    Key points of UG:
    1. Cause and effect
    2. Action and Response is a unitary movement
    3. Human beings function same and no different from animals
    4. Self conscious is a result of thought
    5. Human body is a machine and there is no existence of soul, consciousness, compassion, spiritual and so on

    I'm no different from these people that came to sit at UG's feet. The current misery in my life is based whole-heartedly around my avoidance of uncomfortable situations. Listening to this man is another form of avoidance. There's a literal dopamine kick a lot of us get from "insight". I've conned myself into thinking there's a nugget of insight in this that will mend my broken heart. It's not going to work, there's no escape. All this is, is entertainment. I just have to sit here and be miserable. You just have to let the chips fall where they may in life.

      Very well said. A part of me disagrees with this, but there is also a part of me that believes listening is crucial. Listening to him is very important to unidentify the identifications that have been developed through social conditioning since the time we were born, in addition to the dopamine rush from the insights. No amount of hearing his words is more, given the amount of conditioning we continuously receive from our environment.
      Any thoughts, please?

      We all get a hand when we come into this world: some get a full house, others a pair of twos, some others, a high card alone. You play your hand the best way you can by knowing your self deeply. And eventually knowing others (after life shows you - by a good number of kicks in the ass - the illusory nature of our perceptions based on our own wants, thus projections of self onto others). The way out is in. At the very core is purity of emotions. Purity of self. Self-awareness vs self-consciousness. Thought and emotion are one movement. Once you get there, your mind will be blown. You will finally BE what it is that you really are. No guarantees.

      I suddenly came upon this Natural State about 35 years ago. It is exactly as UG describes it, although it defies description. For want of communication, we have to say "describe " or "experience ". It is simply a stroke of luck. The problem is that it is thought to be attainable only for a select few. If you could transcend the religious connotations, you can see truth for exactly what it is. UG steadfastly refused to talk of an afterlife. This is because he realised that there's only life and time does not exist. As I type these letters, even in a place a billion light years away, it is now. When I fell into the State, I was asked one question. "if you were not born, would you know " . I answered yes.

      He actually literally believes he had a “clinical death”. This is why he’s so adamant about not talking about his past, before the bolt of metaphorical lightning that led to his physical body actually dying. Yet, he says death of the body is not real- that nature reorganizes atoms. So nature reorganized his atoms perfectly to recreate his functioning body after this death? I resonate with his teachings and think he’s really onto something, but experiencing a clinical death and rebirth with the same body, without any influence from medical intervention, is quite ridiculous. He also somehow has an answer for everything, including when he contradicts himself- each moment is somehow “independent of the one before it”, which somehow makes it okay to contradict himself… and simultaneously he’s right? This philosophy of his is not the one to cling to. He provides an impossible way to proceed unless you agree our species is truly doomed. He says he’s not negative, yet says the apocalypse is inevitable. He’s a slippery, intelligent personality who found a way to win with logic, while denying logic. He also literally thinks he’s a 1 in a billion kind of person. He “has no ego” while believing his clinical death and rebirth makes him a 1 in a billion person. Hmmmmmmm…..denying the meaning of any words makes it easy to say you have no ego.

    What would you guys recommend as UG's best book or expression of him. I believe I was transformed in some way, when he spoke of being in your natural state, or "enlightened".I always thought enlightenment would mean "a better person" as opposed to what I discovered which is "the real you" and morality has nothing to do with it. I believe what he's saying is "enlightenment" doesn't mean you all of a sudden become a morally superior being, you just become who you "naturally" are? In other words, if you in your heart, have never wanted to be faithful or married, " enlightenment" is when this is revealed, and you become who you are -and free- by accepting that, and living your life as such, regardless of it implications good or bad? Is that it?

      There are only 2 ways to enlightenment. Physical death or death of your self whilst still in this body. You instantly become that which you were. "were" is misleading as it denotes time, as if you are something now, and that you "become" something else. That's not it.
      You are already "that". You cannot become something that you already are. This is the very unsatisfactory truth. You have been conditioned to 'believe " in things by religions that cunningly offer you salvation. Religions convince you that there's good and bad. You will be punished or rewarded according to your actions and so on. That's the way the stupid "god fearing " are manipulated. God is you.

    I'd find it an unlikely coincidence if a man immersed himself in spiritual studies from the time he was a small child and then coincidentally happened to have a major metaphysical or whatever experience like that in spite of it. It happened because of it, sorry, I don't know why he's compelled to say it was in spite of. I don't see that that takes anything away from it either. But I get that for whatever reason, he disavows the spiritual studies. I do kind of understand, because of my loathing of poetry and the poetry world and poets, after I've written and obsessed over writing poetry for more than 30 years. I think there's something parallel there, but from an outsider's perspective I'm looking at UG and thinking his spiritual studies must have led to his experiences, just like my immersion in poetry led me to hate it but also to be who I am. Love the videos so much, always, thank you for sharing them!

