Thank you for this! 🙌🏼 we had such a bear of a time w this last time. We don’t have our manual anymore. No clue where that went. But this worked the first time for a change. Adding the descaling kit to our next nespresso order. This machine has been amazing. We’ve had it for about three years. Went thru two Starbucks machines and switched. No regrets!

For anyone who does not have descaling solution, I did a cleaning cycle followed by the descaling process using just water and was able to obtain the green light after. But I will be getting the descaling powder for next time just to make sure the job is done well.

I descaled with 1/2 reservoir of water and 2c vinegar - worked great. Thank You for video. I saved it for next time….and yes you were way easier to follow than official page.

Yes it’s good to be prepared and ready for when you need to descale. I have 2 machines for this reason, if one breaks or is not usable I have the other! Can’t live with out my cafecito! 😆

I Also thought that doing the tapping three times and orange light was the descaling, I didn’t have the descaling solution so I just descaled it with regular filtered water. I wish they made some kind of less chemically descaling solution OK. Great video you’re awesome thank you

Thank you for your instruction. My machine was making very loud spinning noise. I ran it descaling actually without the solution, and now the loud noise is gone. I think the problem was that some coffee ground was stuck in the machine.

I did that also without the solution and stopped the descaling, it turned green then back to red

You can do a descale with just water…it will help. Try to do a descale with solutions as well for best result.

Does the Orange light go off by itself after descaling or do you have to manually switch it off ? If so I did that and it turned green then back to half red ring
You have to take it out of descale mode. Should give you instructions in the manual. I believe I show how in the video.

I use one part vinegar two parts water
What is in the descaling solution?
My Machine different it is nespresso vertuo pluse white it’s lighting all red is that okay?😭 when i clean just with water it works with the way you did , but still red because maybe because I didn’t use the nespresso descaling agent i’ll buy it tomorrow but i want to know if my machine is okay 😭😭😭???
If you can call Nespresso customer service, they can give you better advice than I can. Hope your machine starts working again!
If i use only distilled water do I still need to descale? no light yet.
Hmm good question! I think you may still need to descale machine, but not as soon. I think the descaling is also to clean coffee build up as well as water deposits. You can always contact Nespresso customer service for help.
I used a good water too but I still descale it.
Hello, I have a vertuo machine, the problem is it’s giving me half cup only! And being noisy after the half cup, I think maybe the water pump is not working or something, anybody can help me with an idea ?
Best thing to do is call the Nespresso customer service. If the machine is under warranty still they will repair it or replace it. I haven’t experienced that issue and not sure not to help.
When trying to Descale, the ring flashes orange but never pumps anything out. What am I doing wrong?
