone. I miss physical keys so much, not just the keyboard, but also a key for answering/hang up phone calls. Come on Blackberry, you going to the right path and keep it up!
I looked at some reviews while deciding whether I should buy this or not. I also had Amazon open to shop for it. After watching this video I made my decision. I can't wait for it to be delivered. Great review thank you!
I've had the phone a week, absolutely love it! When BB went bad on the market and was hard to find in most stores, I did the switch to iPhones. But I was so excited when I heard about Keyone that I picked one up as soon as it arrived in Sydney stores. I've always loved Blackberry, there's just something no nonsense but yet classy about them. I just hope the mix of TCL and BB brings them back strong in the market, and that they continue with the keyboard style phone, and fantastic battery life. Thanks for your review Kevin! And a thought... I seen other review, and mention was made re no real point bothering using BBM, as nobody on there these days, so many other messaging apps out there etc. For those who like Blackberry, do you think its worth kick starting BBM again as a global community network? And if we get strong enough base, hopefully BB will continue to produce quality stuff for those who like what they do. Thoughts out there?
Just received mine today. It takes me back to 2008 and I love it. Charged full on Tuesday at 2pm. By 530pm Wednesday I still had 85% charge. That is just INSANE!
I was a bb passport user it was great i really love the keyboard but after a year I had real bad experience with it...my bb passport jz went overheat and battery life gone from bad to worst....lousy camera lagging..etc...I hope this keynote will be a totally a new change and solid will definitely purchase this phone
Dennis Deveaux I loved my storm. I know a lot of people did not like the keyboard, but I was able to type faster on that keyboard than any phone to date.
Asante (thanks) 4 the review Kev! As a Priv owner I c this being my next Blackberry device. While I do like the color of the K1 I would love 2 c it n other colors as well. Especially in blue, similar 2 the Classic that u displayed n the video. I love the capacitive PKB feature but it would b nice if the fingerprint key could b used like the trackpad on the Classic 4 times where u need a cursor on the screen so your fingers don't have to leave the keyboard. That was 1 thing I love so much about the Classic which is my favorite Blackberry of all time in terms of productivity. Maybe that can b a feature n the K2 or K1 Pro that u suggested n the video. Peace!
I want one of these, but the wait continues. Is it true they only shipped out a few thousand in the first batch? At what point do we all just think "It's been a month/few months, might a well wait a few more for a price drop." :(....
Killer review! I've already pre-ordered it. Can't wait to hold the keyone in my hands! One question, I'm a BB10 user and I absolutely love it. Is there anyway to turn off the android notification shade and only use hub?
Hey, Kevin! Love your BB KEYone reviews, as always! I really could use your help! I really want the BB KEYone, but I also need to know if I should wait till the 64GB and 4 GB RAM phone to get it (waiting that long, however that will be, is an issue 'cause I'm supposed to give my Dad my iPhone SE because his is dying a horrible death, but I need a new phone first). Will 3 GB RAM be future proof enough to run Android 8.0 Oreo or will the 3 GB it comes with be too few? Will it be smooth for a few years like iPhones are or will it start to lag like people say it might? Should I wait for the 4 GB version or will it not make much difference? I am really good at closing out apps and only have a few open at once (usually one or two), I almost never play games, but I'm worried it won't be enough if I'm occasionally playing a big game or two (Pokemon GO and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, for instance). Please help me! Thank you so much!
One thing that should be noted is that the area of Keyone screen is the same with a 4.8 inch 16:9 screen (ordinary smartphone aspect ratio) or the same with a 5 inch (Galaxy S8 aspect ratio). So in reality you have a larger working area than that of an ordinary 4.5 inch phone.
CrackBerry Kevin I envy you for have your hands on so many, u can always send me one. I'm literally dying to have my hand on this can't wait...always love blackberry.
Thanks for great review. Battery life !!! great.... You removed the BB HUB, just like Mr Mobile. I know it's quite hefty....what do you use instead for email app? Did you ditched it because HUB+ services was the main battery eater? As I love the integration with email/calendar etc... Wonder if it's worth while to ditch HUB?
