As a novice lightsaber enthusiast myself, the three main companies I deal with are SaberForge, Ultrasabers, and Sabertrio. Each have there pluses and minuses. But I like the sabers from all of these companies....but for different reasons. Ultrasabers does make some very duel-worthy sabers. As for Sabertrio and SaberForge, their hilts are beautifully crafted, very realistic sabers, but somewhat duel-worthy. It appears sabers are just like cars. You but what speaks to you!! Good video and thank you for making it.
try looking at Imperial Workshop, they have low price neopixel sabers that are actually pretty good, especially for the price, they come with the all the expected features and neopixel and have 33 base sound fonts and you can add more if you want, I bought a Luke Saber from them and yknow the hilt is great, exactly whatd youd expect for a Luke saber and the neopixel was fantastic, I payed 220$ for that, on ultrasabers youd be paying 600 for like 10 fonts, no smooth swing and slightly effy sabers
I just had a great experience with ordering from US and will do so again. Their customer support reps Molly and Marlena were fantastic and took good care of me. They made sure I got everything I asked for, hooked me up with their discounts so I saved like almost $200 on their sabers. They are super friendly people and I like Emory's story from going from nothing at the bottom of the barrel of society and grew up to be a successful businessman and enthusiastic part of the SW community as a whole. Yes the LV 2's and 3's are very basic but they are practical for actual use. Their newer stuff from the LV4 line onwards do NOT look like flashlights. They also have the best soundboards around and they dont make you fork out hundreds of dollars for entry level stuff. I just ordered their Consular and Bellicose and I'll be showing them off in a video when they arrive. I also bought 3 entry level stunt sabers, all different and all good looking in their own right. I never understood the desire to cosplay with another characters exact copy of a lightsaber. Don't you want your's to be different just a little bit to make it more unique to yourself? Anyways that's why I buy from US. I will never touch SF because the owner is douchie as hell. I dont even know what his politics are but if he supports and contributes to things I'm against, yeah I wont buy from him if I know that either. But what ticks me off about him is how he's treated customer complaints, critics, and what he said about the late and great Christopher Lee. I'll never forgive him for that!
I ordered the Darth Vader saber from saber forge for a life time friend...impressively made! Very realistic and the sounds, motion activation etc were spot on. Cost about 200usd...huge bargain.

The $75 mystery box from Ultrasabers might be the best deal out there. You're pretty much guaranteed a full-size hilt and full-length blade, and if you're lucky you might get a saber with sound that's close to $200 in value.
Vaders Vault, Genesis Custom Sabers, Do clo sabers, The Custom Saber shop. They've been around in the community the longest. Which means when you drop some cash on them, you're getting some of the best quality sabers you can buy.
@@cephalonrolli5678 not sure. It looks like the saber from Vader's Apprentice from The force unleashed 2. If that's the case. MANY of the smiths in the pinned comment sell one like it. Which means you could probably get one from any of the major smiths easy.
interesting, i wasn't aware so many companies made lightsabers. some looked like they had some 3D printed greeblies slapped on, while others looked as if it was milled aluminum and/or etched by some method.
Yep that's right. I noticed too that at least one had some 3D printed parts. Personally I'm looking at seriously getting a saber from Ultrasabers. He didn't really show a good picture of the US sabers though imo. Some actually do look really good nowadays. Remember this video is almost 3 years old. US has some really nice looking sabers. @@MartyMcfly_88 Same. I am now the proud owner of a US Apprentice LE V5. Obsidian V4 soundboard, Emerald LED driver, lithium ion battery setup. Loving it so far. I do see the appeal of the diamond saber though, being able to change colors and soundfonts at the same time on demand all through the saber. In hindsight it might have been better to go with that, but regardless, I am very happy with my saber. It's just a little bit short though, and I already have pretty small hands, so I may get a pommel that extends out by just a half an inch more. I also have the covertec wheel and covertec clip, so I could always take the covertec wheel off to give my hands some more room. Like I said I'm very much enjoying it. I also got my dad The Sentinel LE V5 in Dark Violet amethyst (I believe it's called Blue Violet amethyst these days). That was just a stunt saber, so there's no sound, and the blade is one color only. But we did decide to go for the rechargeable batteries in that one as well, saving us some batteries in the long run. We used both during this year's Halloween which was quite fun, so it's definitely a win-win.
