If I'm being honest, I'm starting to get tired of every other SCP article being about some end of the world business or alternate dimension stuff where a god is trying to crawl out of to kill us. I've always been more partial to early SCP style articles, things that are a bit strange, places that don't work as they should, little horrors that kill maybe two people at a time if you don't pay attention...and stuff like this. An odd person from an odd place trying to find somewhere that wants him and an escape from the odd, horrible things he'd done. This is my kind of SCP.
Some of my favorites are the semi-tongue-in-cheek ones. For instance, the dog that shakes til it is dry, which was being used as a submarine steam water reactor in an alternate universe's k19 (get it? Canine-teen). Anomalies are a great excuse to get goofy
the "minor" SCPs are good exactly for that, feel relatable, stir unexpected feelings from someone who's ready for some gore or abhorrent occurrence of un-nature. Then there are the bigger, flashier, dangerous and over the top SCPs that paint a greater picture, a battle of humanity against the anomalous and itself. They show just how big the Foundation multiverse is, which has its own merits to me, that wide spectrum is what makes the wiki so unique
As a military man this speaks absolute volumes and it brings me to a story of myself as a fresh wide eyed young man unfortunately tasting combat and his own blood for the first time and how as I was fading in and out as I sat on top of an Afghan mountain the only thing that kept coming in and out of my mind is how absolutely beautiful that mountain range I thought I was gunna die on was. I don’t like talking about it but sometimes out of the ugliness and hate of human kind there is always a bit of beauty hiding somewhere u just need the right perspective at the right time to see it. Bless everyone who takes the time to read this Edit- thanks to everyone that has taken the time to read this little excerpt and like and comment, and in these ever changing and difficult times I just wanna take the time to remind u that we are all people no matter skin color, race or even job, there will unfortunately always be bad people and the ones who chose to stand against them to save the majority we do it out of love for our fellow mankind, yes also unfortunately sometimes that might mean lives must be take for the greater good and also we are all humans we make mistakes sometimes but all in all the less we act like shit heads to each other the better the world becomes even if it’s just a little. And for god sake smile more motherfuckers I’ve been shot at more times then I care to recall been shot and almost killed once, blown up 3 times and have lost many great friends who were of all race and religion and I still find stupid shit that makes me smile and enjoy the life I have, so stop being shit heads and enjoy the little things like getting to take ur boots off after a long day of work or a cooling breeze in 110 degree weather lol idk just find something 🤷🏽♂️
I actually wrote 2273 partially in response to my nervousness, my anticipation about enlisting. I was worried that, in service to my country, I'd become a war criminal and a monster, or that I'd be subjected to horrific trauma. That hasn't happened and I'm not reenlisting so it's unlikely to happen but I'm glad something I wrote spoke to a combat vet. That being said I'm sorry you experienced what you did in Afghanistan.
AJ Blackwood hey man to each is own honesty the military isn’t for everyone I originally joined as a way to escape from my shitty home life thinking that I could just coast by and get paid to stay fit and and I was also infantry in the army so as one does with that title I talked hella shit to everyone and anyone(still do lol) but when my number was called up for a tour I had no clue what I really had gotten myself into, I mean at 19 your invincible unfortunately life has way to make you rethink ALOT and graciously it also gives you a chance to re-humble your self. I do not regret joining and re-enlisting nore do I regret what happened on that mountain and those villages. As military members we get screwed a lot not only by members of our government but by the extremely large population of civilians who have absolutely no clue about the conditions of those people not only in Afghanistan but in many places stricken by terrorism and war. Although I carried a rifle with me everywhere we went in the 6 months I was out there I was probably shot at 4 times they know not to fire at a better trained military(there not dumb people just bad people) so they took it out on the people we liberated, fed, and gave a reliable water source to. And it’s heart breaking and frustrating that every time u save some people’s lives and they thank you and give you blessing to hear that two days after u left because we helped them they were murdered honestly I think that a huge contributor to many ptsd cases cuz I know it always broke my heart to get that news but god bless I actually got into SCPs dicking around on TH-cam with the little bit of internet we got in Fort Drum lol be this was wonderful man I wish I had the skill you guys have in order to make these awesome SCPs

