I loved this movie as a kid. One of my favourite 80s movies, not to mention this song ❤ Eighties were such a great time to grow up in, so crazy, creative, and fun. I miss that kind of weirdness these days.
Kim Cattrall was so beautiful in this movie and her fashion and makeup style became very popular among women in 20s and 30s after the movie was released. The production team wasn't pleased to choose her because her age (31) seemed old for the 25 year old male character. But she acted amazingly, showing one of the most sexy, loverly & attractive characters in the 80s. Kim worked out and went on a diet to be as streamlined as possible to match the mannequins as closely as she could.
In all fairness, there are scenes in the trailer in which he seems like a little kid close to her; but also she got froze in time for at least the 200s 😉

The HD quality is gorgeous. I've listened to this a million times and it's still amazing. The film hasn't dated either. That's what the 80s felt like for me!
1:03. The first time i heard that part of the song (this song period) was on Brooklyn 99. It was for the most unusual moment I'v ever seen but wholly memorable.
Ah, 1980’s, the era when the movie’s soundtrack sometimes made more money and became more popular than the movie itself.😁 To be fair though, love this movie and of course its soundtrack.✌️
Did you have a poster of her on the ceiling and try looking at it everytime you go to sleep? I do. But mine was a poster under a bunker bed's top bed but I changed it to a Jennifer Connelly poster... or was it Tiffany Thiessen? Man. I love the 80s
I first heard this song when I was in middle school. I just started learning English at the time so I had to look up every single word in a dictionary to understand the lyrics. This song literally sparked my interest in English and helped me improve my language skills over the years. It will always be on my favourite playlist!
Alot of people that grew up in the 80's tell me they wish they could go back to that decade cuz it was just that awesome! I'm lucky enough to have been born in the 80's!

I love this movie as it is one of the best feel-good movies in my opinion. The chemistry between the actors was some of the best at the time: Andrew McCarthy, Kim Cattrall, Meshach Taylor, and Estelle Getty nailed their roles.
80s were just so damn fun, movies, music, the clubs and all the weddings we kids had to go to were THE best, every wedding had the 80s songs , such a blast.

this is my mom song she love this, she passed away 2 weeks ago , i try to rebuild her puzzle now, i understand why she love this movie so much, god i love her, hope she find peace there
I’m so sorry This song will always be a memory of my father since young age, he’s the one that got me into this kinda music. even tho he still alive I always cherish this song and reminds me of him when I don’t see him.
I loved the 80s! Music, movies and fashion. Now some, some I say, hair styles were a bit out there! The 80s dresses "on girls", were awesome and not ugly!
Its strange, im 52 so I was a teen having fun in the 80s and I agree its the best decade I have had so far. Maybe that's because I was young and carefree, but the 80s do seem to stand out for some reason, although people who were teens in the 50s and 60s would probably say the same about those decades too.
I also fell in love with the mannequin and Kim Cattrall. What time was that, to remember is to live. Nothing's Gonna Stop Us is a beautiful, well structured and harmonized song. The guitar solo, although brief, is magnificent. The movie, and the theme of the movie itself, will endure for all time.
This was my one of my favorite movies when I was a kid & I loved this song. My parents took me to a Starship concert too. My first concert ever. Memories
I miss these feel good movies... There were so many cute, family friendly, feel good movies in the 80s & 90s. I agree with the comment here that the media used to make us dream and get away from the chaos in our lives and makes us feel happy.

What an amazing movie. Can't stress enough, loved the 80s. This one, I used to quote some lines, especially the ones from Armand, numerous times, not to mention great actors and great music. Loved this movie and saw it so many times, but also loved the music, and this song is just incredible.
What really makes this movies stand out is the idea that a Shopping Center can be the stage as well as the warehouse for 90% of all movies you wanna shout.
It wasn't just the music, the fashions and the people of the 80's that made it so awesome, it was also the first decade where people could really break the shackles and be free to be themselves and to let loose. It was also a time of innocence where people were so much more genuine, kinder and giving to each other, especially younger people who found their individuality and were not afraid to use their voice and speak up! The 80's will always be considered the best decade of all time and for good reason!
It is so good to know, that there are young people enjoying and appreciating this kind of music still. When I listen to this song, I feel like 16 again.... :)

'83 to '90 was awesome. Really great music. It doesn't get any better. There were some great movie soundtracks including this one.

Back when just about everyone paid for music.
During that time most of the movies throughout the world became famous because of the songs. Even today, we listen to these songs as mind refreshers.
Not to dismiss its box office takings, but the Greatest Showman soundtrack and "reimagined" album were HUGE!!
back when music was art, and you had to be talented to be a musician
Nobody makes emotional films like this now, so sad !!!!

‘80’s teen movies were just sooo much fun. Why don’t they make films like this anymore?
Teens today can't seem to let their hair down and have fun. That's why these Marvel movies have this self-deprecating humour to take the piss.

Its strange, im 52 so I was a teen having fun in the 80s and I agree its the best decade I have had so far. Maybe that's because I was young and carefree, but the 80s do seem to stand out for some reason, although people who were teens in the 50s and 60s would probably say the same about those decades too.
