I was kinda similar, when I was in cadets, we had to test which eye was our dominant eye (form a triangle with ur hand, bring it towards the centre of your eyes, depending on which side it's closer to, is which eye is dominant), my dominant eye was left, but all the weapons were designed right handed (which also means right eye for aiming) which meant that my aim was significantly worse than my peers due to this. I'm semi-ambidextrous (right handed for simple rough control that needs a bit of power, left for stamina and agile control) so depending on what it is I can use wither hand. I typically use my right for writing but my left for cutting, right for aiming, left for lifting, that kinda stuff.

Love the look of the packs app, was wondering if you'd considered making a student edition? With easy 1 person meals, no fancy equipment/ingredients that students aren't likely to have, meals that can be kept in the fridge and reheated easily the next couple of days, meals that don't need you to take over the entire shared kitchen to prepare, etc.?
The pack app looks and sounds great but I must agree that would be nice to have some settings added for just cooking for one and also some settings for people like myself who have type 2 diabetes and I have controlled it successfully for over 20 years with a diet of 65 grams of carbohydrates per meal and also for people like myself who are on blood thinners and we really have to watch our vitamin K intake ie green leafy vegetables, cabbage, broccoli etc. or eat it on a consistent basis like every main meal of the day everyday. And to start doing something like that would mean in my case several trips every month to my doctor to have my INR checked. And unfortunately in the United States we don't have a National Health Service and so our insurance companies dictate how many times a month we can have certain things done test wise. As someone with arthritis, the can & bottle opener is so cool. I especially like the tab opener because trying to open those darn things is just plain painful! And the tortilla press is impressive too. Nice job, guys. 💜
I use a teaspoon on stubborn ring pulls, and that works pretty well, though you do risk bending your spoons a bit on really tough ones. I was still incredibly tempted by that thing though, and if I hadn't just got a specialist arthritis-friendly can opener for Christmas, I would get it.
I liked the idea of it too as I have arthritis. But the jar opener would still be no good for me due to the arthritis being worse in my thumbs. I use a Jar Key, works so easily everytime with no effort at all.

Looks like it actually works, and having all those other openers in an easy to access place justifies taking a bit of space on the counter. Saves a lot of drawer rummaging. 3) Whisk wiper. The wiper's useless itself, but hey, you get a decent whisk. 4) Churro maker. Comes below #3 because you don't get a decent whisk with this one.
@@sarahr7890 a typical test for how difficult products are to use for people that struggle with grip, dexterity, and other things. Loving the tortilla press presentation! Over here in California, it one of the most popular Mexican kitchen tools to have, both in restaurants and home kitchens. They will last you forever and are absolutely worth the effort and memories of making your own tortillas. Edit: Even though the churro gadget seems a bit on the weaker side, I’m still biased towards it and I love the idea haha.
I know what I am getting my son-in-law for his birthday, he just made tortillas for the first time on superbowl Sunday but with no press. He would live this.
I went through chemo a couple of years back that greatly affected my hand strength and co-ordination. That can opener would have been so helpful. Thank you so much for showing why these types of products are so important. Now that I am cancer free and regaining my strength, I want that tortilla press. I think it is useful and beautiful. The whisk wipe can kick rocks.
"I think you should look down the lens and tell Evie and Finn they can't have family-friendly churros tonight" I'm pretty sure Jamie was sizing up the throwability of the pot of hot oil next to him in response to that.

Fun hack if you dont have a tortilla press, or if you dont want to store it. Cut a big freezer ziploc on two sides so you can easily open it and put the tortilla ball inside. Reusable for ages. I actually asked for a tortilla press one year for my birthday and I love it. I will admit, no I don't use it a lot, but that's just because I prefer to make a bunch of tortillas in bulk and then freeze the rest to use for later. It's also a multipurpose tool if you're smart about it! I have used mine to make dumpling wrappers (both pirogues and bao) and I've made dough for hand pies and empanadas. It just makes it so much faster than rolling out by hand. Another bonus is that just like tortillas you can freeze the dumplings and empanadas to heat up later. It's great for anyone who likes to meal prep.