Which leads me to believe that they were the original inherited race of the planet earth. Not seeded by a god of any sort. Where as Humanity had a short novel worth of deific benefactors, /1000 just had to figure the universe out on their own, roll up their sleeves and put in the work, as it were.
"a machine who's gears grind against eachother, is a machine that can not work." Oddly appropriate quote for our real world current events. Could read it a few ways too.
SCP-2273 is just an allegory for the essence of humanity. Even though he came from a strange, far-away place, and he looks different, even terrifying, on the outside, it doesn't change the fact that on the inside he's still a man. He's still a human being.
Yeah. I had a whole lot going on when I wrote him. Cold War satire in like four ways. Satire of the "big badass supersoldier" archetype. Exploration of trauma. That kind of stuff. He's very much a product of who I was when I wrote him.
Though making the choice to choose requires knowledge, knowledge of something beyond war, beyond bloodshed. It requires you to not only understand what you want but also understand how you can make your way towards it.
That's like the exact theme of Halo 4 and 5, that supersoldiers aren't just weapons, deep down they're people too even if they can perform superhuman feats
This passage alone shows that SCP writings can be a beautiful thing, can show different topics and themes, can show us what life can mean. What life can give and take. They can show us life’s beautiful nature and it dark nature. Thank you to all SCP writers. Thank you so much.

i think the Doctor who was contained as an SCP is an Easteregg. in SCP Containment Breach is one ending where you ( a Class-D that was an ex Senior Researcher) get declared as an SCP for getting out
No, I don't remember which SCP we tested on CB but the reason he was considered as an SCP is because of his increased luck and his ability of not dying(this counts as when you die and load up a new save or load your own safe)
This one just makes me sob. A man who goes through hell finds himself through his few friends at the foundation. He lives the rest of his life unable to talk to the one person he truly loved, unable to be there for his friend in their final moments. Everything won't be okay, but in the end, Father Anvil finds peace in trying to help others in ways he can't help himself.

Jadan Velasquez Mejia because The SCP foundation usually refers to the church of the Broken God’s God as ‘their God’ so that was the thing that tipped me off as to where Alexei was, and I was expressing my... mixed feelings to the author about putting him with them. Basically it was a ‘relatable comment’ as I guess you might say, because I’m sure a lot of people thought the same thing.
He didn't really have an immune system yo speak of. His body hadn't seen the sun or felt open air since he was a child. He probably wouldn't have survived it's removal, which is what he lamented about in the quote at the end. He couldn't become mechanised because his symbiotic shell was too tough to mechanise, but too essential to his survival to risk damaging.
He wore it for the rest of his life but the story so good we don't see him as bug armored Warrior but just a normal man with love, regrets, and other emotions.
This is also most definitely a direct reference to Dostoevsky's novel "Karamazov Brothers", where the youngest and most compassionate in the family, Alexey, finds himself in servitude to the church. Great stuff.
@@ПётрКвилкин O brother he is practice and the depending on the period and have been struggling with his faith but he was full blown had faith in the institution. The first time I read this file, I had come to the conclusion that Belitrov’s nightmares were simply the result of PTSD and completely unrelated to his armour. I don’t know if that was the intention; just my take, but it would paint him writing them off as denial.
It might have been a combination of both. His brain could be trying to lock away the memories, which caused the suit to bring the ambush site's memory back so that he could warn his army of enemy presence or a recovery team of his squad's bodies' location. This coupled with his survivor's guilt is probably what caused the vision of the dead bodies accusing him.
This is absolutely the best story i've ever listened to in an SCP documentary channel, can't believe i was only listening to the most known SCP's, and not this beauty of a story and lifetime of a Soviet Russian man.
I can see the moment when the “someone to watch over us” entity appear before Alexey in his final moment, for the terminal peace of mind before drifting away, gently, calmly. For his journey has ended not with war, but peace.
The fact that this SCP ties together a Cold War Apocalypse, veteran trauma, and existential religion, is hugely impressive and memorable. Serious emotional impact in play. I could easily imagine this as a novel or movie. His arc/tone is not dissimilar to Dr Manhattan, birthed out of incredible pain, gaining unnatural power, then retreating from a world’s cruelty to think on existence and himself. Stepping away from a world he no longer presumes the right to affect and confuse with youthful fury. There’s something remarkably human in it.