Not a Fan of the Hub? Didn't Kevin spend months pimping the Hub in the BB10 days? Or did he mean that he doesn't like the Android implementation of the Hub?
He was talking about the flexibility of android, that if you needed to remove the Hub (or any other app you didn't like) you can just do that. He wasn't talking about the hub is the first place.
yes with the all black color! 👍👍 I hope someday, the technology will allow AM radio (not just FM)... also, better camera software (remember Canon 5d Mk1, it was just 12 megapixels)
I am a blackberry user since 10 to 12 years. and I hv used almost all BlackBerry major models. but. this one I found one of the best. phone in the market. even better than Apple and samsung.
True enough on battery life,,, but,,, there u go, huge battery, small screen and lesser power eating specs. And that's not a bad thing. Another BB thing. Not alot o bull, just the strong basics. Good video.
I have never had a blackberry but I have always loved them... When my friends dad let me use his, I preferred it to my dad's iPad... I really want it but it actually costs too much for what you get.. I would consider it one of the greats😂😂😂
dude! 4 keyones just sitting there?! we are going wild here waiting..my priv screen just broke and I still owe 390 on it! I had to downgrade to a used Droid turbo..I need one haha.
whats taking it so long for it to come out in the US?! and will there be a version that will run the blackberry os? some of us dont care for all the useless apps
I wish for a better Priv. The fact that it flopped made me sad. I love sliders, and the hidden keyboard is a plus when you need to write. I hope they release another one soon!
Nice review but I look forward to ur review the OS, how to's, browser, etc. I will definitely be a Day One buyer, as soon as it comes to the US, unlocked. Will be replacing my Classic
Talk to Google about that. OS updated will be given through them like they have been for the Android platform. Blackberry/TCL make the device, software is all Google. All the time.
Yeah.. guilty.. more of a VLOGCAST REVIEW... that comes down to me being a super busy dude with not enough time to produce an epic review (like MrMobile's). Read my written review for more info!
I like the priv more because you can hide the keyboard while watching sports, youtube, netflix or whatever in bed before going to sleep. But idk if I should buy they priv because its already 2 years old.. what do you think i should pick?
I was just about to buy it, but when I tried a display unit at a store, I immediately changed my mind. Keyboard doesn't have a dedicated period button, but has one for the $ sign. It's a little thing but it will naw the back of my mind for the entire time of owning the phone.
Density FTW. Seriously one of the phones you need to hold to appreciate.
The Passport felt like that. Dense. I liked it a lot and always hoped to see a Android Passport. This phone seems to be it.
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] I totally agree and hope my best buy store I work at gets a display model, would be nice to talk to customers about the blackberry again
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] cameo Appearance
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] its so different. I like it alot
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] bro do a giveaway 😅
I am getting one without seeing any review because I trust and LOOOVE blackberry products!
This reminds me when I first used a Palm Treo 650. Kinda heavy phone (for its time) but with the qwery keyboard you had a fully functional device that would allow you to do anything you usually did on a PDA.

Great review @crackberrykevin.
I think I'm going to get this over the S8
Same, my S6 gets less than 2 hours on screen after less than 2 years of owning it. I don't care about having 4k screen, I just want the damn thing to work.
dreharrison352 definitely, even the keyone camera are better then s8

Been waiting for this review for a while! Great energy as always, and I'll definitely be returning to my physical-keyboard roots soon!
Blackberry needs to hire this guy.
Ryan T he is the founder of the cb. Don't worry
FOUR units on the table? Gimme one, why don't you, Kev!
I get a good little laugh out of almost all Kevin's videos, thank you my up North friend.
when available.. will get this on day one... so looking forward to it.
I looked at some reviews while deciding whether I should buy this or not. I also had Amazon open to shop for it. After watching this video I made my decision. I can't wait for it to be delivered. Great review thank you!
KeyOne user here. 2020!
Ditto
Keyone looks solid, premium and straight to the point phone. I'm looking forward to purchasing this.
