A very, very happy 77th birthday Peter Paul Cetera. September 13, 1944 Chicago, Illinois. A living legend in rock/pop music. We love Chicago and especially your solo music. Cheers and many, many more Peter Paul.
This masterpiece is one of the few songs I've ever heard that came soooo close to the feeling and knowing of what true love is, all wrapped up in the lyrics, emotion and music of a mere song. So much love and adoration for Peter and Amy in this amazing duet, this is one for the ages, a amazing memory from the 80s and an unforgettable ode to love itself... I will never tire of hearing this song. Thank you for uploading this!
The 80s were the last amazing, breathtaking decade for music and I was born in 76 so these gems were what I heard in my childhood. From an early age I knew that love was stronger than hate and it was because of the 70s, 80s, later I got into the 60s music. America and Canada had the best, but it was worldwide almost. I'm very bitter listening to the classic music knowing it may never come again. Why did the bad guys win?
But you probably didn't notice this song until the 1990s when you were about 10 years old! 🤷?? The music that's the music of your generation was the mid-90s till the early 2000s like 2004! What a beautiful and simple promise.. Next time my heart is prepared to love again, it will be yours.. What a dear and sincere thing to say to someone we care, but just not the right time to take that step.. Although the fact of just saying this it's already a beginning of a real feeling for that someone.
I think I actually fell in love with Amy Grant from this video on MTV in 1986-I was 17, a Junior in High School at the time-as well as this song. Then I “found” her a few years later as part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes in college and fell in love all over again. Peter, his voice, his presence, is timeless! Love being a Child of the 80’s!!
This song entails all the requisite ingredients to launch the glory of love into your the love of your life the place that this song always resonates is at a wedding event, this man voice is of the highest order
Songs to keep listening to and keep forever...the eigties is the emperor and King of Pop music and songs... that can touch anyone ❤️ heart....I grew up in the eighties...I'm still alive and now living in this millennium but the eigties decade is trapped in my heart, mind and soul it can't get out... there's no escape from me neither and i can't escape from that era we are one... God bless the singers from that era they brought the world some of the best and greatest songs of all time.
I miss the 80's real bad. I was in high school. I had my first big crush. To this day I still remember the day I laid eyes on my crush and the class. Thise years of high school will be some of my best years. There's no musis be better than 80's.
It is very beautiful how the lyrics handle very well the sequence in time where the main couple characters "learn" from falling in love so that both will know better what to do... the next time they fall... kinda recursive poetry. Lovely

How it leads me back again
To heartache

'Till the moment was right and I told myself
Next time I fall in love
I'll know better what to do
Next time I fall in love
Ooo ooo ooo ooo ooo ooo
The next time I fall in love
The next time I fall in love
It will be with you
Now as I look into your eyes
Well I wonder if it's wise
To hold you
Like I've wanted to before
Tonight ooo I was thinking that you might
Be the one who breathes life in this heart of mine
Next time I fall in love
I'll know better what to do
Next time I fall in love
Ooo ooo ooo
The next time I fall in love
The next time I fall in love
(It will be with you)
Next time I'm gonna follow through
And if it drives me crazy
I will know better why
The next time I try
Next time I fall in love
I'll know better what to do
Next time I fall in love
Ooo ooo ooo
The next time I fall in love
The next time I fall in love

80's really the best years ever...whole bunch of extra talented people
Not exactly. High interest home loans,AIDS crisis, high unemployment, drug problems aka cocaine and crack epidemic.
@@STMARTIN009 feel sorry for you experienced it that way...for me it was the great years of my youth and it was good to reminisce and just enjoy listening 80's music...admit it ✌☺

Best music

I think I actually fell in love with Amy Grant from this video on MTV in 1986-I was 17, a Junior in High School at the time-as well as this song. Then I “found” her a few years later as part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes in college and fell in love all over again. Peter, his voice, his presence, is timeless! Love being a Child of the 80’s!!
This song entails all the requisite ingredients to launch the glory of love into your the love of your life the place that this song always resonates is at a wedding event, this man voice is of the highest order
Peter Cetera one of the best voices of all times!
Their voices complimented each other beautifully.
Where has Cetera been for last two decades? We miss u Peter!
This song brings me back to my first love, the smell of his Polo cologne, and the fall of '86
@Robert Ross 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 For real!

Can never get enough of Peter Cetera's ballads & hitting those highnotes🎶❤
This is a love song when a point in life you follow your heart.
Yes
I miss the 80's real bad. I was in high school. I had my first big crush. To this day I still remember the day I laid eyes on my crush and the class. Thise years of high school will be some of my best years. There's no musis be better than 80's.
It is very beautiful how the lyrics handle very well the sequence in time where the main couple characters "learn" from falling in love so that both will know better what to do... the next time they fall... kinda recursive poetry. Lovely
Bobby Caldwell's songwriting at its best. :D
Peter Cetera and his music forever
Any time i listen to that song. It blows my mind that was the days of music. The dancing is magical
