thats not an e-stop, its a ride stop, basically the ride didnt let you off normally so that you guys would remain safe, my guess is something wasnt aligned correctly when your cabin got to the exit portal, so the ride "brokedown" in an effort to relearn where each cabin is and try again, thats just a guess
Fun fact: when one of the ride vehicles break down, they stop the ride altogether in a similar vein and play this while assisting the broken down riders.
