Jay White has done A LOT in this day of age for getting New Zealand Wrestling noticed on an international platform. Belt or not, Jay is gaining more respect from the fans here in New Zealand and will continue to gain respect. The way he is progressing, we might find him on another top international promotion being a top wrestler like he is in NJPW. There I Said it !!!!!! Keep it Jay, you’re being noticed here in your home country 😊

One of the best heels in the business
It's hard to say he's not ready, he just didn't connect with the japanese crowds yet because his style is much different from the one they're used to, he mix what he learned in NJPW and ROH with a very old school heelish mentality, which is th exact opposite of today's idea of stealing the show. As the bad guy, in the match and outside of it, his idea is getting heat, not being appreciated for being a good pro-wrestler. It connects great with an american audience that absolutely despises him, but not as much with the japanese crowds, thus getting more of a "meh" reaction that actual hatred. It's tough to make such a respectful audience actually hate you.
I'm not so sure. Some of those crowds really dislike him. Not WCW throwing garbage, but no one gets that heat these days.
They cheered Minoru Suzuki over him and he gets one of the loudest boos you'd hear in New Japan shows. Not even Suzuki Gun gets that kind of jeering anymore

If wanted to make Jay's reign work I would have LOVED Jay v. SANADA. sure SANADA wouldnt have won (I want him champion, he's one of my favorites and is without a doubt ready) I wanted Jay to have a longer reign. Make BCOGs look great.
