I met UG many time in Bengaluru. One does not feel, he does not care. That is the reason he puts effort to talk to us. Otherwise, UG seems to emerge out of his beingness to our world every moment he needed to interact with us. I have seen him care by distributing candies and chocolates to visitors advising about legal, political, financial and personal matters and so on

Honesty is the most important aspect but "try to be happy" is bullshit. If you give someone that advice they will lie to themselves tehir whole lives because happiness isnt elsewhere, it is here. All these religions and gurus, even the man in the video have contributed to the false idea that happiness is elsewhere. Even if he didn't mean it, by speaking and using words which are interpreted by the dirty lens of other human beings, he has contributed. We all contribute. Even he admitted this. No matter how honest he is, how hard he tried to shake this illusion off you, it can never be done by someone else.
We are the mind, and the mind can only create theories and ideas (illusions) therefore any act that we do contributes to the illusory.
But you're right, it's non-sense to worry about all that. There is nothing "I" can do about it. It's only when the "I" drops and the doing drops that it happens. But the "I" cannot drop itself. Therefore any action we do is still in the wrong direction.

Although, UG demolishes logic, the explanations sound more logical than normal.
In a particular ancient tradition Indian tradition aAmong the multitude of Guru-Shishya traditions), the Guru encourages to counter the traditional explanations. Because, countering convincingly means either the disciple has 'attained' the same degree or gone beyond. That's when the Guru's effort reaches fruition.

If you mix the letters of a word the intended word may not be there, yet by the programming you can make out the word. But letters and words do not existing. They are all ideas/thoughts

He says he is genetically programmed to be ruthlessly honest . Strange self aggrandisement. This is dishonesty. He questions everyone else except himself. He condemns all others except himself. This is the worst form of dishonesty. Many things were explained in the past. Those who have no knowledge of such things will find UG as saying something new. Nirguna brahma can never be understood nor explainable with any manifest awareness . Every Highest teaching will conclude with this Awe of unknowability. UG always quotes the semi literate gurus to strengthen his arguments . It shows his own lack of enthusiasm in accepting all the truths mentioned time immemorial . No mental logic or concept or language is suitable enough to Know the Absolute. The highest logic possible for any mortal mind will only lift him to a level of AWE of unknowability. This is the point where all theories , logics and teachings will have to stop and are devoid of any value. To reach at least dialectically to that point we certainly need a rational logic to cross all our ignorant concepts of existence. Upto this point we can share knowledge and experiences. After that all are in the untroden territory. Teachers and teachings cease to exist. UG was wasting his time fighting against those illeterate gurus. In this attempt he lost greater truths already thoroughly and mercilessly explained with the conclusion that we ever remain ignorant of the Absolute. Unkowabilty is its nature and complexity . That doesn't mean that it is beyond experience . In our most natural state it should be experiensable. It has no intention of hiding itself . It is the whole and we are the parts. By nature one.
He questions himself to the point that he will say he doesn't even know what a microphone is....

True, but many times, in relation with those type of questions, about life and meaning and philosophy and spirituality and all that, people have fixed views or "answers" that they need to solidify, so their questions that they throw to UG are not "sincere" questions or innocent questions like "what's the weather today". Deep down, even unconsciously, they have already an answer for themselves, an idea, and they just want to entertain themselves with not pure honest questions, with an open and naked mind

You are true . He was concentrating on criticising other ignorant . In this attempt exposing his own ignorance . He stubbornly tries to show the falasies in others but ignores his own fallacious concepts. He should conclude by saying we all are fools including himself. He shouldn't attempt to act as though he found a solution for the problem. Because none knows the problem. Why should we argue about the solution without knowing the problem. If UG had explaied the problem first then attempted at criticising the wrong solutions would have given new light .
your brain and knowledge looking for some answers through these objects but there is no question. so how there can be an answer. so you are in the loop it will not end until you disillusionize the concept of knowledge and brain and materialism. see for what it really is. stop concentrating and stop looking with your narrow vision truth comes to you naturally and you don't try looking for it. stop trying truth comes slowly and gradually truth is not your computer which you can command and control. the truth is like beautiful girl you need to entertain the girl and love her before you can make out with her and you can only make out with her if she lets you no force no concentration allow slowly and gradually and seize the moment.

There is surely a way to be aware of the state of sleep also. It happens many times. A person can narrate the sequence of events in their mind and body they witnessed during sleep once they wake up. They consciously avoid dreams.
Whatever be U.G's insights, I would respect him if he did something for either his family or for someone else.That is a criterion to judge someone's worth.

That's a socially established criteria no? Plus, I don't think he was even interested in being deemed worthy of something. That's the state of not being entrapped in your own ego. I don't think there is a criteria to judge someone else's worth at all. Like Osho said, there is no way for an outsider to judge the actions of a fool from that of a wise one. There are many who have done charity while their personal lives were a mess. There are many who only care about their family and no one else. It's all divisive.
All that matters is self honesty. Be honest to yourself and your actions will be true and whole.
He is wrong that "you can't know 'what is'"! What is is the mirage. You can't know the mirage until you see which casting it out. So, who is behind the what is? Well. If you know, you will be blessed! And for that you need strong Faith which only few handful of men done on this planet!

J Krishnamurti explained it well. You cannot "know what is" because knowing stems only from memory which a function of our brain making assertions about something we saw in the past, and therefore this is illusory.
There is only what is, and when you are present, there is no knowing it, there is just living it.
Sometimes, by surprise, a great beautiful view sucks the "i" and it's problems out momentarily. As such, we are free to look without labelling.

If I say there is silence you will say it is the conditioned response. It is free of the surrounding. It is an "expressionless" state. Even though there are all kinds of things which are happening around you, it (silence ) is not touched by them. A dog doesn't always look out of emptiness. When it sees a cat it runs after it. Does it mean it has a programmed hate towards the cat? If I tackle you, you will respond according to your conditioning.
