Bro Hanzo and Genji has been dealt dirty for nearly the entire lifespan of Overwatch 2. Every time they're good they get nerfed or their counters get hard buffed.

Who would have guesses heroes that require mechanical skill to excel would be hard nerfed over heroes that gives free value at no mechanical skill x)

Great tier list overall, only thing I disagree with is Ashe. The revert to the 20% has caused her dynamite to be seriously oppressive at points and can consistently battle an enemy mauga from range where he’s weakest
True, I played her yesterday and I was amazed by the havoc I was creating with the dynamite...
This is for diamond and above lower rank is very different
And doesnt her dynamite allow for Mauga to land crits on the opponent thats burning? People really miss how out on synergy in comps by looking directly at faults. Ashe should be in A tier.

This is so much more efficient. When I watch Flats make a tier list he sits there yapping away for a full HOUR. I could almost finish the original Lion King movie in the time it takes him to make one tier list.

That's why I prefer to watch Samito over other paid Overwatch content creators, LOL.
I think Mauga is a trap hero. He isn't as good as people think. Sigma hard counters him and overall is a more well rounded tank than he is.
From my experience he doesn’t even really counter hog. Hog soaks all the damage and helps his team melt mauga.
The fact that ball could very well still be upper B (upper mid) and likely barely A (Good tier) even after the rework really tells us how fucking bad 5v5 is. Ball was one of those tanks in 6v6 where if this tank was good the meta was most likely in a healthy place...and now like winston and rein he's rarely really seen in the meta of ow2.
OW1 meta was never healthy if Ball was meta. No tank really synergized with him other than maybe Hog but then you had two off tanks leaving the team behind. The healthiest metas were literally rush and dive, i.e. Rein/Zarya and Winston/Dva. Rein and Winston are the best main tanks and the game is best across the board when they are meta. Always has been.
@@wookieninja8794 you...are...aware rein, Winston, and sigma were all used with ball to great success. Pretty sure the last meta was ball and sigma. You might be right with the game not being healthy if ball was meta defining but ball definitely synergized with some of the tanks.
Rein ball comp was called deathball and winston ball was a more aggressive divey alternative to winston dva whereas dva was used more to allow for peeling, ball winston was you go in and FUCK the entire enemy backline..
And both the comps ball were really good in were also very healthy for the game.

I miss when you could play practically any hero and if you were skilled with said hero, you would do fine. Now you gotta play "meta" kinda deal. I haven't played OW in like weeks. Its just barely fulfilling. Great tier list IMO. Thanks GOAT

Widows only broken if you leave her to shoot fish in a barrel, if you actually counter her, shes dog shit unless your Melio, Kephrii, Kenzo.. etc.

maybe at the highest tiers of play Mei is bad because she doesnt have the burst you guys needs but low masters and diamond and below, she's still really strong because a headshot on tracer will still force her out of the fight for a sec, and Mei's power is in her wall and her ability to section off the enemy team while keeping high pressure on the frontline and being basically unkillable. She's also not bad in the ult fight, Blizzard is still a massive ult as long as you outplay the suzu or lifeweaver abilities. She doesnt do damage to Mauga but she doesn't have to, you trap him in with your team and cut off his support and now Mauga looks silly. I think you got her way too low on this list
I found a lot of lower rank maugas feed alot and depend on heals. Mei is great at separating the tank from the rest of the team with the wall no one shoots through.
@@lucianwebbiv6946 people underestimate how much enemy stupidity can change a characters strength. Like if the enemy lifeweaver was smart enough to save petal for the wall to go up and over it, mei loses all value-- but that doesn't happen so you get to farm from free lol
But making points to a tier list based off bad players making bad plays with certain heroes doesn’t really make sense when a tier list is about how the characters compare to each other when played correctly lol.
Like Genji is bad. But low ranked players can barely shoot him or kill him if he manages deflect cooldown well which makes him actually solid in those ranks but that doesn’t change the fact that Genji is himself a weak hero. Mei being better vs worse players is true for all characters
@@sGzBugz you might have a point if low masters high diamond wasn't where most the old gm players ended up after the rank shift when they released champ. She works basically right up until the literal top level of play, and I'm sure a little coordination would still clean a tracer up if you headshot her with Mei. It's not like you headshot her and she's zipping around with a full healthbar. You still force her to run. She still has an entire kit outside of one shotting tracer which still makes everyone miserable

Is mauga not giga nerfed with the reduction in critical damage? His main targets he's sustaining off of has that 30% damage reduction, so is he not healing off of 50% of the 70% critical damage he's doing to tanks?

