Thank you Colin, it was a hilarious morning all round, by the time we got to the final intro recording, I think I lost the plot 🤪. ‘‘Twas an enjoyable Parkrun too, narrow paths for starting a way back but wasn’t an issue for long. Hoping to do something ever so slightly different for Christmas Day to make it more like you’re there with us. In the meantime have a very merry Christmas pal 🎄🎅🏃💨

Haha thanks, any more takes and we would have had to do an overnight stay 😂😂 I like to think I know what I’m doing when in reality, I’m the king of camera screwups. Yeah it was a good one, felt like we climbed more than we did, but I think that’s because the windy open bits were where the climb (if you can call it that) sections were. You did bang on yesterday matey on your Parkrun 💪

lol cheers. Yeah still wheezing a bit but I think that’s down to lazyarsearitus now. Been really difficult getting back into the swing of things with plenty of life drama thrown in making for about 90% of my excuses. Of course a nice break from work over Christmas is the perfect kickstart. ‘‘Twas a great course and really pleased you’re back to full health 👌💪

No reason for you not to, I’m excited for you. 45 minutes is a great achievement. My series about training for 10k with the aim to pb in the 5k half marathon and marathon in 2025 is my focus but with being injured and ill, it’s slowed that down but back at it Boxing Day to essentially get under 3.50 for the marathon, under 1.36 for the half and under 21 for the 5k. Should be a good year 💪 Keep us posted on the progress and where you might be doing your races 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💨💨

@TheRunningWhale Those are amazing times. I'll use your progress to spur me on ☺ I've not done much racing but my favourite so far has been the BTR Wirral 10K in New Brighton. Flat and fast, with great views over the Mersey (for those not hammering it!).

Ah mate that’s brilliant and cutting down sounds like a good idea. Focusing on a race will help with that, but baby steps of course, cravings are a bugger as I well know, beat them and you’ll go far mate. Keep us posted please I’d love to know how you get on.

@@MrCol104 thanks Colin. Yes the day looked perfect but it was soo cold so run walk seemed like the best option. I wouldn’t think of Huddersfield as a pb course, especially with Armley so close lol. Mandy’s being under 40 is becoming a regular thing so I reckon early next year we’ll be looking more at 35 🤩

Yeah it’s a cracking Parkrun. Well done on the half, running on the canal can get a bit tedious but at least it’s consistently flat lol. I much prefer the tarmac, the gravel sections just don’t give my feet the bounce they need lol

Had a look and nothing stood out as set up wrong, but when I looked at the Strava maps, when it put Andy and Mandy’s together, it looked very wobbly so I reckon they were both busy taking photos and sight seeing 😂😂

Cheers pal, no drama I wouldn’t mind doing a follow up and just go through the virb so will definitely do that. The overlay software is around £117 depending on the euro to sterling rate when you buy it. If it’s something you do frequently, the time it saves you makes it worth every penny (in my opinion) 👍