@@ironman98 that's why you gotta love ultrasabers that's cool you bought your dad one tho yeah I had to go with the diamond cuz I knew I'd regret it if not I'm 16 an saving for a car but I've always wanted one so I finally decided to get one even tho I had to take from my savings lol an good choices btw I also got the same one you did but in gold for my brother
Haha actually I’m saving up for an ultrasaber build which is gonna run me at least $700 not including shipping. I know it’s definitely not close to the priciest, but plenty pricey for me. My first choice was saberforge, but almost everything was sold out, or preorder so I went with ultrasaber. I also LOVE how fast they ship.
I own 3 Saberforge sabers; I was back to being a kid when I opened those packages. Their lightsabers are beautifully made, I don't have a bad thing to say about the lightsabers themselves, however their shipping time and customer service is a little lacking. You shouldn't let that deter you, the waiting time is totally worth it, and when they do get back to you they're more than happy to help in anyway they can.
Saberz.com sells the starlight blade. Out of all lightsaber blades I've yet to find anything with with a more illuminated tip whilst still being affordable. Seriously happy with my purchase.
Everybody in comments mentioning expensive companies, which are great if you get paid for Cosplay. I think a mystery box or grab bag from Ultra Sabers is hard to beat. ACLightsabers seems to be the most affordable, and Salt Lake Saber Co. overall with some accurate choices, combat ready sabers around $185, that come with 32 inch blade, and a quartz Kyber crystal with all purchases sounds like agr8 deal to me.
Kyberlight is a good company.. they have changable pommels and shrouds and the blades have a lifetime warranty.. you can also get dayblades.. so if it breaks from combat they will replace it free and free shipping and the saber has a year warranty also.. my favorite company so far
I actually bought 2 sabers from US, and to be honest the shipping wasn't fast really it took at least I believe was 2-3 months prior when I bought them too, and both was the same kind of saber to make for a saberstaff.
Ultrasabers is the company I went with for the cost. Needing to buy 2 sabers for halloween this year, I was able to get two pretty decent sabers with sound, and their free shipping + 15% off the order really sealed the deal for me. Total spent was about $400. Would have been around $550 without the discount and free shipping. Sabers also had some extra addon features like tri-LED's for superbright glow. Very good deal. I can see where people are coming from with the "glorified flashlights" claim, because their saber hilts are very simplistic aluminum. They look like light sabers, but they're definitely not lore friendly and are lacking all the little detail pieces found on movie style hilts. However, that's the very reason I don't like those types of hilts. With nobs and metal flanges poking out everywhere, they're not comfortable to hold. There's almost no place to hold the hilt without some piece of metal or plastic jabbing into your palm. They're also typically thicker, and worse for gripping. Ultrasaber hilts are what I imagine lightsabers would have looked like if there had been someone with common sense in the Star Wars universe. Sleek, simple, made to be held, no fuss. Ultrasaber hilts are also what I prefer to duel with, just because they're so durable and comfortable on the hands. Everything else just looks better on the wall or a display, imo.
They are a good value for the price. In terms of price per feature, they're the best. Most features on a Kyberlight saber you can get with all the other providers, but the other providers charge you for each feature. (i.e. customization, number of colors, battle/sparing capable, etc.) If you're looking to get into the saber community, Kyberlight is an inexpensive way to test the waters. If you're looking to get quality sabers in mass (say, for your kids or your family) Kyberlight is DEFINITELY the place to go. Hope that helps.
As the review carried on you forgot to ask for your collage fee . Lol Good luck with everything you do. You made my day with myself and others so many have been trapped by the covid light saber definitely from the dark side.
It's very complicated figuring out which ones to buy when there's so many, atm I just want the best version of each Movie/Game saber (about 13 all up) that I like, screen accurate, light and sound, has a crystal, bright blade.
Merci beaucoup , what an amazing video , i am novice and i know Saberforge and Ultrasaber , i discovered the names of the others here on your video . It's hard to choose , for my first laser saber i spend a week for witch one i want , all are so beautiful . Thanks now i will need a year to decide whith all compagny .Lol I receved my first laser saber last week , Saberforge Prodigy . Amazing . It's a expensive passion to collect , nevermind it's a kid dream
For some strange reason your Annakin/Luke Skywalker Light Saber reminds me of an old Graflex 4X5 press camera I used to own and the Flash Bulb holder that went with it.
