SPRAY PAINT ART IN-DEPTH TUTORIAL - HOW to Make Different Planets

- Hi guys! In this Spray Paint Art in-depth Tutorial, I'll talk and show you how to make two different ways of painting Planets , one with a lid stencil and plastic bag and the other using a overlay and magazine paper.

Things i used to make this spray painting art
- A mask is the most important thing.
- Glossy paper/card
- Spray paint, (A range of different colours and Black and White)
- CLEAR COAT (to re-wet the paint) and to seal the painting (see
near the end of the video)
- Something to sign your work with (palette knife)
- Gloves
- Plastic bag (for the texture on the one planet)
- Magazine paper (for the texture on the other planet)
- A lid (to make one of the planets)
- A piece of card with a hole in the middle (for other planet)
- Some spare card (To stop the over spray)
- Some weights (Nuts/Bolts/stones etc ( to hold the overlay
down)

You are the one who actually got me into spray paint art. I watched many of your tutorials last Thanksgiving weekend. By the time the weekend was over, I had done 3 paintings and everyone who saw them were completely in awe of how detailed I was able to make my paintings. I’d love to see how you made the Spider-Man stencils 🙂
Hi, the stencils for the spider-man one took me a long time to cut and draw , i did one each night so it took almost 2 weeks to get it all ready to spray. If i made it in to a video i think it would be a very long video to watch and make and not sure if people would want to watch a hour long video on making a layered stencil :( , but i am going to be doing a couple of stencil videos soon :) hope this helps.

is the clear coat at the end just a clear coat or is it lacquer?

Should it be glossy or matte spray paint? Also when you say glossy paper, would canvas work?
Hi Billy, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment and the question I really appreciate it :) It doesn't really matter what type of paint it is, i use gloss and semi gloss paint and they both work well :) Yes you can use a canvas to paint on as well, hope this helps :)