I CANT WAIT!!! UGH!!! #CRACKBERRY
Very good review! I subscribed months ago just because of your great updates on the Keyone.
Hope to see a full black Keyone soon. Except that all are just fine! Can't ask anything better than that!
I've had the phone a week, absolutely love it! When BB went bad on the market and was hard to find in most stores, I did the switch to iPhones. Watching this, getting excited for the key2
I was a bb passport user it was great i really love the keyboard but after a year I had real bad experience with it...my bb passport jz went overheat and battery life gone from bad to worst....lousy camera lagging..etc...I hope this keynote will be a totally a new change and solid will definitely purchase this phone
yep colours! would love to see a full black colour scheme
I would like to see it next to the regular size iPhone to see how the screens really compare.
Yes!! I can't wait to have this one!
"killer storm" - oh no.... Bad memories of the 9530
Dennis Deveaux i love the storm
Dennis Deveaux I loved my storm. I know a lot of people did not like the keyboard, but I was able to type faster on that keyboard than any phone to date.
Great Review. I appreciate the emphasis that you placed on the battery life. I believe that is one of the most over looked attributes of phones.
I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!
I like what I'm seeing. I'll have to check this one out.
I'm going to buy it! Thanks for doing this review!
BlackBerry never fails to surpass previous advancements & quality with each new phone!!! #Die-hard-Blackberry-Fan/User!!!
i LOVE my KeyOne ! - would love one in gold !
I need this BB Keyone now!

King is back ✌🏻
I want one of these, but the wait continues. Is it true they only shipped out a few thousand in the first batch? At what point do we all just think "It's been a month/few months, might a well wait a few more for a price drop." :(....
You must be very happy with the black edition
I'm 14 and getting a job this summer just to get this phone!!!!!!! I was thinking about iPhone 8 but the KEYone is better!!!
The younger you become a BlackBerry fan the better!
Thomas H same here
I know that TCL is manufacturing this phone but did blackberry have a part in designing it?
Did blackberry atleast partially design it? I know tcl is manufacturing it.
Yes BlackBerry designed it, they said it was the last in-house designed BlackBerry.
Why is it taking so long I want one now!
Killer review! I've already pre-ordered it. Can't wait to hold the keyone in my hands! One question, I'm a BB10 user and I absolutely love it. Is there anyway to turn off the android notification shade and only use hub?
superb review
Also if you want the bb classic icons, you can download an icon Pack for it which gives me nostalgia overload lol
Did you ditched it because HUB+ services was the main battery eater? As I love the integration with email/calendar etc... Wonder if it's worth while to ditch HUB?
I use Gmail app and/or Timyo app (depending what I'm doing).
CrackBerry Kevin n
Not a Fan of the Hub? Didn't Kevin spend months pimping the Hub in the BB10 days?
Or did he mean that he doesn't like the Android implementation of the Hub?
KAM1138a I would say he didn't like Android version of Hub
KAM1138a I uninstalled hub on my dtek60, it gets slow actually somewhat fast. I rather check the individual apps on it
He was talking about the flexibility of android, that if you needed to remove the Hub (or any other app you didn't like) you can just do that. He wasn't talking about the hub is the first place.
Sure. I love the Hub (on BB10), and it's implementation being acceptable on Android is a huge issue for me.
He said "For me, and this might sound crazy. I'm not a huge fan of the blackberry hub."
Currently have the BB Classic, and I have to carry two phones. I need the KeyOne, but sadly can't afford it :(
Hey Kevin. Can you do a comparison video of the Priv vs KeyOne?
yes with the all black color!

I have never had a blackberry but I have always loved them... When my friends dad let me use his, I preferred it to my dad's iPad... I really want it but it actually costs too much for what you get.. I would consider it one of the greats😂😂😂
The review is great! When does it release in the Indian Market?
Never!
am absolutely gonna buy one, retire my passport.
I want to buy one to replace my Passport too, but I just bought it in like Feb or Mar :(
Does the keyone heat up like the PRIV??
