He’s from the old school no doubt. I don’t know much about the guy except his movies but as always- if you can make don smirk, you doin something right
My parents saw Rickles’ show many times. One night at the Sands, he picked my mom out of the audience for wearing a white suit and turtleneck that made her “look like a U-Boat captain.” My mom cracked up about that for the rest of her life ❤️
That's because Vince is a real dude. Worked his ass off, and stayed true to himself. Nothing like the soul-sellers in Hollywood. Still just a Midwest good guy. 😎
Great chemistry between those two guys. I think of Vince as a bit of a throwback. He's one of those rare talents that could fit in any era of movies or comedy. Bless you Don, you will be missed!
Don likes Vince. Vince has that mans man type personality that too many Hollywood stars lack these days. Vince doesnt break face like too many actors either.
Lol, there aren't enough macho dudes in Hollywood for you eh? You must have a huge appetite for big strong men. There's a shitload of them but it ain't enough for you! You're sure a man's man :D
AARP is fucking legendary for documenting these string of interviews with an absolute legend in Don Rickles. This will be a gift and a gem to future generations.
Always liked Vince Vaughn. He’s quick enough and has a genuine realness and likable character enough to be an excellent talk show host. And he listens, absorbs it and then rolls with it and the timing of being serious or making a fun situation is very good.
I am so thankful that when I was 18 I was given the pleasure of seeing Don Rickles on stage in Vegas was 1988. I asked for a comp at the black jack table and they gave me a pair of tickets to see Don Rickles will never forget it. God Bless Don
Common thread through all of these "Dinner with Don" is how excited younger comics were to meet Don. Almost all were surprised though when one on one with Don they received encouragement and not the dig that was expected. Heart of gold, RIP Don
I'm not sure why, but I find Vince's line, "we're just 2 guys talking next to the ocean like guys do" so freaking funny. It's also very, very Vince Vaughan, like something that could've come from his comedies when he's nervous fast talking someone.
I have been watching some of these episode and Everytime his guest get one joke in you could see his face ligths up like proud papa !! Like he loves that it !like playing tennis or chest ! That their not afraid to throw one on him! Such a sweet intelligent man.RIP!!
So sad that Don is no longer with us. But this interview series is a great gift showing him in his last months still holding up well. Thanks for the memories Don & AARP!
Just watched a couple of AARP interviews with Rickles. (Galifianakis, Poehler). I would have figured him last in terms of interview skills, but Vince Vaughn has serious talent. This guy needs a late night show. Great interview with the one of a kind.
There is something exquisitely real about Vince Vaughn which is genuine, at least to me. I don't know much about him or his acting career but he does an outstanding job interviewing Don here. It's doubtful, to me at least that he could do a funny monologue like all the great talk show hosts seem to have to do. But other than that, being a talk show host could be a perfect fit for him.
A double edged sword. Seeing Don frail and yet still very clever. Generations come and go. I think Rickles was the last of his generation. I like Vaughn. He has very good range and hopefully he is around to do his Dinner with Vince.
Jim Rodgers yes. Rickles at this point was clearly slowing down.. probably lucky he made it to the taping. Vince is not funny.. not even a little bit.. Rickles in his prime.. “Umbini Bombast started his car, with your record playing.. now he’s a highway.”
Yeah but that doesn't make somebody an inherently good interviewer. He clearly knows Don's work but that makes this a stacked deck, not evidence of great interview skills.
@@jamescarter3196 well i would assume any interviewer would do some decent research on his/her guest, so that's not a stacked deck it just means you're well prepared for the task ahead
Dont worry Vince, I watched the Wedding Crashers at least 20 times and I have an AARP card, it comes for you quickly when you are busy with life, you will also someday have one my friend. Much respect
Actually, a PT tender. He played in "Run Silent, Run Deep" about a sub, but he talks about how Burt Lancaster wanted him to learn about subs for the movie.
That was great editing - having that line come right on the heels of his observation about making fun of "whatever you're most insecure about" to bond with friends.
Mr Don just unbelievable ,he’s a secret keeper,he lived with some really interesting people and knows a lot of things, but he never talk about it. Respect
When you want someone you care about to get out of their own head, you rib them about their faults. Get them to laugh at themself. I wish this generation could learn the value of that art form of love
05:37 "I´m goingo to guess you´re about 55? / Vince: 46 / Don: You look good / Vince: You only missed it by a decade.... Hahaha, best conversation ever xD
All of these conversations are so interesting. Some guests try to be clever, to out-Don Don, others treat him like he's like a great grandfather and I don't think Don loved that. Vince, on the other hand, just found common ground and stayed present. Very cool.
You can tell how much Vince admires Don by the way he carries himself and with the questions he asks. Vince would be a great actual talkshow host. The ones these days are catering chameleons
Its uncommon for people like Don Rickles who have had a long and well-celebrated career to have an opportunity to be with their friends before their passing. Sadly most people would wish he's still with us. Truly a national treasure.
Vince Vaughn has that old school friar's club roast energy, very quick on his feet comedically. This was a treat
Well said,and I agree!
@@517oceanfront aww qqàvà1££′1qqq
Totally. He could be a star in the 20’s to now and seem perfectly at home. It’s kind of weird to me he wasn’t an even bigger star.
He’s from the old school no doubt. I don’t know much about the guy except his movies but as always- if you can make don smirk, you doin something right
My parents saw Rickles’ show many times. One night at the Sands, he picked my mom out of the audience for wearing a white suit and turtleneck that made her “look like a U-Boat captain.” My mom cracked up about that for the rest of her life ❤️
Hilarious.
By far Vince is the most comfortable of the younger crowd that interviewed him. Respect.
That's because Vince is a real dude. Worked his ass off, and stayed true to himself. Nothing like the soul-sellers in Hollywood. Still just a Midwest good guy. 😎
He's also the funniest and in my opinion, the smartest.
Agree.
He's got that quick wit like don
Mark Seager ...yup
Great chemistry between those two guys. I think of Vince as a bit of a throwback. He's one of those rare talents that could fit in any era of movies or comedy. Bless you Don, you will be missed!
im surprised we dont see him in more stuff, i've always been a big fan
Don likes Vince. Vince has that mans man type personality that too many Hollywood stars lack these days. Vince doesnt break face like too many actors either.

