    Stunning. The fact that you did proper mechanical repairs and allowed the machine to remain in its original condition without a flashy restoration speaks volumes of your devotion to what really matters. It looks great and sounds like a dream. Congratulations, enjoy the machine safely for many years, and thanks for a great posting.

    People who designed and built her? Dead. People who bought and loved her? Mostly dead. But somehow they're living on when this original machine roars into life!

    1928 e ainda funciona,é inacreditável a dedicação do dono em manter viva uma raridade dessas.Ela vêm de uma época em que carros e motos eram feitos para durar a vida inteira,com pouca manutenção,não se fazem mais motos como antigamente,triste verdade!

    I found one of these in a barn fifty years ago. was fun to ride with a suicide clutch and hand shifting. these engines were also popular for early ultralight aircraft like the Heath Bathtub.

      James Clark those inline 4s were early aircraft engines yes not just for early ultralights. They were also utilized for early WWI trainers. Even when on a motorcycle. The engine does sound like an aircraft engine

    • @AwsomeVids83
      @AwsomeVids83 8 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      yes, you're right. Those sport bikes that rev to 10 or 12000 rpm do not sound good. That is why i like harleys.

      +wdowa94 it sounds like an old golf 3 1.2. i mean the engine isnt that much smaller and its a mid-revving i4 engine. in other words: nothing for me. but thats all taste anyway.

    A guy found a Henderson in his grandfather's barn and brought it in for me to get running when I was a Triumph dealer back in 1954. Hadn't run since the beginning of the war. New tires and tubes, cleaned the carb, got the gunk out of the tank and it ran like a clock. What really surprised me was the torque when you revved the engine.

    My dad had a four cyl Indian that he bought before WWII. He still had it when we moved to Roswell, NM in the 50s when I was five. I remember riding in back of him on that huge seat around Walker AFB. He finally got a offer he couldn’t refuse and he had three kids he was supporting on a Major’s salary. That bike was a super trooper if there ever was one. Noisy but smooth, pretty paint, low to the ground.

    My grandfather had a Henderson with a sidecar during prohibition. He used it to run booze from New York to New Hampshire.