the starfrit top lifting can openers are good for lefties. When he got back I made him do it left handed with both can openers only for him to end with an 'oh' (in retrospect I understand his logic in taking mine because the type I had doesn't leave sharp edges so for camping and needing to carry back your can's to dispose of them properly its safer)

When Jamie said “try being left-handed mate”, I felt that ...
I'm with ya Jamie

Ohmygoodness - completely😆
I would commiserate with a left hand emoji *IF I HAD ONE!!*
Ben is the very definition of "too smart for his own good". I bet the word 'precocious' was bandied about a lot when he was a child XD
as well as "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious".
To be honest, I would genuinely like a magnet on my regular can opener.
They exist. I love mine 😁
They used to all have them...
I found this channel a while back and subscribed. And like with all channels, once they get repetitive I unsub... but not with this one. I could watch every single video on loop mode and never get tired. The quality of the production is outstanding, the content is on par but the best thing about the channel is their friendship. There's no weak link here, all 5 of them bring their own flavour to the table and you miss anyone of them when they are not in the video. It's an absolute joy to see them. I fear that maybe one day a TV channel might persuade them to go to their platform and leave youtube. I wish them the very best and hope that they never stop doing these videos because I would really miss them. Thank you very much for the good times!
I was really hoping for the pun on Mike's, when Barry says, "probably not a door though," in regards to what it opens, with the pun being "...if the door's ajar"
This made me realize that not everyone grew up with a tortilla presser. On that sentiment, that was an extremely expensive tortilla presser.
I've seen ones like that for five dollars at a garage sale... Guessing there made in the Americas, shipping cast iron to the UK probably isn't cheap.

When I am having a really bad time of things I always rewatch videos like these. Silly, fun but informative. You peeps have helped me improve my skills, knowledge and confidence in the kitchen by so much. I recommend your channel to so many people especially those who come into the cafe where I work.
I know this is an old post from a year ago I have been binge watching your channel since I've discovered it. A great channel and a great job guys!
as a spaniard i feel i have to say that the british seem to be on a mission to redefine what churros are... i keep seeing baked churros, waffle-ironed churros, rolled churros -- churros are deep fried dough. like, the name is literally onomatopoetic from the sound of the oil sizzling. they're like funnel cakes -- batter piped into hot oil. anything else is just a long thing churro-shaped object. thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Damn, that gadget really can do everything.
@@cazzioc Yes! The Jar key is so good isn't it! I almost wanna send them one 😅😂

Needs to be made of metal though.
I really really want the guys to know that a tortilla press is also great at making smash burgers. It would have been a prime opportunity for some cheeseburger quesadillas
Ranked:
1) Tortilla press, obviously. Not even Barry could admit that it belonged in this contest. It's like someone bringing a chef's knife as a gadget.
2) Can opener set.
I heard "dexterity issues" and all I thought was, left-handed oil test!
What's that?

Fun hack if you dont have a tortilla press, or if you dont want to store it. Cut a big freezer ziploc on two sides so you can easily open it and put the tortilla ball inside. Reusable for ages. Then use the largest pot or pan you have and evenly apply pressure. Works pretty well for me. And I end up with a brand from the bottom of the pan in the center of my tortillas, so they are super unique.

Just have to comment and THANK YOU, for mentioning that things could be useful for various disabilities. It means SO MUCH to hear disabilities referenced in such a normal way.

I've never related more to Jamie than when he expressed his struggle of opening a can left handed 😔
the starfrit top lifting can openers are good for lefties. I got into a literal fight with my roommates at one time because one left off camping took my can opener and then said "what's the big deal?- there is still one in the drawers" and I had to explain it was not left handed and he argued there was no such thing as a right or left handed can opener. When he got back I made him do it left handed with both can openers only for him to end with an 'oh' (in retrospect I understand his logic in taking mine because the type I had doesn't leave sharp edges so for camping and needing to carry back your can's to dispose of them properly its safer)
