Playing this and the first Vector Man, the music always brought me to the option menu. I couldn't get enough of these two games; I even have them both still, too! There are other games that have such a memorable OST. Years later, there I was, and still am, listening to electronic music. HAHA, oh these games and others are so awesome!
I still remember my cousin was a sega family and I loved going to see what games they had. Vectorman 2, Road rash 3, Mutant league hockey etc. the list goes on! Sega always seemed for the cooler mature crowd.
easiest pacifist bonus ever, I try to pretty much only kill the first boss that way, because the boosters are actually extremely damaging. also, do you know about the no photon bonus? I'm pretty sure it actually gives more points than collecting all the photons...
I think the first was a better game but this one had some banging music in it. It felt like a wild upgrade in general. All the songs are just pushing the limit for the hardware
I never realized how good this soundtrack was until I just listened to it here without being distracted by playing the game. Thanks for this video. This is some great stuff!
Glad I discovered this game by playing Sonic Gems Collection on the gamecube, I have very fond memories of Into A, Intro B, and Bog even though they're very similar
Announcement, because this place is as good as any: I'm going to do some more uploads but they're all going to be Model 2/MegaAmp uploads for the time being as I'm too lazy to button up the Model 1 I've been working on and I want to have some MegaAmp uploads to round out the portfolio anyway. Hope you enjoy.

This game gave me such sinister vibes when I was little... I always remember the face thing that was in a building. That thing kind of freaked me out when I got to that part: 37:09 Never figured out what it was... Some kind of wraith, maybe?
The Vectorman games always had a cool sound to them. I'll always prefer the 1st game though. Just because the dark levels in Vectorman 2 were so annoying... -_-
I can't believe how many people were willing to pass on a game because "iT's NoT oN tHe CuRrEnT hArDwArE". Vectorman had a lot of potential. Sega ought to give him another chance, now in 3D. God knows they can't make a good Sonic game anymore so they might as well focus on another potential hit.
Hurray, another soundtrack! I like Vectorman. I played it in the Sonic Mega Collection on PS2 and finished it. For some reason I didn't finish the second game, which is weird, because it was a better sequel. Better graphics, better music (my opinion) and overall a better experience. Guess I was too busy playing Sonic CD on the Sonic Gems Collection :P
+Yarfy Fox rocket knight/vectorman 1 were way ahead of their time Along with sonic games as well. Its a shame the companies are dead/devs are gone/disbannded. God the 80-early 2000's was a time when games were just so pure and fun. Now eveyrone just wants money and graphics and shit.
***** Spergs went digital and wanted 'hollywood games' or really dull games that copy sports (eSports). You can really hear it in video game OSTs, they are all boring now.
I'm not sure if you take requests, or if you've already posted this game's soundtrack, but I wanted to ask if you plan on doing a Dynamite Headdy soundtrack in the future. It's really varied and well done.
Well this upload really highlights the problem with some emulation, as that soft 'tik' in the second song is far louder and more strong in the soundtrack I found online. Edit: To clarify I meant the emulated/louder tik is incorrect and off-putting, it's nice to hear how it's supposed to sound here.
yo lo escuhe en genesis con audifonos y puedo decirles qie el cartucho sonaba estereo justo como en este video el genesis 1 sonaba estereo todos los juegos eran los tv antiguos que no eran estereos.
Ah vectorman 2, the game That's probably pretty decent but I can't play it cuz the egg sac things are trying to give me a headache with all the flashing. if anyone knows of a version without the flashing please let me know

I wouldn’t consider this to be a horror game but a lot of the tracks, particularly the boss ones, have that vibe to them.
Lava Boss says hi. Lol
Other than that, yeah I get you.
@@camulodunon do you got that?
swamp theme have some creepy vibes and also location is very dark and insects attack very unexpectable. when I was child, have some chills from this.
game over scared me as a kid
Sega had some of the coolest games. Glad I was a Sega baby.
reason why i just dont like nintendo. After being raised on sega, how could you enjoy the kid friendly nintendo.
@@Zeeblud-Music Perfectly stated.
Also proud to have grown up with Sega but also Nintendo (but more into Sega).
Although I prefer SEGA by a mile I really love both. Mega Drive and Super Nintendo for me are the best consoles ever made.
No "H" in Jon. - ;)~ (Vectorman composer)

***** Thank you! I love it when the composers stop by; it's incredibly validating. Keep up the good work and good luck in the future!
Thanks :)
This OST still holds up REALLY well!
to call both vectorman games osts underrated will never suffice. my favorite genesis games.

One of the main reasons I like techno music today

God, Vectorman is SUCH an underrated game for Genesis. Both games are freaking AWESOME.
Cave is such a banger
Agreed.
It's still stuck in my head, I hum it from time to time.
39:27 Best Soundtrack ever with the Final Boss
I remember beating the first boss using only jump boosters and getting the "pacifist bonus".
easiest pacifist bonus ever, I try to pretty much only kill the first boss that way, because the boosters are actually extremely damaging.
also, do you know about the no photon bonus? I'm pretty sure it actually gives more points than collecting all the photons...
Intro A and Reclamation are the jams. Really fun game.
I think the first was a better game but this one had some banging music in it. It felt like a wild upgrade in general. All the songs are just pushing the limit for the hardware

The atmosphere in this game is impeccable.
I never realized how good this soundtrack was until I just listened to it here without being distracted by playing the game. Thanks for this video. This is some great stuff!
Never understood why they didn't use the Options track in the Options menu. One of the best tracks right there.
Glad I discovered this game by playing Sonic Gems Collection on the gamecube, I have very fond memories of Into A, Intro B, and Bog even though they're very similar
Vector man is a franchise that is sorely in need of a new instalment.
I’m sitting here with headphones tripping out to Intro A.

yo yeah they were my bane. i love the start of 2 though. why Sega didnt at least take this character all the way to dreamcast is beyond me
@@gypdarin1458 Sega did at some point and Vectorman 3 was in the works. From the screenshots Vectorman looked incredibly generic.

How is that?

Lava River is lit.
The Tornado song = Tidal surge(from the first game).

42:32 surrender! Destroy! Hahahaha!
Oh
Better than the first game by a LONG shot!
What makes you significantly prefer this soundtrack over that of the first game? Although I must say I also generally prefer 2'd OST as well.
I extremely like this OST (and Vectorman 1 ost as well). Can anyone recommend similar music (not only in 16-bit osts)?
Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream

I'm really liking the MegaAmp sound.
This game had some really cool music and was pretty fun to play, just an odd character design.
Not nearly as weird as Dynamite Headdy. Who even comes up with something like that?!
Moop Bread You really like Dynamite Headdy don't you? (Makes sense, it's great) Here's its soundtrack: Dynamite Headdy /watch?v=-o5SxC4ZIfY
Yeah, I never found myself too into Dynamite Headdy, sadly.
What can I say? It's a misunderstood and underrated gem. 😄
actually look at MegamanX, most Mortal Kombat characters, DKC, this was kinda the norm in 1995
Tornado es la mejor xD
Great for working out!
39:27 Tornado: aka Tidal Surge Act 2
And what? Because composer still same
I can't believe it took me till now to realize that.

dang, title and cave boss sounded close to music from Event Horizon
Any chance you could upload the soundtrack from the first game?
"Bog" is such a smooth track... It's like listening to vegan butter.