You also missed JQ sabers which are primarily for duelling and a lot more 'economic'. This isn't a criticism tho, there are tens of lightsaber companies and this list is great!
I also have a friend who has quite a few sabers from 'Saberz'. She won't ever buy anymore from their company, because she discovered they use cheep chinese knockoff soundboards when she took one out, after like 3 of her soundboards just stopped working after less than a year, and she doesn't duel at all. 1 of the ones that still works just changes settings on it's own, so while she's swinging it around, it'll change colors and sound fonts, or randomly turn itself off. It's kinda funny. They're cheap for a reason... and never buy them off Amazon if you do buy one. There's no warranty, and their customer service is rated horribly.
You should check out AClightsabers on etsy. I bought a saber from there and they're super cheap for the quality of them. They're like $70 before shipping if you get one without sound. I got one that was inspired by Anakin Skywalkers saber in revenge of the Sith. Not movie accurate, but still pretty close. And the blade is very bright and can be used for light dueling. Overall, I was very happy with my purchase from them. They're made by a guy named Alan Cheong. I definitely recommend AClightsabers on etsy if you're looking for something cheap with decent quality. Also, they are based in Malaysia, but ship surprisingly fast, once my saber shipped, it only took 4 days to get to me (I live in Illinois in the U.S). Also, Alan is very good at staying in touch with you and answering any questions you might have.
Where is the best quality and price for a saber that shows the crystal inside? Also, if it’s possible to have this saber able to be dueled with as well?
I don't like how Ultra Sabers' sabers tighten the blade in with a screw on the side. Do any of these companies use the same plug and twist blades Disney's Galaxy's Edge uses?
I got one from Hampton had him build me an original Luke/Anakin sabre 600$ took me 7 months to get it but that was couple yrs ago had him put spinning plasma gate its definately sick very high quality.
Some great companies there but I always return to Ultrasabers, so what if most designs aren't fancy enough, they're usable with high quality, great price & top service, all things considered they are unbeatable.
I get buying buying custom built light sabers from these companies and the craftsmanship put into them and being priced accordingly for whichever one you want? But I've not seen anyone mentioning the fact that you can build your own combat ready light sabers with sound fx and all of the other goodies the more expensive one's have inside of them got for a hell of a lot less $$$ and the only wait time for your saber to arrive is how long it takes for you to complete the build yourself? Some of the light saber build tutorials here on TH-cam were pretty good and were light sabers of the characters most fans were wanting such as Kenobi's, Anakin's, and Luke's RotJ light saber? But I guess why D.I.Y. when you can pay someone to do it for you??
waiting for your next review. i'm a private builder/smith. found your video very informative. great collection of resourses. love you approach and well structured commentary. MEOW
saber forge wont even fix their crap, just out of warranty products, if you pay for it. The pictures on their site are not actually where the buttons are on the saber. I know because I got one specifically for the recessed button and it came looking like shit in a totally other spot. When I let them know that's why I bought that saber they told me it was better with it sticking out right where it is grabbed. If you say these things on their site or just copy and paste their customer service interactions they erase everything. Go vaders vault if you want something beautiful and kyberlight if you just want it to last and work, Saberforge if you want a paperweight saber.
Weston Dunkin-Butcher I would say that u should only get a saber from ultrasabers if you’re looking for a cheap, entry level saber. Otherwise there are much better companies
Mad confused when I see comments like that about ultrasaber saying their cheap lmao they can take a beating while also being one of the brightest LEDs super quality an if I'm wrong what would you recommend?
legit just spent $380 on an emerald saber and right out of the box the blue LED does not work. soooooo now i gotta send it back to get fixed... im heated man.
Damn man now you got me scared. I just ordered one from ultrasabers and another decent priced one from saberforge..Was hating the fact of the lead time with saberforge after the fact of ordering but hoping they come sooner and working as intended.. Damn dude sucks that happened with yours.
Ultrasabers is like Walmart, it gets the job done, you dont spend alot of money, but dont complain when the thing breaks or has problems. Their sabers are made fast and cheap. you get what you pay for.
