This one is on my list to do, just for the novelty of running around the racecourse! Good to see you took the right path through that big puddle near the start too! I always think its easier just to go straight through them. Its only a bit of water!
Well it comes highly recommended. They smashed the attendance record that day too so I knew it was the puddles or I'd run out of memory on the camera haha I don't mind the water, it's wind that makes me reconsider my life choices
Cheers Craig. How's the injury? Hope you're feeling better. Great video. Looked a bit soggy underfoot. Congestion not helped by the multitude of puddles cutting off half the path. Think In hindsight you should've maybe started a bit further forward as you seemed to be fighting a battle to pass people. I actually ran a marathon in surrounding area around Knavesmire on Friday, less than 24 hours before the parkrun. This was a multi-lap, off road route. The mud was ridiculously bad. It was awful. 😆🙈 Thanks again and well done on a good, solid run. Ps. Mandy's leggings looking good. Think she's grabbed herself an Easter bargain.
Cheers Colin. Leg is getting there, think the weight coming off is definitely helping lol. Yes a very soggy one, but 10yr old me loved splashing my way through the puddles. I had no idea how far forward/back we were before setting off, fighting my way through was half the fun haha Mandy will be pleased to hear you appreciated the leggings, every week it's a new set lol I imagine an off road marathon would have been very hard considering the constant rain we've had of late, hope the wind wasn't bad for you too, it's been pretty wild this weekend.
Me 'n the missus are visiting our daughters in York tomorrow and plan doing this parkrun. Was looking for a good POV video as we've never done it and this is awesome! Loving the map / speed / elevation / BPM info - is this inbuilt into whatever camera you use?
Oh great looks like you've picked a cracking weekend for it. Cheers, the stats are from my watch and I bring them I'm as an overlay afterwards. I've not long since updated the software so it looks a bit different on the newer ones but the workflow is pretty much the same. Glad it was of help to you and I hope you both have a very enjoyable run 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️
Yeah a really great parkrun. Definitely looking forward to taking my faster legs over later on in the year when there aren't so many runners there and I've a bit more fitness 💪🏃
Another excellent video and really well ran Craig 👏
Thanks Dean, really glad you enjoyed it and are part of the running whale fam 😊
Well done Craig and Mandy. Looks like a fab parkrun. Might try it one day. X
Thanks Linda. Yes this comes highly recommended. Worth getting up a bit earlier for x

Looks like a lovely parkrun, although the start does seem a little congested with 900 runners!