James Carter and we have our first butt hurt beta male everyone
@Exx Seppshun oh so they made him get a DUI or what? Enlighten me please
OP lol you have another type of definition of what a real man is than what most normal dudes have.
I think Vince resembles Bob Hope and is kind of a fast talker like him. I’m sure he saw that in him too
AARP is fucking legendary for documenting these string of interviews with an absolute legend in Don Rickles. This will be a gift and a gem to future generations.
True. Still here in 2024
Always liked Vince Vaughn. He’s quick enough and has a genuine realness and likable character enough to be an excellent talk show host. And he listens, absorbs it and then rolls with it and the timing of being serious or making a fun situation is very good.
Vince Vaughn could be a comedic in the 50s, and that's a compliment.
Agreed😆
F
I agree, Vince Vaughn is very witty!
yes lots of venues were whites only so very little competition for dimwitted pimps turned comics
I am so thankful that when I was 18 I was given the pleasure of seeing Don Rickles on stage in Vegas was 1988. I asked for a comp at the black jack table and they gave me a pair of tickets to see Don Rickles will never forget it. God Bless Don
Vince is a class act.
Common thread through all of these "Dinner with Don" is how excited younger comics were to meet Don. Almost all were surprised though when one on one with Don they received encouragement and not the dig that was expected. Heart of gold, RIP Don
Don Rickles at 90...frail but still sharp. RIP Mr Warmth...there won't be another.
We lost a national treasure when Don passed away. RIP Don.
I'm not sure why, but I find Vince's line, "we're just 2 guys talking next to the ocean like guys do" so freaking funny. It's also very, very Vince Vaughan, like something that could've come from his comedies when he's nervous fast talking someone.

Same schtick every time. Meh.

