      You just needed to label the level/titles of the song tracks on these threads, the only thing I would've adjust with the full music track, was applying the bgm first, and put the sad ending, just before good ending, at the very last, on the play track ✊

    When I was 7 years old I used to play this at my neighbours house and the soundtrack was always hype. One day for no reason (maybe because I was a bigger child, and he wanted to prove himself?) he decided to attack me and kicked the shit out my legs to the point that they were bruised for days after despite me being like wtf dude? So when we moved away at the end of the year I climbed over the fence like a Shinobi and stole Revenge of Shinobi as my revenge. It brought me great pleasure to play it at my older cousin's house and for him to be like WHOA where did you get this new game from? Anyway, random childhood anecdote. Not condoning stealing.

    This game will always be one of my favorites! I played it to death as a kid. Ohh man, every new stage I made it too was like learning how to play all over again. Super hard game. Many, many deaths.
    I remember after some serious practice, I used to be able to consistently make it though to the _(second)_ last level, the one on the docks where you had to jump from platform to platform, and then came that freaking jump!! The jump was just a sliiight bit further than a regular jump, but, it felt like if you didn't get the jump frame perfect, you'd miss. Oh my god. I remember time after time wasting ALL of my lives just there on that part. I was furious.
    I ended up beating the game by using super jump over that jump. I just had to, it was the only 100% way to guarantee I wouldn't fail the damn thing and game over there...
    The rest of the game after that, even the bosses that follow, were pretty easy in comparison. X_X
    The end game boss for me was truly that freaking jump!!
    Best game. 10/10

    • @skyblue11685
      @skyblue11685 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Daniel Feneck I think if I remember correctly I do a tried & true method that always works in games concerning jump(s) like what you describe. This goes for any game- Method: as you approach the area to jump walk over the edge until you are about one foot length(one foot is about over the edge while you are still on the ledge) then at that moment while still moving forward immediately press jump, then when the first jump about reaches it's maximum distance & height press jump again to double jump,timing is key. If done correctly you should successfully perform the jump with space left over when your character lands, you can do this without using any special power concerning the game the revenge of shinobi.

    ALL HAIL YUZO KOSHIRO! It's amazing thinking back to way earlier in my childhood growing up with his soundtracks on the Genesis through this game and the "Streets of Rage" series all those years ago, and then playing games like "Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin", "Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl" and "Super Smash Bros. for 3DS" and hearing his new compositions all these years later.

  • @TheCodedtestament
    @TheCodedtestament 10 ปีที่แล้ว +46

    ThIs soundtrack is incredible which is made up of synthesized Japanese rock and pop scores. They really do a great job capturing the slow paced mood for those patient stages, and the high tempo for the faster paced ones. This game features some of the most memorable BGM's I can think of. Sound effects aren't too shabby either, with a "ching" sound when shurikens hit other metal objects, and the sound of crackling electricity when the shield is taking damage.

      +Raiken Xion Something has been definitely lost since a few years in the videogame industry. Now I find myself playing more old school games from eras I didn't even live than current gen ones. My PS4 is literally getting dust right now because of how hardly often I use it.

      I disagree, today we still have great games that are just as good as the classics, even games that emulate the same type of gameplay of that era, and those games will be classics for the next generations just like the 16bit era games are to oldschool gamers.

    • @RaikenXion
      @RaikenXion 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rickydo6572 Well i disagree with you here, it's kinda gone the opposite to how it used to be, in the past games didn't have really great graphics, but they had bags of creativity and the devs back then really used their imagination to work with what little they had interms of power capability and graphical quality.
      Now today it's mostly completely the other way around where all games today look amazing interms of graphical quality, but many-most especially the really big, open-world games come out and either feel rushed, or just unfinished, with loads of bugs or somekind of issues; almost feeling like they were left deliberately in that state, because the developer intends to actually use the "customer/gamer" as a kind of games tester, and they practically spoon-feed us the rest of the unfinished game back, in the form of DLC and updates.
      I'm not saying ALL games today are like this but most are, and it's very different today to how it used to be back in the 80s, and 90s, because "Corporations" have muscled in on all the beloved gaming franchise now. And even many of the big developers and producers that were creative and have given us great games in these modern times, have mostly become so successful that even thy have become saturated, and have turned greedy like the corporations. Bioware, Activision, Bethesda e.g.
      I used to love and trust those companies but not so much now.
