So glad I never watched any videos on this ride until after I finally went back to Disney world last week for the first time since galaxy’s edge opened up. Being on the transport shuttle with the hand railings I was like “is this it… is this the ride? And then the door opened up unveiling the large star destroyer Docking Bay and my jaw just dropped and I couldn’t keep the shit eating grin off my face. There wasn’t a moment on this ride that didn’t absolutely blow my mind, and then that miniature tower of terror escape style pod drop at the end was the cherry on top. Easily my new favorite ride in all of Disney World!
Oh and the first time we went on it, the Kylo ren animatronic was down so they used the backup scene, which I was unaware at the time WAS a backup, so when we went back later in the week when it was fixed my mind got blown again 😂
Watching this and actually 'experiencing' the ride are totally different things, especially when you're in the escape pod and it suddenly drops. I want to go again.
I just recently got to go on this ride and it blew me away. To call it a ‘ride’ is almost an insult because it felt more like an experience. The level of detail and effects made you really FEEL like you were in space on an adventure. Disney haters are going to hate, but I can guarantee those haters have never been on this amazing ride. 10 out of 10!
Yeah not everyone gets go on vacation to Disney world and going all these fancy rides! Good for you that you got to go you spoiled brat but no one else cares
The fact that the only way you can do this ride by two virtual queues a day (that fill up in about 10 seconds), and the fact that you can only ride it once, should tell you just how special and one of a kind it is.
I don't think they have the virtual queues anymore. Was there today, and everyone booked it to Rise of the Resistance when the parked opened. My wife and I stood in line for about 90-100 minutes before getting on the ride. Then got back in line around 4:30 to go again. Hands down the best ride of all Disney World.
I went on it last year for the first time. Waited in the standby line for 3 1/2 hours but it was worth the wait. It is THE best immersive attraction that WDW has ever produced
Incredible work!! That ride it’s not even a ride it’s an experience that takes you far way. You definitely feel it. The details and performance was worth every second of it
I went on this ride on 10/29 and I can truly say without a shadow of a doubt, being on this ride is worth every penny I spent that day, including the admission. After being unprepared the night before and finding out at the last minute what virtual queue was, I set my alarm at 6:50 and waited till 7am to board. My heart was racing when I finally got through with my party. After the ride, I laughed, cheered, and almost cried because the last time I felt this way was when I was just a kid and I just got off Star Tours! I hope all of you get the chance to get on this ride because it's life changing. And when your done, go straight to Smuggler's Run for double the WOW!
I remember one of the staff had role played a scene with my dad on the imperial ship and he was so happy about it. I will never forget this experience.
It's amazing how well the actors on this ride do their jobs. I tried to throw one off by pretending to be a double agent. I walked up to one of the officers looking a bit frustrated and frantic, and began with, in a slightly hushed tone, "What are you doing!? I'm one of your own! I almost had the location of their base, and visual scans of it! They were taking me there!" The actor looked at me for a second, looking slightly amused before saying "The First Order always takes the most direct and simple approach, and in some cases, sacrifices must be made." Before ushering me along as the riders were all called into the next room. I was legitimately hoping I could throw something at them which they'd have to improvise an excuse for, but NOPE. And I was impressed!
I swear when those doors opened to the hanger with the storm troopers I couldn’t breathe. I was instantly the same 14 year old kid that saw A New Hope 17 times in the theater in 77. Disney blew my mind with ROTR, and the whole Black Spier outpost. Trust me, THIS is a pilgrimage any Star Wars fanatic must make.
I can never compliment this ride enough. 😄 It’s just so well done, and when you’re on it, it’s almost like you forget it’s just a ride. Everything is so immersive and detailed that it almost feels like you’re really caught in the middle of a battle! It’s just an amazing ride, and I can’t wait until the day I get to go on it again! 😄
@@ElfainDeLeon Right? 😃 It was the same situation when I went. First, there were technical difficulties, so they told us to come back in two hours. Two hours later, the problem hasn’t been fixed yet, so they say to try again in another two hours. To be fair, though, it’s a pretty advanced ride, so it’s understandable that it takes a while to fix when something goes wrong. Still, definitely worth the wait, though. :)
Went there 12 hours ago, ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. 22:00 when we dropped down was the death point. I knew it would be coming since I looked at the hologram plans and there was a video of a transport falling down. Atleast it was worth the 2 hour wait.
I got lucky. The ride broke down earlier during the day. It opened up, and I only had to wait an hour and half for it. Words can’t describe it. I was also visiting during Disney World’s 50th anniversary. I went in 2022. I’m hoping to go back in a few years. I love it.
Rode this yesterday 1/18 and wow!!!! Blown away by the details and size of the inside. @11:43 when you walk out into that deck with all the stormtroopers standing there… it’s massive!!!
OMG! I have never wanted to go on an attraction at Disneyworld more than this one! HOLY FREAKING CRAP! Any wonder there is a 2hr+ wait to get on this thing. AMAZING! I always said nobody does it like Disney & this proves it. I'm in awe! I hope someday to get there & experience this for myself. Thanks for uploading
Me and my husband went on this ride last year. It was a favorite for sure. I loved when the actors started talking crap to us when we got captured. We thought it was hilarious! 😂
This ride is the best one at Disneyland and is a must ride even if you don’t like Star Wars. The amount of detail put in this attraction is mind blowing as it is even fun waiting in line as you pretty much are entertained the whole way. Nothing but peak
This ride I waited 90 minutes for, and it was very commendable, almost like you are a part of Star Wars! But, it scared me quite a bit due to how realistic it was and I did it right after lunch on a full stomach lol.
