Krommer is an excellent, giant composer and i like all his music works. His style is just the style which i like to listen to. Thanks for uploading.

It has been a very short time that i am listening to Krommer. All i can say, he is a super giant, brilliant composer. And this concerto has definitely been one of my best favorite concertos. The two clarinetists that i am listening now, are super giant artists as well. Plus, i was listening to a giant orchestra. Everything in this video was superb. Thanks for uploading.

This is a very beautiful work. the interlock of clarinets is so nice !! Like in may works of that time, the weak point is that the tutti uses a great deal of instruments - barsses, timpani - while the solos use only strings pp - at least most often. Even a genius like Weber did not avoid that. We need to look at examples from Mozart at the end of XVIIIth century or Beethoven at the beginning of XIXth to find more integrated examples. But that being said, the works of Krommer are very graceful and deserve to be more widely dissiminated.

Generally, like in Mozart and Beethoven, the strings give a harmonic background to solo parts. Krommer, like Mozart and Beethoven, is exploiting a generic trope of 18th century music and has no deficiency in this regard.