I hope one day, the "blades" would be vibrating and would flicker-react when in contact with any surface/blade. An added plus if the blades are made of high-impact thin telescopic polymer to truly mimic the movies.
Proffie, Crystal Focus X, Golden Harvest boards, when combined with pixel blades and Smoothswing, brings the experience of wielding a saber closer than ever before.
You forgot one company. I forgot their name and can’t find them now, but it’s good quality sabers, not really decorated though, and only $80. I got one, and it quit working after a few days because I didn’t use the charger that it came with. Like damn, why they gotta be so picky? It’s the same type of charger. Just because it ain’t your product doesn’t mean you can destroy my $80

B Redford How long was the shipping on average, I’m looking at buying one
Thank you very much for detailing all the places where you can buy.
I don’t know if Sabertrio was out 2 years ago, but check them out
Almost forgot my other favorite. Genesis Custom Sabers!!
I love ultra sabers because aren't all lightsaber replicas glorified flashlight
Vire Sabers is another small family owned business that's worth checking out. Great quality and affordable prices
Who would you recommend for the best price most durable combat-ready custom sabers with really bright blades that come with good sounds?
Sabertrio, Sabermach, Vader's Vault, GCS, Electrum Sabercrafts
Kyberlight is a good company.. they have changable pommels and shrouds and the blades have a lifetime warranty.. you can also get dayblades.. so if it breaks from combat they will replace it free and free shipping and the saber has a year warranty also.. my favorite company so far
you are awesome bro, your video really help me with all my problems of buying one, great job
I'm buying a saber from saltlakesaberCo for. I heard they are durable and I prefer the simple designs
I actually bought 2 sabers from US, and to be honest the shipping wasn't fast really it took at least I believe was 2-3 months prior when I bought them too, and both was the same kind of saber to make for a saberstaff.
Saber forge now sells custom triple blade emitter, double blade, single blade, crystal chamber, anything sabers as of 2020
Ultrasabers is the company I went with for the cost.
And if you do like the greeblies you can glue on what you want or get some sealer rings for additional customization. :)
Could you put the links in your description?
smart idea will do that as soon as possible!
1 year later, still hasnt done. 😕
Just like Hampton's sabers, it takes 2 years...
hehe yeah
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
“I’m a guy in high school” Oh...
What do you think of Kyberlight? I'd be curious what others think about them. They seem good value for price.
Excellent video. Will you be making an updated video for 2019? Thx.
I want to because this video is old and outdated haha, thank you watching!
I recently bought a saber from Kyberlight
There is another guy who I believe runs his shop out of Germany but sells his sabers on etsy. His name is argentumsaber
Dang i know who your talking about i feel bad i forgot about him
Merci beaucoup , what an amazing video , i am novice and i know Saberforge and Ultrasaber , i discovered the names of the others here on your video .
It's hard to choose , for my first laser saber i spend a week for witch one i want , all are so beautiful .
Thanks now i will need a year to decide whith all compagny .Lol
I receved my first laser saber last week , Saberforge Prodigy . Amazing .
It's a expensive passion to collect , nevermind it's a kid dream
which ...effing WoW players
5:20 Anyone know the name of this saber? I just thought it looked cooler than any other one I have seen, and wanted to know if it was still available
For some strange reason your Annakin/Luke Skywalker Light Saber reminds me of an old Graflex 4X5 press camera
I used to own and the Flash Bulb holder that went with it.
That where the original lightsaber came from
That’s because that’s exactly what they used to make it.
Saber forge is the best for look alike and dueling at very good prices
Actually, Saberz used the Plecter Prizm board. I followed their growth when they first started up in the FX-Sabers forum
Cody Odom how is the durability of the blade?
Where is the best quality and price for a saber that shows the crystal inside? Also, if it’s possible to have this saber able to be dueled with as well?
I have a Salt Lake saber Co. It works great, strong, bright, cool colors and awesome hilts.
It's a Incredible video Man Fabulous Share👊
Finding Dory was so powerful
I don't like how Ultra Sabers' sabers tighten the blade in with a screw on the side. Do any of these companies use the same plug and twist blades Disney's Galaxy's Edge uses?
Pretty much all companies use a blade retention screw to hold the blade in.