    Tje fear he talks about and the cobra its true. If you ingest psilocybin mushrooms in some instances animals who would otherwise be agressive sense your true fearlessness and it difuses them. Also He did say in another video that he was fortunate enough to be born into money. He didn't shy from admiting that. Also in his youth he was penniless traveling through europe and hungry. I think everyone should experience that in his life at one point. At least once. Be homeless for a few days and broke. Why? I dont know. Maybe because i feel that people who have never experienced that tend to be a bit more delusional about life than others who have.

      all of these answers are wrong. It is because "you" are fear, the ego is fear based, and what it fear is the end of itself, so the end of fear is the end of you. When you no longer fear your own end, the "you" come to an end.

    how can UG say that if this was to happen to someone else it would be something totally different from him because the background of the viewers are all different? I thought UG said before that his background had absolutely nothing to do with what happened to him, that he just stumbled upon it... I suppose I guess he means that it is impossible to pass it onto somebody, to imitate him hence this experience would have to be unique if someone else was to experience it

      I think he means, how it happened to him is what makes it impossible to give because it's uniquely designed for him, meaning if it happens to you, it would be uniquely assigned to you.:)

    if as UG claims he is talking from as he calls it his "natural way of being where the body is freed from the stranglehold of thoughts, how can UG then communicate some many of his thoughts with us? Doesn't he say that it is impossible for anyone in that state to even know you are in that state, so can you even articulate anything...?

    • @bikashghimire9641
      @bikashghimire9641 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      be content realizing stranglehold of thought is the cause for suffering means to be free from that once and for all. It doesn’t mean it is not there but it is functioning itself without effort.

      The thoughts are still there but don't have the power to form and direct the actions anymore. So in a way what is said and what is done isn't necessary compatible all the time because of this realization which is precieved by many as self contradiction. I would say it is the same with everybody, realized or not. We do things and then rationalize them with thoughts to minimize the inner conflict . We just want to *believe* / *think* otherwise. :)

    Was UG an Atheist?

    • @krissifadwa
      @krissifadwa 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No, he never cared. A bit into his early or late 40s, he completely stopped caring over an idea if a God exists or not. So he could not have been an atheist. As yet, many of his colleagues, friends, etc - they often claimed that U.G. was an agnostic (and sometimes nihilist) but from an early audio recording of his, he mentions that "God is irrelevant."
      Hence, the human species cannot ever fathom what "this incredible force" is with only our little humanistic way of thinking. U.G. has said, on more than one occasion that human beings and thought or intellect are completely separate, whilst thought is what we think we need to rely on to live as a species, which is biologically untrue. In other words; the body can exist without the need of thoughts, not the other way around. So if this is the case; and humans are roaming the planet, without an intellect, living out in the wild, surviving like wild animals, through biological and neurological instinct... what would be the point of bickering back and forth on the idea if a god exist or not? No point.
      For that, it's impossible to label U.G. into a sort of dogmatic belief or believer. For human beings in a mob. What's a mob to a king? What's a king to a god? But what's a god to a non-believer that does not believe in anything? U.G. is the non-believer. He's not attached to any beliefs. He doesn't care for them. He is free... like a newborn baby. The baby is a non-believer that doesn't know or care to know about a concept that revolves around beliefs. The baby is just in the moment, unaware of what a moment even is. Everything U.G. is conveying doesn't need a "belief." What he rambles about, over and over, has nothing to do with time and space, yet it's also why he never seems bored of repeating himself. What he talks of is based on one moment, while religiosity, many religions, cults, dogma, activist groups, terrorists, government, political parties, other groups or subgroups, they are based on a time construct... He's just pointing at the most obvious thing of our species, which is really not a big deal. Which is the reason behind why he always says "I'm just a dog barking." or "You live in hope, so you'll die in hope." due to living in chronological time.
      Thought, intellect, mind, or ego; these things will not let humans understand what U.G. is pointing at. The downside to this is, there is nothing to see. Due to this, that makes many of U.G.'s followers believe that what there is to see has to be something that is an enormous realization, when it is not, because of us searching for it through a time construct. But, to answer your simple question; no, U.G. was not an atheist.

    31. He who is forgetful of the Self, mistaking the physical body as being it, and goes through innumerable births seeking his Self, is like one who wanders all over the world in a dream. Thus, realising the Self would only be like waking up from the dream-wanderings
    21. He who turns inward with an untroubled mind to search where the consciousness "I" arises, realises the Self, and rests in That, like a river when it joins the ocean.
