Id never. Look at the state of that interior. Its an embarassment to pay close to 50k for those seats, a tiny infotainement screen with huge bezels. Its also an embarassment to have that much of grey hard plastic in a 50k car nowadays. That interior is worthy of a sub 30k car. The sound system quality is probably non existant. Then they wonder why they are losing market share to the Chinese..
Love the exterior but the interior is boring and drab. Too much money for lack of quality materials. Kind of like the Corvettes of the past. Flashy sporty exterior with a cheap af interior. I'll wait for at least an interior refresh.
@@Checkmate025it’s not 50k for the one he showed in the video. That was an SE. They should have showcased an XSE. Also, I don’t think they’re wondering anything. Go out and try to buy a used one. These things retain so much value because it’s in high demand. I know because I’ve been trying to buy one for months.
Just bought one, though people say with the money u don't get this, u don't get that.... still the one of the best choices out there.. In Toronto where I am, they r so hard to get, instant sold if there is a new car at any dealer - enough said
Greetings from Greece my friend. Its a pleasure to watch your channel, love your truthful nature, comments + style. Keep it up. I ordered my rav 4 plugin (prime) today.
Some cars are just a great all rounder even if the super rich continue trashing them. Have what we consider a reasonable car in terms of price these that doesn't live at the mechanic or workshop, great fuel consumption and doesn't drink fuel like an alcohol seeing an open bar sign at a wedding is actually brilliant. I know I'm boring and poor but I love this car
3:00 Correction! Not a CVT Transmission. The rav4 prime has a eCVT transmission. Despite sounding almost identical they're completely different. This is a much better transmission! CVTs have a bad rep that's the only reason I felt I needed to point that out in case viewers were hesitant about the car's reliability
We purchased a RAV4 prime in 2022 model SE in March 2022. So far we have 35,000 miles. Our electric range is between 40 to 50 miles. with a depleted battery in hybrid mode average miles per gallon is approximately 45. I consider this excellent for a suv weighing 4550 pounds with me in it and all my fishing gear. AWD as well. If you know of another plug in suv that exceeds that let me know I’ll buy it.
I got a 2021 se model back in August of 2021 because I drive about 100-150 miles a day. I just just got the 100k mile service at the dealership today. Car is running like new. Still have 6mm left on the brake pads. So far I've only done regular maintenance oil, one coolant change, transmission fluid change, air filter replacements and a new set of tires at the 55k mile service. Nothing leaks, or squeeks, no rust, still running on the factory brakes, alignment still perfect. It's pretty amazing. I still get an avg of 48 miles per gallon and the battery charges to about 40 miles of range.
It seems to me that the Euro and Japanese car manfucturers are sticking their head in the sand by keeping the same very outdated interiors and tech while demanding high premiums from the customer. Oblivious to what the Chinese car interiors are providing in terms of high quality and innovation at extremly competitive prices. Those tariffs really are breeding greed, laziness and entitlment. Id say either start taxing those established manufacturers or open the gates to quality Chinese vehicles. Enough is enough.
Chinese quality? What a joke, BYD interiors are only visually good but physically it's rubbish. Especially since there will be a 100% tax so it's no longer affordable
Would you buy a 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime, or hold out for a design change?

I have one and you're right about the interior, but the pros FAR outweigh the cons...