I'm looking for a cheep beginner lightsaber any tips? something better then the ones at Walmart but nothing more then 30
Anything thst can be bought from Europe? Most of the shops and sabersmits ship from the us, and the prices are half the sabers price XD? Any advise?
www.jqsabers.com/
Loved it, thanks for the effort.
Do you know if any of them make a “Rancor Tooth” one like the one from Disney? I’m not going to DisneyWorld and paying an extra $200 to get it....
18:21
Evan Ulch lol thanks dude. I was making my kid’s lunch while I was listening to it. Lol I missed a lot!
What would you recommend for 100-250 price range? I don’t care about wait times.
Ultrasabers
waiting for your next review. i'm a private builder/smith. found your video very informative. great collection of resourses. love you approach and well structured commentary. MEOW
Is the hilt at 4:38 a limited run? I don't see it on their site.
Too bad about Hampton's Sabers...
saber forge wont even fix their crap, just out of warranty products, if you pay for it.
I just bought my first saber from ultrasaber
will u post a review
I bought one for 600 bucks and it sucks. Ordered from Vader’s Vault for 1000 bucks but they take a hell of a long time so don’t have that one yet.
Weston Dunkin-Butcher I would say that u should only get a saber from ultrasabers if you’re looking for a cheap, entry level saber. Otherwise there are much better companies
@@otex1118 lmao huh they have some of the best quality what about the diamond controller that's the most customizable sound board on the market
Mad confused when I see comments like that about ultrasaber saying their cheap lmao they can take a beating while also being one of the brightest LEDs super quality an if I'm wrong what would you recommend?
I really enjoy ultrasabers. If u get the right ones you won't be disappointed.
So what's the best sabersmith / company right now?
Very informative video man, I came here from your IG page. Keep up the good work!
legit just spent $380 on an emerald saber and right out of the box the blue LED does not work. soooooo now i gotta send it back to get fixed... im heated man.
Damn man now you got me scared. I just ordered one from ultrasabers and another decent priced one from saberforge..Was hating the fact of the lead time with saberforge after the fact of ordering but hoping they come sooner and working as intended.. Damn dude sucks that happened with yours.
I think I'll build my own like a true Jedi
I just knew Master Replicas and heard about FX-Saber and know there is an entire industry
Now it's all Neopixel blades
I have waited over a month for my Saber from Ultra Sabers😤
Ultrasabers is like Walmart, it gets the job done, you dont spend alot of money, but dont complain when the thing breaks or has problems. Their sabers are made fast and cheap. you get what you pay for.
as long as you just stick with no sound they are really durable, but the sound sabers break and aren't installed well.
I ordered my ultra saber on the 8th. it still hasn't shipped yet ;-;
in the Christmas season it takes a while because more people order then than on a random day in the year
mine shipped in a week
Has it come yet
They updated to say 2-3 week lead time.
@@pyropunk1013 its still processing
I hope one day, the "blades" would be vibrating and would flicker-react when in contact with any surface/blade. An added plus if the blades are made of high-impact thin telescopic polymer to truly mimic the movies.
Plecter sound cards already do this, and neopixle blades
Proffie, Crystal Focus X, Golden Harvest boards, when combined with pixel blades and Smoothswing, brings the experience of wielding a saber closer than ever before.
Ultrasabers is right here in Texas. So I had support the locals
You forgot about Electrum Sabers. Their also a custom saber company that has some great looking lightsabers
Im planning on getting one from them soon
Which one is best for people that duel strongly?
You forgot one company. I forgot their name and can’t find them now, but it’s good quality sabers, not really decorated though, and only $80. I got one, and it quit working after a few days because I didn’t use the charger that it came with. Like damn, why they gotta be so picky? It’s the same type of charger. Just because it ain’t your product doesn’t mean you can destroy my $80
Nice video! Thanks for the feature :)
That front cover would be nice
Hi, thank you so much for making this great video.. :)
Hi,im looking to buy a cheap but durable saber for dueling.Do you think the $50 one from ultrasaber is good for my first saber?
lol. $50 is not a complete saber..
U R NOT ME ya i know the blade comes seperately
nemesis silver edge just get the $75 mystery if your not worried about looks
Tyton Is there still grab bags?I wish to get a red or purple lightsaber
Yeah I think I saw them on there
Thanks for all the info
I only like ultrasabers because you can duel with them they are also very nice hilts!
Which one company has the best quality saber?