I think I found my new favorite SCP. Alexei is so well written, so wonderfuly characterized and fits into the SCP world so well it feels unreal. My most favorite aspect is deffinately how his relationship with the researcher was handled. This kind of thing is rare on the wiki, and i dread to read some of the newer entries. This is good enough to be it's own standalone peace of fiction.
It’s honestly so beautiful, like I know everyone else is saying this but honestly, Ive watched a bunch of these before and just looking at the thumbnail I ignored it a few times. I am so glad I finally decided to watch this, it doesnt even matter to me that this is a SCP story, it feels so real and I found myself at the edge of tears a few times. It really makes you grateful that there are people out there to write these stories, that people can get these kind of emotions into a story about a Russian bug soldier. And then on top of that you have a channel with narration that just is so relaxing and soothing, and honestly I feel like they put their heart into so much of it and its just honestly some of the best stuff I’ve seen, and this was only what? 30 minutes? jeez, just so amazing, mind blowing each time magnificent job, keep up the amazing work!!
Beautiful... you find the SCP universe and it’s terrifying and epic in equal measure.. where the end of humanity might be a fairly ok scenario sometimes... the Statue is legend and the Reptile and the Dr are awesome and horrible and yet it’s These tales that make it... real..... whenever someone asks me about the SCP universe I simply say it’s whatever your dreams are good or bad
I hope that I'm not the only one that cried during this. May it be for either sadness or joy. Its good to hear these stories of people going through great trails to see the metaphorical light at the end of the tunnel coming out unscathed or atleast to be at peace with what transpired during that journey. May men like Alexai Belitrov find peace and happiness before they pass.

I don't know how i got so spiritually healed by this tale
I agree I enjoy those occasionally but I agree with u more
the "minor" SCPs are good exactly for that, feel relatable, stir unexpected feelings from someone who's ready for some gore or abhorrent occurrence of un-nature. Then there are the bigger, flashier, dangerous and over the top SCPs that paint a greater picture, a battle of humanity against the anomalous and itself. They show just how big the Foundation multiverse is, which has its own merits
to me, that wide spectrum is what makes the wiki so unique
There aren’t that many World Enders on the modern wiki. Most of them are either anomalous people in shitty circumstances or just weird phenomenon
There aren't that many world ending scp. There are far more smaller stories such as these.
Stories like this just show that no matter what side your on a beautiful mountain will always catch a view
Thank you for your service
God bless you, man. If the video weren't already enough to make me tear up, your story is.

Jadan Velasquez Mejia thank you for coming to my TED talk, I’ll be here all week
@@maeveheart7464 lol
Anyone else forget he had bug armor near the end?
It wouldn’t be to far fetched that the Foundation actually found a way to remove the armor before he was released
@Modustollens1 Beautifully put. Could not agree more.
I did, the story made you feel only remorse and eternal peace for him. In which he very well deserved.

A soldier in living armour converting to the Church of the Broken God. That's like an anathema in the SCP universe, pretty cool.

True, that is always a possibility.
This is absolutely the best story i've ever listened to in an SCP documentary channel, can't believe i was only listening to the most known SCP's, and not this beauty of a story and lifetime of a Soviet Russian man.
