I am a vegan, but I was still overweight. I put myself on a calorie deficit diet because I injured my back. I am almost to my goal weight where I will have to maintain. I always have to be conscious of what I eat. I find I can overeat anything. I admire that you can eat this way, but I will always have to have limits even though I eat plant based with no oil. I was still overweight. That being said, I did eat nuts and seeds. I make all my food. I must be a great cook. Lol.
Ngl I originally clicked on this focused on wanting to be skinnier and look like you and lose weight. Im pleasantly surprised you changed it to as a healthy person and not to focus on just losing weight and having a similar body type. This is so much more realistic and helpful than any of the others Ive watched.

I was just diagnosed with type two diabetes and my doctor told me that I couldn’t eat rice, potatoes, pasta or bread. Having a lot of trouble figuring out what to eat. Veggies are not very filling…for me😢
For my first meal today I had a chili-ish type of meal with LS black beans, pinto beans, carrots, can of crushed tomatoes, peppers and onions and a packet of Mrs Dash taco seasoning 😂 I had that in a bowl with some instantpot steamed rice. No greens yet. I've got to get those in soon.

Last thing I ate was a BBQ chickpea salad with homemade dressing. I just drain a can of chickpeas and put my SOS free BBQ sauce on them and shove them in the airfryer, it's super tasty and filling.
My last meal, was corn, and a nice salad, with all my favorite ingredients, spinach, tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, artichoke hearts, and roasted red peppers, no dressing.

I could eat them all day. ❤ I love ❤Mexican food, sushi and chillis too. I am eating a lot more plant based foods and loving it. I’m not vegan, but I do love vegan food. A steamed bag of frozen mixed stir fry veggies (no oil) + rice + tofu with kimchi, hoisin sauce and chili garlic. For breakfast! Love your recommendation for green veggies in the morning. It does make a huge difference. I crave them now when my body's first hunger signal for the day comes up. Now snacking on some watermelon. Love your food choice recommendations.
Hi! I am not in a situation where I can go to the grocery store several times a week. I go once on the weekend and that's it. I find that my vegetables, especially the green vegetables go bad pretty quickly in my fridge and end up having to throw them away. Any advice on this please? Oh and I can't stand the frozen veggies.
Soups and stews. I also use them in smoothies. Sometimes, I use canned veggies but in the same way, I have to hide them in foods like rice, pasta and Soups and stew. Just boiling frozen greens and blending them up make them really easy to hide in pasta sauce. That's a trick I used for years to get more veggies in to my son's diet. 😊