There will never be a Don Rickles. Hope you're in a better place now Don may you Rest In Peace
He is in a better place. He is insulting God
Well, there _was_ a Don Rickles. He's the one in the clip. So, your claim there will never be one is off the mark.
Vince is so confident and a real Man
So sad that Don is no longer with us. But this interview series is a great gift showing him in his last months still holding up well. Thanks for the memories Don & AARP!
I love Don Rickles, I miss him so. These episodes are great.
Vince vougn is a old school soul love this interview!! rip mr rickels
Mike S dude, English
RIP Don Rickles. Vince, you have done a marvelous job sitting down with a legend and just share stories.
How come there is no more of these. They r the best
Excellent back and forth 😂didn't think anyone could keep up with the Don . You made Don laugh , great reward.
This is the best Don interview I’ve seen. Vince treated him with the respect a man of his age expects. No foul language and took him seriously.
Just watched a couple of AARP interviews with Rickles. (Galifianakis, Poehler). I would have figured him last in terms of interview skills, but Vince Vaughn has serious talent. This guy needs a late night show. Great interview with the one of a kind.
Watch Swingers. He was playing himself.
He's to Consertives Politically for them to give him such a show..
"Pretty good. You only missed it by a decade." He outdonned Don on that one. Haha
Yup. That was smooth as it could get. Too bad, the camera didn't pan to Don's face to catch his reaction.
You really think Rickles cared.
There is something exquisitely real about Vince Vaughn which is genuine, at least to me. I don't know much about him or his acting career but he does an outstanding job interviewing Don here. Don was a real legend and sharp even at 90. Vince respects the right to be in his presence.
Love Don...a rare and timeless man...a great comedian. Brought lots of joy and laughter into this world, and still does...RIP Don
Vince Vaugh and Don Rickles... two classic guys. Both very talented. Truly enjoyed that interview. Thanks.

Vince should have his own show, just interviewing celebrities, he's got such a smooth unopposing style to make ppl talk about themselves 😊
Yeah but that doesn't make somebody an inherently good interviewer. He clearly knows Don's work but that makes this a stacked deck, not evidence of great interview skills.

Love Vince and Don!
Vince is a great guy and him and don just bounce off each other. Two great guys

Hey, this one was recorded on my birthday! Thanks for the belated gift, Don and Vince. I love the both of ya.
Mr. Rickles thank you for your service in World War II. He was part of the greatest generation. I believe in the Navy on a sub. R.I.P.
Actually, a PT tender. He played in "Run Silent, Run Deep" about a sub, but he talks about how Burt Lancaster wanted him to learn about subs for the movie.
Both of their giggles was so endearing.
Big Vince Vaughn laughs like a little boy when don cracks him up. It's great to hear
I can listen to these guys for hours.
So nice that these are coming out..been following Don all my life..Miss you, pal. Sleep warm.
Vince's reaction at 2:56 is AWESOME!!!!!! 😂😂👏👏👏
Everytime I see Don I just smile what a treasure
Swingers is one of my all time favorite movies. Vegas Baby Vegas. Great episode with Vince and Don.
Watch the movie "Made". Same 2 actors. Not as good as Swingers, but still great.
Two cool dudes!! Great idea AARP!
"I like eating fish by the ocean, makes me feel powerful."
xart23x I like eating pork by the barn , it makes me feel more powerful.
That was great editing - having that line come right on the heels of his observation about making fun of "whatever you're most insecure about" to bond with friends.
In the 13 episodes that there are I haven't seen Don laugh as much with anybody as he has with Vince Vaughn
thats cuz vince is actually funny and a real person

I feel Vince is a very underated comedian and actor, he has a really cool vibe and delivery
There are some people that in a perfect world would never die and those really great ones that don't.
Very much enjoyed the love and respect in this interview. Vince was on it.
Not really
Whoever dislikes these videos with Don Rickles needs to really get a life
God bless Don Rickles
Maybe this explains why they don't have a life! Lol
I agree wholeheartedly with Sam Luciano
People probably dont realise this is a charity and think theyre profiting of don rickles
They can't get something they know nothing about.
Only came across don and few weeks ago but loving the ride. The guy is a freaking genius.
Vince Vaughn is the best compliment to Don. He has facial features that are easy to recognize and that’s important at Don’s age.
Barley a few seconds in and Don already clowning on him😂.
Just an outstanding post . Don Rickles is the #GOAT simply the greatest my pops and I will watch his videos for hours .
the beauty in this is there both quick jab smart asses, its gold.
