Yea i love how much hype that content creators generated for Disney. They put so much effort into their videos, theory crafting, anticipating story lines etc. Then disney just walked to the bathroom and let out 3 big old turds. I thought rey and fin and kylo were badass characters and was super excited. I assumed rey was going to get a double sided light saber since she favored a staff in the first movie. Nope, no continuity, no story building, just nonsensical hot ass garbage. So mad.

When I was a child my father made me a lightsaber from a flashlight, some thin white tubing and back then a cap from a 60ml syringe. I didn’t want to tell him I was disappointed because it wasn’t red, blue, or green (I grew up watching the original trilogy over and over) so to me those were the only colours a lightsaber should be. And I was thinking about this now that I have a child who loves StarWars. But I saw a video about Asoka’s lightsabers on a TH-cam video and got back to remembering lightsaber my dad made for me, and I wasn’t disappointed anymore because not knowing it I had one of the rarest lightsaber blades in the StarWars galaxy. I just didn’t know it at the time.
I would definitely use a purple lightsaber as I believe the most well rounded Jedi would use teachings from both the dark and the light side while ultimately remaining balanced in the force, it’s great aswell because it just so happens that Purple is my favourite colour.

White could have 2 meanings 1 it could mean a force user in neutral with the force, not siding with one or the other but just being purely one with the very force itself, puting them in a neutral state and position 2 it could symbolise a return from the darkside of the force, someone who's gone far into the dark side of the force and has managed to successfully return from it and drained their crystal afterwards

I think purple. Rather than try to get rid of any personal "dark side" I would try to control it, harness it, and try to channel it into something better.
It’s depressing seeing how the whole Disney sequel trilogy turned out! Hearing his hopeful voice when he said “do you think Luke will have his green saber in the last Jedi? I hope he does!” The innocence! He didn’t know... it’s just... Least the mandelorian is good. And it appears as though the guys who headed that show are being given the reigns to the rest of the IP. Purple seems like a lightsaber color for force users who can use both light and dark side powers, mace and Revan could both do this and both used purple lightsabers.
Purple is for the jedis that are close to the dark side (in some aspect) and control it. Mace Windu's style of form 7 is one that uses ferocity meaning it was very close to the darkside of the force yet, Mace found a way to use this and control it. Making the variation into a more defensive counter style rather than the intent to kill that that rare and sometimes forbidden form has.

I always liked that whole idea of balance or mixes. In my head mine was always purple or yellow/orange. But I had once imagined a a maroon light saber. This was before the cannon so I imagined I killed sith and put a purple crystal in the sith lightsaber with both crystals. So it was like a reclaimed saber. But what's crazy is I imagined the main bad guy having a black saber before there was one. And it also was black with white light sounding it. It was not shaped like it was in the show but still it was so shocking that to me that it became a thing.

I remember in KOTOR, the color of your initial lightsaber was determined by the specialization you chose as a Jedi. You could be a knight, specializing mainly in lightsaber combat, which was a blue lightsaber, a consular, specializing mainly in force-based abilities, which was a green lightsaber, or a sentinel, which was a balance between the two, which was a yellow lightsaber.

I think there’s probably a likelyhood that an orange lightsaber would have a similar meaning to purple one - a purple lightsaber is a combo of red and blue, so it is a Jedi guardian who harbours a little darkness. I should assume that an orange lightsaber would be yellow and red, meaning a sentinel who has a few dark side tendencies. (When I say guardian and sentinel, i don’t mean they would’ve had to have that role in the order, I’m just using that to describe their abilities). However, if this logic does apply it would mean some unfortunate soul might get a brown lightsaber…. Green + red.

Purple seems like a lightsaber color for force users who can use both light and dark side powers, mace and Revan could both do this and both used purple lightsabers.
It's the perfect lightsaber for Riku (Kingdom Hearts)
Purple is for the jedis that are close to the dark side (in some aspect) and control it. Mace Windu's style of form 7 is one that uses ferocity meaning it was very close to the darkside of the force yet, Mace found a way to use this and control it. Making the variation into a more defensive counter style rather than the intent to kill that that rare and sometimes forbidden form has.

Yellow, straight up my favorite color. Also it would be dank as hell to be part of the group of Jedi that Palatine feared the most.
I always liked that whole idea of balance or mixes. In my head mine was always purple or yellow/orange. But I had once imagined a a maroon light saber. This was before the cannon so I imagined I killed sith and put a purple crystal in the sith lightsaber with both crystals. So it was like a reclaimed saber. But what's crazy is I imagined the main bad guy having a black saber before there was one. And it also was black with white light sounding it. It was not shaped like it was in the show but still it was so shocking that to me that it became a thing.

I remember in KOTOR, the color of your initial lightsaber was determined by the specialization you chose as a Jedi. You could be a knight, specializing mainly in lightsaber combat, which was a blue lightsaber, a consular, specializing mainly in force-based abilities, which was a green lightsaber, or a sentinel, which was a balance between the two, which was a yellow lightsaber.

I think there’s probably a likelyhood that an orange lightsaber would have a similar meaning to purple one - a purple lightsaber is a combo of red and blue, so it is a Jedi guardian who harbours a little darkness. I should assume that an orange lightsaber would be yellow and red, meaning a sentinel who has a few dark side tendencies. (When I say guardian and sentinel, i don’t mean they would’ve had to have that role in the order, I’m just using that to describe their abilities). However, if this logic does apply it would mean some unfortunate soul might get a brown lightsaber…. Green + red.

There is an alternate explanation for red that came from early on. Back during the time when Sith were a large order before Darth Revan, synesthetic crystals were mass manufactured, and that process only could create red ones.