Sombra being more prone to punishment is debatable tbh. The perma invis is one of the most miserable things I've ever had to deal with. She takes ALL of the meaning of "fun" out of this game. It doesn't matter what role you are, if she decides she's going to target you all game, well, then you can't play the game. It's not hard to land virus (bs ability btw) whatsoever so she instantly fries you. Honestly if she didn't go invis so soon after throwing tp then I couldn't care less.
Yes, you can deal with her given there's good team communication, however, 9/10 times there's a Sombra harassing me (support main) or my other support, there's almost no help whatsoever. That being said, I can almost deal with her if I'm Moira or Brig, but then when I'm fighting for my life on the back I have my tank/dps spamming "support diff" in chat. She creates toxicity just by existing.
Sombra TP removes a ton of risk so she’s really braindead

Mauga OTP here. I think he's FANTASTIC, but he's going to get mega held back by DPS Passive. Getting 20% less heals over time, THAT ADDS UP when you try to use Cardiac, or if you don't have it and are getting hard pocketed by supports. I think any Tank with a Shield or Barrier is gunna do really well this season, to get the Health passive. I've actually been loosing fights as Mauga to Rein since unless your DPS are helping you, you can't burst down Rein shield in one Magazine which leaves you helpless when you run out of ammo.
Mauga will be Meta, but your counters you REALLY feel now, and you're going to need more teamwork with your team to cover your weakspots.
Y he put ana so low too? She hard counters mauga. Combo'd with DPS passive my torb melts mauga from range with ana nade + dart.

pharahs projectiles are way too large for how fast they are, i swear they are competing with orisa spear for the least accurate hitbox compared to the visible projectile.

Im not a Pharah player but after the rework i think she is pretty fun. Camping the skybox with a Mercy seems very cringe so the current state i find fun.

The patches alter the tier lists greatly. And everyones tiers are usually only off by 1 level max

I hate having DVa now. She's just so short ranged on her dives and dm isn't something easy to play around like bubble or ball slam or doom punch, jus feels so passive and non engaging in comparison
Ive learned that most supps and or dps dont know how to play with a Doom actually. They need to be coddled with a tank infront of them at all times. If ur not capable of staying alive for a bit without ur tank infront if you😂

Mauga doesn’t seem that broken this patch, honestly hog seems leagues better. Having a 50% damage reduction on a 2 second cooldown the entire game is too underrated, plus being able to safe self heal for when you really need it. Hog beats mauga currently.

Tbh i think nobody actually knows who the best characters to use this season and especially the tank rework coming,, at this point in time its kinda mixed,
I had a game of open q comp where the clear shitter of the lobby swapped to tracer, didn’t even play all that well and I’m not even being mean, but my teammates couldn’t kill her. It was 2 tanks 1 dps vs 3 dps 2 supports.
Tracer has always been a high skill cap character.. shes very beatable, especially in open q lol, yall just didnt swap correctly or yall just bad.. or the tracer was actually good. her and genji should always be at the top of the tier list.. thats how it should go.. the higher the skill cap the higher the tier, I play alot of tracer always have, and quite a bit of soujourn, there are alot of hanzos in the metal ranks right now that can stop her with a nicely timed shot.. ashe wrecks her if your any good, sig does very well against her, there are so many counters.. jsut gotta learn to play a multitute of characters... thats why i play random hero alot.. for one its probably one of the funnest game types.. thats why it went from part time arcade.. too full time arcade, to main list in quick play, with a massive part of the quick play player base playing it.. but it teaches you how to at least learn the bassics of most characters.. oh yea junk is good against her. sombra can work her over if you hit your shots. widow can own her...
my favorite thing to do as a dva main is squishing tracers with my re-mechs
Enough with Lifeweaver slander and it's not even just my bias. All he needs is damage buffs yet everyone will always only see him as a healbot when he has so much potential when played efficiently.
Suzu shouldn't heal, ofuda speed didn't need the buff, Swift step would still be useful with a short cast time for players who know what cover is.

