As we commemorate the 46th anniversary of the original "Voltes V" anime this year, which coincides during the ongoing run of its live-action remake "Voltes V: Legacy" on GMA Network, we bring all of you a mega-MixMax of its iconic OP theme "Voltes V No Uta".
It is a video collaboration mix featuring vocals by what we call them the Voices V, which consists of Julie Ann San Jose and four talented TH-camrs; aLf, Jhona (Vocapanda), Megumi, and Sachi Gomez, and also featuring vocals by Mitsuko Horie - the singer of the original.
ABOUT VOLTES V:
Out of nowhere, the Earth is been invaded by the tyrannical forces of the Boazan Empire. So, in order to tackle this desperate situation to save all of humanity, a team of five specially trained young individuals: Kenichi Goh (Steve), Ippei Mine (Mark), Daijirou Goh (Big Bert), Hiyoshi Goh (Little Jon) and Megumi Oka (Jamie) are called upon and chosen to pilot the super robot Voltes V, the planet's only primary defense against the Boazans and their gruesome Beast Fighters.
The plot thickens when Kenichi, Daijirou, and Hiyoshi uncover their genuine ancestry and the reason behind the unexplained absence of their father, Kentaro (Ned). At times, conflicts and conflicting emotions obstructed them, but the three push through with an unflagging determination to locate their father.
They must go back to where it all started; with the support of Earth-based rebels and those on the aliens' home planet, the Voltes Team has a new mission - to depose the tyrant Zu Zambajil and to set the Boazanian people free.
