13:46 - you had to put Slide template on your curve template, where is a small triangle notch, and you would just run around the obstacle. Car model movement happens only at movement phase end, so do not move it until then :)
I have piles of air cooled VW Hot Wheel cars, and the Gaslands book is very inexpensive. I think I need to pick up the book, raid the bits bins and the cars, and scratch that Car Wars itch.
Great game, keep making videos, love this game! I did catch some mistakes, but you nailed the essence of the game :D And for the love of god, get a dicetray! I get terrified each time you roll dice! ;) Maybe turn down the volume of the effects a bit, they seem quite high compared to the speech :) The errors I caught :) The individual cars don't have a sponsor, it's the whole team, not that it mattered at all. The width of the starting line is the amount of players, so one of the cars in front should be in the back. When doing skid checks you may roll up to your handeling, up to being keyword here ;) The correct order of activation, choose template, place template, roll dice, resolve dice then move the car. You can't resolve spins when you hit something. You don't drop gear for hitting obstacles, only when a whipeout happens :) Whipeout happens at the end of each activation, not the end of a gear phase. Destructible obstacles disappear immediately, and you then continue your movement. When you suffer a collision you choose what to do, smash or evade. When the T-bone happend you could have declared double evade and only gained one hazard on each car :) Regardless, if one chooses smash you both suffer 2 hits (And yeah, you completely forgot to resolve the collision ;)
You guys freakin Rock, That board is amazing!!!!! I just picked up Gas Lands and I can't wait to play it I just need to find out where or how to make or get weapons and stuff to kit out my vehicles...any suggestions?

Can you believe I scratch-built them out of the scrap mdf box that contained oranges from Aldi - I just drew on it, chopped out the shapes and then sawed it up :)

I have began to see a pattern in the game, namely performance cars are always ahead of everybody else bcs you can't catch them and they win games. So can we say performance cars are the Meta? :)

I haven't played the game at all, but I would guess it would depend on the scenario you're playing? For a race, yeah I would think high-performance would trump, but if playing something like a battle or destruction derby, I would think the trucks would be a lot more effective. Which makes sense ... trying to race porches with trucks probably isn't the best idea, lol! (unless maybe the tires come into play, if racing in wet weather or ice/snow?)

The only way to gain more ammo tokens is by using the "Reload" audience vote feature, which grants you 1 ammo token for 1 particular weapon.
24:00 Destructible Obstacle: the vehicle could have resolved the Collision with a smash reaction, removed the obstacle (picking up hazards), and then continued from it's Interrupted Final Position to it's Final Position at the end of the movement template (thus moving Through the obstacle instead of stopping there and continuing in the next movement step)
22:00: "the wipeout comes at the end of the gear phases". .. "Gaslands Refueled" defines the wipeout step as the last step in any vehicle activation steps. So at the end of each vehicle's gear phase resolution. Not at the end of all vehicle activations in the gear phase.

Am I right in saying that because your truck was stuck in first gear after gear phase 1, he couldn't do anything in gear phase 2? But in the video you do a swerve.

I would probably have to play Gaslands to get a feel for it but from watching people play it seems like there is just a lot of work to take each turn with the templates and such. Other than that i'm a big fan of the post apocalyptic mad max theme. Also been really enjoying the Deadzone bat reps as I play deadzone often.

Right, good to know! We weren't using any of the extra rules like team bonuses or perks. Next game we'll do something a little more in depth.

All the terrain was scratch built from mdf scraps; cardboard; barriers from decorative wooden beading; and left over things from the bits box :)