PRIV had a shitty snapdragon 808 that overheated and consumed battery like there is no tomorrow, almost like the horrible 810. Those days are gone.
Runs pretty cool!
Angel Perez my priv never heats up?
I was going to ask this question as well lol as I watch this review on my 800 degree BlackBerry PRIV......
is the keyone going to have a charging dock like the older blackberries?
dude! 4 keyones just sitting there?! we are going wild here waiting..my priv screen just broke and I still owe 390 on it! I had to downgrade to a used Droid turbo..I need one haha.
whats taking it so long for it to come out in the US?! and will there be a version that will run the blackberry os? some of us dont care for all the useless apps
fantastic phone...fantastic review . can't wait to feel one :D
I wish for a better Priv. The fact that it flopped made me sad. I love sliders, and the hidden keyboard is a plus when you need to write. I hope they release another one soon!
hey kevin can you send me one of those keyone please
Kevin I wouldn't mind u letting me have the key one sitting next to u 😅 (don't care if it's used either)
You mentioned that you are not a fan of the Hub? can I know how why?
Nice review but I look forward to ur review the OS, how to's, browser, etc. I will definitely be a Day One buyer, as soon as it comes to the US, unlocked. Will be replacing my Classic
What about the services , latest update & problems solving?
Talk to Google about that. OS updated will be given through them like they have been for the Android platform. Blackberry/TCL make the device, software is all Google. All the time.
What happened to the BB Blend? The access to PC was awesome, is there anyway to get the same access?
This phone will go on sale in México ?
Can you use TH-cam in portrait mode and have it full out the screen?
I am actually thinking about the passport as it looks very different
Can u screen mirror onto a smart tv?
I am already looking for this phone.. Wana buy it in Nigeria
Do they have phones over their? i thought they used smoke signals!!
MERCENARY FOR HIRE those smoke signals improve battery life too. Idiot!
Seems like a Great Phone but When in this video did you use it.. Other reviews speak of the features on the phone while showing the features in use?
Yeah.. guilty.. more of a VLOGCAST REVIEW... that comes down to me being a super busy dude with not enough time to produce an epic review (like MrMobile's). Read my written review for more info!
Will Do Kev..
How come the priv is not even mentioned?
when release key1 in Qatar?
I want one!
More on speaker phone/sound quality and call quality please.
Check out the written review on CrackBerry... more details there.
Hey, could you show the accessibility settings? For the visually impaired and for people with disabilities? Thank you.
still expecting a 3:4 screen ratio bb device with hard keyboard. For me the same length as the classic is more appropriate
I would love to have this phone. Everyday i'm looking on amazon.
I guess they heard you. They released an all black with 4gb ram and 64gb, but not sure if available in US. You did forget to ask for waterproofing.
Can I get it and have cricket wireless?
I see you have some extra KEYone's on deck...
How compare its keyboard with the Blackberry Bold? Size, comfort, response?
could you do a priv v keyone pros and cons? just for fun.
Does it have dual sim?
Blackberry implemented most of the things you said. They listen to you Kevin. You influence their next steps
the price should have been a bit low considering they have lost the market and to gain it give a little space to the customers
I'm buying it but please can you confirm if it has duel stereo speakers or mono?
I like the priv more because you can hide the keyboard while watching sports, youtube, netflix or whatever in bed before going to sleep. But idk if I should buy they priv because its already 2 years old.. what do you think i should pick?
oh a added feature would be waterproofing, not needed but definitely a plus
I was just about to buy it, but when I tried a display unit at a store, I immediately changed my mind. Keyboard doesn't have a dedicated period button, but has one for the $ sign. It's a little thing but it will naw the back of my mind for the entire time of owning the phone.
can't you disable the touch on the keyboard?
Please I can't find any video app on this device any help
dose the figer buttons have back lights
How to buy in India???
Time to upgrade your sound recording system mate. All the best for your channel..
how do you remove the hub ? Thanks
How's the speakers for listing to music?
Right, I'm just wondering how it is compared to my Pixel. Louder or clearer?
Speakerphone? Speaker quality? Sound quality on phone calls (loud)?
