    The moment I started reading this lovely book I can't stop reading it. It made me cry in the part when laxmi is coming back to his ancestral village interacting with locals and feeling like she lost a lot. I sent this PDF to atlest 50-60 friends of mine. These days so called celebrity novelist are writing completely bullshit. People haven't read these types of regional novels which encompasses the scenario of this whole country.

    Superb, he is really great, besides some selfdeclared writers suppressing our history and trying to defame Hinduism just to earn money/awards/position, am really happy to see we have few generous writers like SLB

    At 20:30, SL Bhyrappa explains why "AvaraNa" lacks "kAvyamayataa" that is so clearly present in "saartha" (which is why I love the latter far more).

    Yes, of course aavarana has an ideologicalits scope basis Why should it have? No work of art, be it a poem a novel, be it a play or even a piece of sculpture, all these are ideologically modelled. To see any work of art art based on an ideology is to limit it to limit its scope for social awareness. Take for eg. Mhabharata, one of the two major and great epics of India. What piece of literature can be more inclusive than this? Mahabharata and Raaamaayana are the the most inclusive of the works of literature than anything that happened after them. A time has come now for us, indians, to get away from the anglo-saxon -European viewpoint of separating art from an engaged view of life.

    A beautiful interview. As a Kannadiga I can appreciate the talk but feel for those who don't understand Kannada. Sub-titles will be greatly appreciated. The subject of discussion is relevant to the present day. Uninhibited thinking and reasoning should be shared across a wide spectra. Please add sub titles.

    Bhyrappa is a very talented man, there is no doubt about it. At the same time he is a very good debater. Maybe Avarana is based on facts but manipulated according to author Wims. There should be purpose in writing, here he is trying to please RSS. Shotri was not a Brahmin still a good human. He himself says his Police uncle was a robber in the night. So good human being can be from any caste. Hindu religion is the most rascist because of caste system. If people were converted into Islam at Moghuls time, why they did not convert back to Hindu when Moghuls extincted. "Hindu Samaja eega satya kandu kolta ide" is it really true? Why don't you fight to abolish caste system to strengthen Hindu religion? Our Hindu religion is non democratic. Much inferior to Christian and Islam on several counts. Every Religion has its own plus and minus. Lets be honest and talk about everything. Why dont we look into our own faults before pouncing on others Mr.Bhyrappa?I have lot of Respect for Bhyrappa for his writing abilities, but alas his intentions are very much questionable.

      May be you have not heard of Brahma samaj and Arya Samaj and the efforts to convert back to Hinduism. If not for Aryasamaj the no of hindus in Punjab would have been about a 10th of the current. It was a shame that a fanatic muslim killed the swami and no one (including Gandhi) came to the defense of AS. Caste System was a british introduction to split Hindus further. we had jaati & varnas not castes. get your Brahmin hatred glasses off and try to be a neutral, unless you happen to be a convert with a fake hindu name doing more damage by spreading caste hatred.

    Water film was based on our old ugly culture which was our truth. It was also based on facts and in fact it is found even now in certain parts of India. This was banned by Hindu right activists. Being a Hindu I don't see any difference between Fundamentalism of Islam or Hindu. Bhyrappa is a intelligent man to understand it but not honest to accept our faults. It feels sad when we see such talented person not being honest and just defend Hindu Religion just like that! He tries to underplay his critics by branding them as certain small section of people, but there are lot of honest hindus who are against his approach of speaking truth. Let him speak about truth on all religion, then our Religionstands at the top of the list. Why did Hindu religion did not go beyond India? How can Islam and Christianity be more popular?

    • @MrBheemaraodesai
      @MrBheemaraodesai 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +ShankarRavi11 Please try to understand the historicity of hinduism. Hinduism is more extensively spread that any other philosophy in the world! But because hindus by nature were never aggressive. Hindu thinking had had spread all over the eastern part of the world. Please, please study the history of Hinduism once again and you will see it for yorself the truth.

    • @ShankarRavi11
      @ShankarRavi11 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +BT Desai well its not really about that! Hinduism is a Religion which practices utmost descrimination because of its caste system!Infact Buddhism was stronger than Buddhism at one point of time in India. Systamatically Brahmanism (Hinduism) fought Buddhism and drove out of India!Ashoka was a Buddhist.There was never an effort to bring Hindus together (unitedly we are strong you know)Brahmins always wanted to have upperhand (thats why Hinduism is termed as Brahmnism by westerns) and rest of the people never trust the Religion fully.Hardly anybody loves the Religion to sacrifice anything, except perhaps Brahmins.

      ShankarRavi11 That's pretty convinient on the Intellect to opine that all religions are the same or All forms of religious fundamentalism are no different. It is disingenuous, the fact that you'd like to sound progressive & just. By stating that Islamic fundamentalism is the same as Hindu fanatisicim is not only Intellectually naive but more precisely patently Stupid. Islam is a political ideology along with theological supremacist narrative. To draw parallels between Hindu fundamentalism & Islamic fundamentalism is clearly misguiding & downplaying the true nature of Fundamentalist or radical Islam.