Just got back from my first trip at DisneyWorld last Thursday, this ride was easily my favorite, even over the Guardians of the Galaxy rewind. To go into the room with AT-AT's was mind-blowing, this video doesn't do it justice. You really have to see how big those things are in person.
This is one of the rides I want to be on, if I ever come to Galaxy’s Edge for the first time! Love from Charlotte, NC. Stay safe. May the Force be with you! ;)
Thanks for posting this! We just rode it for the first time yesterday. We were able to get 1pm boarding passes. Excellent ride! Disappointed to have to stand in like for almost an hour after we got there with our boarding passes though.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Yea I understand for sure. I always wait at least an hour when I ride it. Sometimes 2 hours or more depending on if the ride breaks down while I’m in line
Still can't get over how immersive this attraction is. Heard boarding groups have been available well into the afternoon lately. How was the wait? Tfs another great video 4K.
Yep the boarding groups have been easier to get lately, at least during the 1pm time. For me, the wait was about 25 minutes so it wasn’t bad at all! Thanks for watching as always Andrew! 😃
Just rode this ride for the first time days ago when I was at Disney and it was the first time I experienced the Star Wars part of the park. Gotta say Rise of the Resistance was one of my favorite rides because it told a good story and it pretty fun being part of the story
I went to Disneyland today, and although I dislike the Sequel Trilogy, this ride was an absolutely stunning visual spectacle and immersive experience. Kudos to Disney Imagineers and ILM.
Rode it yesterday....definitely was a good experience, except for how long it took to get to ride...took close to 3hrs to get to the front, mostly due to technical issues with the ride...word is they have technical failures weekly with the ride, which is understandable once you see the amount of special effects used in putting the experience together....

Me and my family were on this ride not long ago. Getting in (at the time) wasn’t easy, but it was well worth it. I thought the presentation was really cool; more specifically, when you get to the dark station.
My one memory of going on this amazing ride was just being quite literally the only person in a car, so I was just experiencing everything all by my lonesome.
I think the funniest thing would be is if you know the cast members if you actually told them then something completely different would happen. Imagine just be so funny. And you know people would do it. 😂
When my time comes to experience this UNFORGETTABLE “attraction experience” “for the first time in forever” in-person (lol, Frozen reference), I’ll be prepared and ready to “sabotage” the First Order and “put on a show!” After all, acting/voice acting is one of my favorite hobbies!😄 Oh yes, and a little secret: I’m going to disguise myself as a member of First Order before the First Order cast members open the vessel’s door. I’d be curious to see what reactions they would have, lol.😂 I bought my own First Order hat for that.😁 And of course, Rise of the Resistance is an experience that may actually get me in happy tears after my first ever experience in-person.😊 An unforgettable experience, “SW ROTR” will be. Thanks so much for finally doing one of my requests! Hopefully you’ll get the “Frozen Sing-Along” show in the future (such a hilarious show)! Don’t worry, I’ll be patient.😁❤️ May the Force be with this channel.👍💚
That sounds like a really cool idea Kev! I can’t wait to hear what the experience is like for you when you get to come do it! Thanks for watching as always and I hope to film the Frozen show some time within the next couple of weeks!
Hi! So it is a real drop. I’m not much of a “drop” or “thrill ride” person and i was still able to enjoy the drop. Having the augmented screen helps, but it’s also a small drop that lasts around 2 seconds total and has a good slowdown time that makes the bottom of the drop very smooth. If you’ve been on the smuggler’s run ride and experienced the feeling of dropping downward on that, it’s kind of similar while feeling more like an actual drop. I did not get any airtime on it, but the realism behind it did make me verbally proclaim “woah!” It’s less of a “thrill” drop and more of a “you’re in space” now drop, and the slowdown really helps.
I’ve only rode this ride once it was because it shutdown and reopened quickly and I jumped on it and only waiting like 10 mins for it . The ride itself was longer then the wait time I was lucky . People spend money to save their spot for this ride and still have to wait 150+ minutes in line

Thanks so much for finally doing one of my requests! Hopefully you’ll get the “Frozen Sing-Along” show in the future (such a hilarious show)! Don’t worry, I’ll be patient.😁❤️
May the Force be with this channel.👍💚
That sounds like a really cool idea Kev! I can’t wait to hear what the experience is like for you when you get to come do it! Thanks for watching as always and I hope to film the Frozen show some time within the next couple of weeks!
I rode this and I have to say it was very good.
We went on this ride at Disney World a few days ago
Wish I got to go on that ride. I think they only have about 3 rides in the park and I missed this one because of long lines.
I swear this ride messes my mind up so bad
Fantastic 👏
Thank you Barb! 😃
4:32 do you know that we’ve been stuck in this line FOR 8 FUCKING HOURS AND PEOPLE ARE SLOWY LEAVING
i hope they put it in any of the asia disneyy parkss would definitely go on 1 out of 3
How bad is the drop on this ride? I really want to go on it but am scared of the drop
It kind of feels like a drop on the Tower of Terror, but a little less intense and it happens so fast so I’d say it isn’t too bad
Is the drop a “real” drop or is it simulated?
I did not get any airtime on it, but the realism behind it did make me verbally proclaim “woah!”
It’s less of a “thrill” drop and more of a “you’re in space” now drop, and the slowdown really helps.
I’ve only rode this ride once it was because it shutdown and reopened quickly and I jumped on it and only waiting like 10 mins for it . The ride itself was longer then the wait time I was lucky . People spend money to save their spot for this ride and still have to wait 150+ minutes in line
Énorme cette attraction j’espère que nous aurons la même à Disney Paris
I agree with everyone that you cant really call this a ride. Its basically a star wars episode with you in it lol
the best ride ever created...
Best ride at WDW
