Just binged watched your whole series. Im looking at getting a BMW R80 so thank you for taking the time to film the whole thing and explain what you are doing. Filming yourself doing everything is a ball ache. Your effort is much appreciated! Im looking forward to see future posts. Thanks again.
nice one but you should have used the ferrules supplied on the wire ends they may cause wiring probs later on but well done!! now to see if i can do the same with my sportster chop!!!!
Hi, awesome videos thanks for sharing. Helps me a lot with my project R100R. Do I understand it correctly, you didn't use the starter relais at all? Thanks
Great to see that you found the problem! crazy annoying that it was something that simple.. I am about to embark on the electrickey myself on my r80 and i have never done it before, so I have a question: There are a million ground wires, what is the best way to wire them? do you solder some of them together to decrease the amount of wires or? Thanks !
I've been watching every episode, I've been thinking it's about time for an update 👍 I'm doing a r80 1979 project and in the process of installing an m unit is it possible for a diagram like yours? Thanks Terry
Hi. I’m doing an 86 R65 cafe racer project and follow these videos constantly. Just started developing a bench set up for the m unit to get my head around it. Any chance you can share your PowerPoint file for the wiring diagram. My set up will be similar (e.g no m button, Motoscope Classic Chrono etc.) so updating yours would be a real bonus. Cheers, and thanks again for a really well constructed series of videos. They have been a lifesaver. G
Thank you for this series, it's been incredibly helpful. As another owner of a partly converted R80 this has opened up a whole raft of options for me to spend more time and money on...........;-0 Just a couple of questions when you get a minute, (I'm sorry if I've missed this on previous pages) can let me know the link to the triple clamp and who makes your rear shock? Keep up the good work!
Hi Sir, thank you for all your video’s! Small question, I can not find when you intall the wire to the rpm meter.. can you please help me? Best regards from the Netherlands!
First of all thank you for the very useful videos, you have helped me out a lot. I have a question regarding the resistor location between the reg/rec and the ignition output of the m.unit right? Does your battery charge well now as you weren’t sure about the exact placement of the resistor. I’d appreciate your reply. Thank you
Good day, sir. I’ve been searching same brackets of ignition module unit . Could you tell me where did you buy this brackets ? or parts number , if you know.
Hiya. Yes is the short answer - however there’s a small in-line fuse (1amp) on both the m-lock and motoscope pro. See my wiring diagram - version 7 - there’s a link in the text below episode 50.

Thanks Sven. That’s quite a commitment! I’m glad you’re enjoying the journey.
Congrats sir, an internal ecu ground kicked my butt doing a standard fuel injection conversion back in the day sure sounded healthy :)
really glad you got it sorted! cheers

Awesome!! I was kinda getting worried for a minute there :) Please make sure the battery is charging before you testride it. Don't make my mistakes :D

Hi Frederik. I combined earths to reduce the number as you suggest. I still had loads even after that. 🙄
Fantastic :D

Hi from where did you get the signal to get the RPM on your motogadget tacho ? cheers ....
It’s from the coil. There’s a wiring diagram link in the text for episodes 50. Cheers.

Hi Yusuf. I’ve not yet refitted the charge circuit. I’ll do a new video on it soon. Thanks for watching. 👍
Hello. Like your videos. How did you installed these battery inside the air box?
Good day, sir.
I’ve been searching same brackets of ignition module unit .
Could you tell me where did you buy this brackets ? or parts number , if you know.
Hi Hiroshi. If you have the same bike (an 85 mono) then it’s this part. www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=6&Q=ELA25287
hi, the main fuse of 40amps between the battery and the m-unit, is this the only fuse needed? thnx in advance :-)
Hiya. Yes is the short answer - however there’s a small in-line fuse (1amp) on both the m-lock and motoscope pro. See my wiring diagram - version 7 - there’s a link in the text below episode 50.
Can I ask what did you do with the 2 oil sensors and brake sensors, just delete them?
I fitted a breakout box. I think it’s episode 50
What was that noise from the starter motor when you tried to start it in the end of the video?
hi there can you please send me link where you buy your choke thank you Darko
Any chance of getting a wiring diagram off you buddy, just about to tackle the same job.
Kind regards Richard
Sure. Drop me your email in a reply and I’ll send it.
@@TheLongWayThereUK thanks, its rick.reynolds@sky.com
Glad you made it. What blew the first m-unit?
Hi. The m-unit survived. It’s wasn’t blown after all. Robust unit that!
