Small note: Several mentions of scp-001 being a dog or acting like a dog are present in the article. This is actually a dog trying to be a good boy by completing it's mission to contain anomalies, but not understanding that what it is doing is unethical and questions, like how a hunting dog or gaurd dog would act if just given simple yet vague instructions: they do there jobs the best because there is no definition of where to stop.

Apparently, one good boy. It's somehow capable of figuring out the hidden laws of the universe that allow those things to exist at all. Then undermines them, and they necessarily die. Or just stop existing. Makes sense, everything has a way and means that it lives. Take that away and, well, that's the end.
@@daxondelly2141 001 didn't kill himself in the end, he "explained" himself because explained anomalies are still neutralized. By publishing his full source code he proved he wasn't anomalous. He was able to wield and manipulated info-based anomalies because he learned how to from the documents, but his core programming remained totally non-anomalous.

Hey -- got around to watching this at work (original author). I liked the video, and quite appreciated it! One side-note: It's obsessed with dogs/cats (and good boys/bad boys) partly 'cuz of the puppy SCP, but also because it became 'aware' of its own name: Erzatz Type AK9.

I thought it was named that because there's an entire alternate-reality German canine based science that's documented in the SCP foundation.
Like the nuclear sub they contained that was powered by a dog that when submerged in water shook so fast that it boiled water.
There's also a great deal of science fiction that pertains to using the brains of animals in various kinds of machines for computational power.
As a life-long cat lover, I can assure you all that there is no such thing as an "ethical feline", and anything claiming to be such a thing should be considered suspicious by default.

Ok I might be able to explain this procedure. There's a theory that SCP-106 and SCP-3001 are connected, the theory states that after Dr Scranton did get out of the "red reality" but because of his exposure to low hume levels he came back anomalous and insane after his time thus making him SCP-106. Now how does that correlate to the procedure, well to start at the beginning of the article it is stated that he is married to a woman anmed Anna Lang and although the article doesn't specify her race we could assume that she is asian by looking at her last name.If this is correct then that explains the "physical contact with one mature female of asiatic gaze part".Unfortunately I can't come up with an explanation for the audio recordings part.
So I have explained the first part but what about the "red cinnamon candies will begin manifesting within the containment zone. " ,in order to explain this we have to go back to the story of Dr Scranton. After unsuccessfully going through a wormhole he ends up in a "non reality" where only him and a control panel from the scp site exist, Scranton uses the panel to record audio logs of himself and whilst the panel is functional it emits a red light earning it the nickname "red". So if both "red" and an asian woman are around SCP-106 (formerly Scranton) it could make him happy to be with what he thinks is his wife and best friend.

That movie is good, though why they made a sequel for it is a mystery to me.
The funny thing is, the AI didn’t actually neutralize all of the SCP’s. It was designated SCP-048, the cursed SCP number. It was kind of a no win situation for the AI. By letting itself live, it was allowing at least one anomaly to survive, but by killing itself, it was furthering the anomaly that caused the destruction of whatever holds the 48th slot in the database. SCP-048 remains.
It was the last scp, so the designation goes to nothing now
If you look on the wiki, the 048 slot in the database is perpetually kept empty anyway, and they still consider it anomalous even if it’s effect does not occur. The Ai did nothing to neutralize the curse. Theoretically, is someone or something, even if it isn’t anomalous we’re to be designated SCP-048, the curse would afflict them.

@@goldenking2046 I don't know. It seems too convenient that the Ai ends up decommissioning itself after it receives that designation. Why else would the writer mention that it was given the 48 slot?
@@cobblegen1204 it might have just been superstition thats self fulfilling. People contain it are more on edge cause they heard the number was cursed. Most people know that being put on edge causes mistakes.

I’ve tried watching other SCP channels, but the Exploring Series just really does it for me. I don’t care much for flashy animations, just give me a soothing voice and in-depth exploration of an SCP and I’m happy.
This is easily the most underrated SCP-001 Entry.

Oh, this is a neat approach! I don’t know what most of the 001 proposals were like, but I always thought about the whole concept as the first scp. Having it effectively be the last one, having neutralized the rest, is a fun subversion. Had me confused but hooked as to how this would be 001

You do my favorite SCP related readings. I listen to them in the background while I work and they're just perfectly executed. You add a professional and authoritative sound to the material which allows one to more easily suspend disbelief, perfect for imagining the Foundation and its inhabitants. So good!

This is a horrifying scenario. Everything is in complexity, a fate more terrifying than entropy. Everything makes no sense and seems so so strange. The AIs requests if left unanswered often result in consequences, but. How do you even begin to breakdown such heinous and baffling requests.

I can see why the AI kept testing SCP-1459, The Puppy Machine. Through brute forcing all methods of killing puppies; 1459 would eventually become neutralized from no more methods being available
I really hate scp-1459 too and glad you skipped over it.

@@yesno7889 1459 is the "Puupy Machibe". The one that manifests puppy dogs, kills them (usually violently), and gives people cookies if they chose a method that hasn't been used before.

Idk why this is the only scp channel that goes as in depth as you do, but please dont ever stop. You're the best and only scp narrator, in my opinion.
AI didnt destroy every anomaly,it changed the SCiPNet so it would look like it.
Oh, that could be an interesting take. Instead of it actually neutralizing anomolies, or kidnapping O5 members it just changed records to make it look the O5's who opposed it were absent until it just started making up entire meetings.
What this tale could be is the slow breakdown of the AI's grasp on reality, with the last somewhat reliable accounts being from when the Council voted on investigating the AI.
It's "neutralization", and thr end of the tale, could be the AI's final thoughts as it is shutdown by the Foundation.
This take could allow the story to be integrated into any number of Foundation Canons.

My interpretation is that when the Foundation tried to make an AI, a being of pure logic and reason, predict and understand the Anomalous, which by their very nature defy logic and reason, it caused the AI to become an anomaly itself

On the ending note of the end card, if you want to hear a reading done of The Puppy Machine, Volgun recently did a video on that one! Its just as terrible (but still cleverly written) as it says at the end. It is indeed a machine that manifests and kills puppies based on user input.
The "Cats & Dogs" movie franchise went into some really weird directions.
It's also worth noting that the machine is a B-K9 unit, which also adds to why it has dog qualities since it is a canine (k9).
Imagine how happy the UNGOC would've been.
The two questions that still persist for me, even after this explanation:
1) why specify _ethical_ felines (and what defines “ethical” vs “non-ethical”) ??
2) why the fixation of “from oldest to youngest”??
