Please keep these videos coming. I’ve never been more invested in something I couldn’t have cared less about until TH-cam’s algorithm put this in front of me!
A cheap party tent might help to keep things dry. You could temporarily tie or hard mount the legs to the boat with some additional framing, or to something else that is heavy or anchored to the ground.
@@BoatzUK I know, I am from the Netherlands. We pretty much had the same bad weather as in the UK. A week ago it was 61F or 16C. I have the idea from Leo and the Tally Ho. They made a temporarily tent construction on top of the hull so that they could finish the work that needed to be done outside. But don't worry about the rain, because sadly enough plenty more rain is on its way.
@insAneTunA I know it’s forecast for tomorrow 🌧️ when I have time it rains and when I have to work it’s beautiful weather 🤣 can’t win, need a big storage unit to resolve all my weather problems and I then do more projects 🙏⛵️🤣
Just to let you know, I thoroughly enjoy the vids you make showing you bringing this little yacht back to life. Maybe it won't be 'as new', but 'fit to be sailed in' seems good enough to me!
I know exactly nothing about boating but have been waiting to watch the next instalment, I’ve got plenty of patience so looking forward to as and when you do next update. Would love to do a project like this myself though.
Good to see you back, had us worried for a minute! Similarly between naffing work, and the delightful Scottish weather ( we got our summer in May, it was a Wednesday) I’m beginning to forget what my wee boat looks like 😢 🛥️🏴
Can completely agree with our summer that one day of it so far, can’t wait to see the sun in the sky if it actually happens this year, hope you are well ⛵️🛥️🙏
I really enjoy you being here and thank you so much for your support, I will keep up the work and it’s great to have some support as this is what keeps me going 🙏⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️😊
@@BoatzUK i'm good, but unfortunately i missed a boat auction i was waiting for, and they happened to have a little Catalina 25 pop top that they started bidding at $400 and noone took it cuz they were all waiting for the Catalina 30 and a couple other boats. if i hadn't missed the auction i would have 100% taken that little sailboat. so overall i'm good, but very bummed i had to miss that auction
Hi Cliff at least you made some progress mate, the weather is an absolute joke, still waiting for the summer to start, we had rain and big hailstones last week so loud on the workshop roof I had to turn the radio 📻 up lol 😂 good luck with the priming and hope you and your family have a great weekend cheers 🍻
Thanks Paul, I have next week to make some progress so a bit more sanding to do and little more filling and fairing and should be good to go just need a dry day 🤣 have a great weekend ⛵️⛵️🙏🙏
Good to see you back on the £1 job 👍 Was beginning to think it had gone the way of many other TH-cam projects that never get completed. Looking forward to seeing it in primer 😊
if i wasn't broke i would buy you one of those little portable carports. the ones that have a metal frame and a canvas or tarp style skin that you can roll the sides up or down. that way you can work when you have time, even if it's pouring rain. but unfortunately i am soooo broke lol
Thank you for even thinking about doing that🙏 I was thinking of buying one months ago but thought it’s ok it’s almost summer 🤣🤣 then it didn’t stop raining 🤣 just you watching and supporting is good enough for me 🙏⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️
@@BoatzUK i'll trad your rain for this desert heat. we've had highs of about 38-40c or so for about 70% of the last 2 months, and it's not cooling off any time soon
Well 🤣 I did try and remove a lot of the deck fittings but some are completely covered to get to the bolts I will be revisiting them so see if I can get as much as possible removed, because I can 🤣🤣 or can not 🤣⛵️🙏🙏🙏🙏😊
Probably told you before, lucky bugga get a yacht for a cupla bucks, maybe not so lucky with the condition even with the dunny. But it started me lookin for one of my own. Haven't found one yet, still lookin but, no luck yet, In a northern state like Qld. if ya can find'm. Wondered what happened m8 but, I got no complaints this end. Even if you got a credit/debit card, you still got to put foldin stuff in ya pocket. Ya gotta eat, pay bills and keep a roof overya head! 11:21in Yeh already done that m8 😉 Thanks m8, keep up the good work, stay vertical Eh!
Thank you 🙏 work life always gets in the way of a fun little project 🤣 but got to keep on earning, great to have you here as always and I will see you on the next instalment 🙏⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️
Ooops, apologies, that sanding was us on Parrot there in the background 😂😂 at least it gave your viewers the idea what sanding footage they missed 🙈let us know when the weather improves, so we can be back to continue too 😂
🤣🤣 that’s good to hear the sander going in the background as it means there’s progress happening and that’s a good feeling, and I don’t miss the sanding 🤣 I will keep you posted on our weather ⛵️🙏
Argh, an English summer, not. When you prep the cabin top for new windows sand back to good fibreglass, fill the screw holes with epoxy get new tinted polycarbonate cut to your templates and use Sikaflex 295 and its compatible primer Sika 209D to glue and seal your new windows to the cabin top. Do not use any screws or fastenings, they will just cause leaks as the boat flexes when it's sailing. Make sure you follow the data sheets for these products. Used this system on our 40 footer and it's been on there for 10 years with not a drop inside.
Hey! If you fancy coming sailing some time give me a shout - it's Mel - we met a month back in Chorley. I'd love to come and see your project some time when I'm out and about x
Hey Mel, thank you for that offer, been mad busy with my other boat so not got much done over the last month but getting back on it soon. Keep in touch ⛵️⛵️

Yes poor maintenance, none working bilge pump, way to much weight on the transom and holes in the transom also to top it off the cockpit drains was blocked and bad weather and heavy rain the day it sank ⛵️🙏
Im surprised you managed to get any content out as its been raining constantly this WHOLE year....the farmers are gonna be out of business if it keeps on. I cant remember in my lifetime the lack of sunshine and the ENDLESS DAYS OF RAIN and we have had it for YEARS now.

I will 100% be keeping them coming, and I definitely appreciate you being here, the little yacht will live once more 🙏🙏⛵️
It's great to see an abandoned object being restored, what ever it is. No problem with delays. It can be a chore or it wont get finished.
Thank you Joe, work life balance has slowed progress lately but I am back on her to get some work done and move forward with this little Yacht ⛵️🙏🙏
