Seems like a lot of work and money for a bike that has a bullet-proof electric start. Plus a person could just carry a little back-up jump starter. I enjoy my XR150l and have never had a problem starting it, but to each his own.
did you have to order a new right side engine cover since the hole for the kick start shaft hasn't bee machined out? Or do you plan on having your crank case cover drilled and bored to install the kick start shaft and corresponding oil seal?

I bought the side cover that has the hole for the kickstarter, It was like $165, so you could save on the coversion if you can do that work yourself.
