I have only watched part of this video. I love filet crochet !! I made a filet heart baby blanket a few months ago and fell in love. I am saving this tutorial and hopefully will be able to get some yarn in the next few days. I am dying to try this pattern.. Thank you for making this video. Love how well you explain the stitches. I am hoping to learn more about how to read patterns and charts by doing this. I stink at both....
She crochets like a “knitter”.. the way she uses both hands to wrap the yarn around her hook .. and I know it doesn’t matter but it’s so much more work when you throw throw yarn like that ...!!
@yarnspirations I am making this and stuck on row 10 as the written pattern says 6dc after doing the 1dc, space, 4x. But the graphic is showing 7dc. Also does not mention the 2dc after the second lot of 4 spaces. Can you please clarify this? I was following the graphic, but row 11 goes wrong after that. I chained 117 to create 5 stars in a row.
@yarnspirations Hi, Iove cylindrical/tubular yarns (small, using an 8mm hook/needle preferably) & discovered a bit late Bernat Maker Fashion Yarn, BUT I can't seem to find it anywhere in the full-colour range enough to make a jacket/poncho/scarf/hat/gloves etc clothing items. Has it been discontinued or just out of stock? from Sydney Australia
Can someone film this from the beginning? I’m a beginner that has only done beginner level but really want to make this blanket and this lady is very confusing in the beginning she just reads the intstructions which i did myself but im a visual learner so I’d appreciate if someone could please direct me to a video from the very beginning thank you
this is very confusing where you do the beginning and ending of the rows different than we are doing them and that's where I need help. You say do two stitches at the end of row 3 for instance and you actually do three and I have three left not two and this makes it wrong on the next row
The music in the beginning is very loud, then her voice is so quiet. I’m on a road trip with air pods in and the volume on my phone all the way up and can barely hear her speaking. Please keep sounds consistency in mind for other videos.
Blanket yarn is NOT the best yarn to demonstrate filet stitch. Especially for beginners to follow along. I would hope you could do this pattern again using a much lighter yarn. On the whole your group does an excellent job in showing different stitches and patterns. But on this one you dropped the ball.
I've noticed that a lot of their projects now are made with blanket yarn and I agree, it's hard to see in a video when blanket yarn is used. Mikey does this a lot
Really need to show the full repeat not just one star. I have the printed pattern here but a video to follow along would help a lot
TY! just a side note. beginners need to see this from the BEGINNING! Without that they mostly avoid new & likely easy patterns.

To me it looks like 23 + 2, it says chain 71 which is 3 x 23 =69 + 2 to make 71 hope this helps

I can’t seem to get row 8 right... no matter what I try. I’ve counted the previous row 5 times and it is correct and redone row 8 5 times...
