Great Idea!, Only suggestions I would have are to maybe add another board over the top (Camera is looking like a good perch for critters) and to take a few extra steps to protect the cabling. Ither PVC or Wire Loom (Maybe also provide a small 'drip loop' for the power line near the back of the camera direct any moisture away from the plug port.) Looking forward to seeing some cool animal footage in the future!
I would get some 1/2" PVC pipe to feed your charging wire through or even a piece of garden hose, better than nothing...little animals love chewing through wire. Some spikes on top of the 2X4 and camera will help with the bird s*it - a good perch you have provided, green camo paint would be good also.
7:53 looking at this right here I would envision a cover like a hat over the top and down the sides not enough to block the view of the camera or it's working put to protect it just saying!
What level of cell service does the camera have on your property? My wife and I are looking for a setup similar to this but we have 2 bars of LTE on our property.
It does work with almost all animals, it just comes up as "pet has been spotted".... which is kind of funny when it's bears, bobcats, deer, etc that trigger the camera lol
It depends on what service you go with. If you go with EIOT Club it ranges from around $5-$150 depending on which plan you go with and how much data you want. :)
If you run it on 4G LTE it needs to be connected by a sim card with a data plan, and yes you can connect it to a smart phone and view it through the app. Hope that helps! :)
Thanks for sharing your video. How far away is your wi-fi to cameras. We just bought 3 acres in rural California (town with less than 1k population exsist in Cali USA) Our country driveway is equivelent to two suburb blocks. I would like to install a camara over looking the first gate. Our cellphone service is not good here unless we are near the wi-fi (inside the house) Do you have a wi-fi extender? I am still working things out. Your video gives me hope. MountainAngel
If you used a wifi repeater/extender I think it should work. You need either wifi service or cell service so as long as you have one of them you'll be good to go! :)
Those pictures of the wildlife were amazing!
Thank you!! It's really wild out here!

We have okay cell service. I think 2 bars should work theoretically but I'm not totally sure.
Love it
Thank you!! :)
Do you think they'll make an update to notify on animals?

will yours track animals. mine only does human and vehicles
Yes you can track animals. You just have to change the settings in the app. :)
Hi how much does it cost for the monthly service including clouds if you don't mind thank you

Nice 👍
Thank you!!
But.... the bears
Does it need data or can it connect to a smart phone and view live?