Gonna be real he is pretty strong solo que always has been. He just gets trash the higher you climb. Once you understand how to time flanks and playstyles of the other team you can farm up to very high masters. He is a timing based hero right place right time. That is what makes him hard to play and to otp. You do not get value ada at choke playing slow. You get value on game sense and hard reads. Knowing when and where a team fight happens. Who to pick off who to spawn camp. Should I peal for my Ana Zen? I say he is he a Mid tier because once you understand the game he is a pretty good hero to 1 trick. Blossom is dog though lmao go for a solo ult on every Mercy you find (;

@@theburningcoder5859 I know and I wish 6v6 was brought back because, a 3v3 on one side of the map and a 3v3 on the other, is better than 2 pocketed dps and a tank losing their mind.... i still think its fair and important even for roadhog widow and hanzo, it just doesnt need to be so readily available (especially widow) in a 5v5 environments where squishy kills matter more.

This should be called the "IF Mauga is Good" tier list, and mauga isnt fun.. so in the metal ranks this list is totally differnt because people play who they want at tank.. and if only 2 people on your team have brain cells your gonna loose.. zero comms, everyone thinks they are the shit.. the meta doesnt matter so this tier list, well doesnt apply to most metal rank games.. every game i play with a terrible Kirko/ mercy combo.. and or a Kirko/ana combo.. and a ball.. its just all over the place.. come play with us plebs and see what its really like or watch a few more vods instead of the 5v5 crusade your on.

This guy just refuses to put Brig below A tier In any list he makes 😂. She is not better than Zen, Moira, Ana, Illari or agruably even Weaver after the Tree buffs. Dps passive being at 20% again guts Brigs pack healing, inspire healing, self healing everything. And rally is like the slowest building supp ult In the game even after the recent buffs she got.
Tracer also used to be weak against Brig In ow1 but In season 10 Ow2 she just one clips ur shield, perma applies - 20% self heal and pulse bombs you to death over and over.
Brig is like only good against Ball and Dva but no one plays them. Even Winston nowadays shreds through Brigs health with his buffed m1 damage and on top of it he ignores armor with it too 💀

@@2be6081 About Brigs placement for sure. And he knows it too but he's been calling her broken for so long that he will never look at her power level objectively again and put her lower on the list, despite Brig being one of the worst supports in the game for several seasons in a row now.
She's also the only support who is basically unplayable into rein too while Rein is D tier lol

She's just another healbot just like Mercy and Weaver who suffers a crap ton from the New Dps passive. Also funnily enough Brig is the squishiest of the three 😂 if ever more than 1 person dives you at the same time you just instantly explode. Mercy and Weaver both have WAY better tools to survive
@@danieljuntunen2320 don’t even know why they took away her stun when sombra can cancel ultimates easily with little to no risk with an ability. At least with brig you need to be on ground, close range, and if she uses it aggressively in a team fight she has a high change of losing. Now the best use of it is running away

I played 1 game of Nerfed Orisa on 20% dps passive 5-6-25 FOR THE PROGRESSION, THERE WAS NO SWAPPING
The enemy was Doomfist. I could still EASILY walk in open space, kill squishies AND deny Doom’s value. Orisa is STILL nasty and balance WILL NOT fix her

I gotta agree with Samito, her rocket speed feels so cheesy to go against even using hitscan. Her main identity was vertical mobility and to stay in the air, now they just gave her a way better Hanzo/LW leap.
She is a prime example of 5v5 balance philosophy; barely fun to play, and not fun at all to play against.
She literally lost her identity and was turned into a let's nuke the enemy from the ground character but okay.
