I'm simply comparing the two most popular NON-CANON versions of the two characters, terra series Saitama vs Xeno Goku, so stop complaining and saying dumb crap like "you need to use non canon Saitama just to beat Goku." Debunking Terra 3.
So a lot of people (and I mean a lot) have been saying that this version of cosmic garou is somehow, someway beyond the tiering system (which is false, and I’ll later prove why). But the thing is, most of what Garou said was hyperbole. This can be shown when he was talking about becoming one with the universe (that’s literally just universal). And von Neumann’s universe does have a hierarchical set, but it doesn’t relate here with the fan-made manga. Garou didn’t even go over the complexities of the von Neumann universe at all. Pretty much what he said was that the universe is beyond infinity and that von Neumann’s universe is a “universal” universe. Which is again, just universal. You could argue that it’s high universal (because Garou said that it surpasses mortal cognition), but for the sake of keeping the debunk concise and consistent, we’re just going to say it’s universal (because that’s simply what Garou said).
The next thing I think I should debunk is Garou saying he erased all concepts of time and space. Now erasing concepts is conceptual erasure (pretty sure everyone knows that), but that doesn’t necessarily make Garou Outerversal or whatever, it Just means that he is capable Of erasing concepts and Its value . And this should be pretty Simple and obvious to understand. The only way to know that Garou is indeed Outerversal , is by confirming with the canon and the Author himself (and the manga never explicitly stated that Garou is Above the concept of Time or space) .
I’m now going to go over Garou’s attacks and his destruction capacity. So it’s made clear to the reader that he has dimensional attacks, as shown in his fight against Saitama numerous times . Like when he did the “dimensional blow”, which compresses everything into a 0-dimensional void. Which is insane, but that’d just mean he has dimensional interactive powers and such , not that he’s freaking Outer or something. He can also divide the universe into endless lines, each with its own number in a hierarchical pattern, but really he’s just manipulating the universe, which is, again, just universal.
The universe then starts unraveling, showing its true size and identity, as endless lines reveal the fabric of the universe . Which, like I said (probably) is insane… but to be honest, it doesn’t reach anywhere near what people hype that feat up to be. As he’s simply compressing everything into a 0 dimensional void. The next thing I want to cover is Garou’s ability to change a being’s entire setting or concept. This just means that he can change a person’s entire setting, which doesn’t really scale anywhere (it’s just another hax that can be overpowered by higher dimensionality).
Garou also stated that “the concept of mankind will cease to exist”, which implies that he has conceptual erasure or high level destruction, which is very commendable and respectable. However, this doesn’t even get him past mankind level, since he was just going to erase the idea of man. Anyone who isn’t of man wouldn’t be affected. This implies the fact that his conceptual erasure is pretty limited , he can’t use it to its full extent , and even if he could it’d only work when he used the full power of the universe . So this Means that he Can’t really use it consistently, and it isn’t something he can regularly do.
Moving forth , I’m going to talking about the “timeline strike” ability. So the timeline strike ability, like its name suggests, is an ability in which the user is able to combine timelines and stack them continuously. This doesn’t prove, or even necessitate any logical Truth that Garou transcends these timelines. Because just Manipulating timelines isn’t going to cut it . If you really think about it, That’s just time Manipulation, which is just a hax that doesn’t affect his attack potency or some other Kind of way. You have to Prove that Garou is superior to these timelines Directly from a reputable Source and a credible one at that. Then Garou proceeds to put up some vague and mysterious looking portal that Saitama causally Breaks through , which is humorous and figurative at best, because there is no confirming evidence that Proves any dimensionality within that portal . It’s vague at best, and there needs to be surrounding evidence that Proves or supports the space getting past 3-dimensional. The spatial cut technique is also 3-dimensional. As there is no further context or information that gets it past that at all. It is, again, a vague ability without any confirmation that it gets past even 3-dimensional.
Saitama then proceeds to play with Garou by taking out his speaker box, and then rewriting Garou’s speech. Which scales nowhere, because it’s Non physical interaction . And i truly think that the author made this fan-made manga for shits and giggles & Power shenanigans and whatnot. Which means that it can be classified as an oc fallacy (possibly) , because there’s surrounding Evidence supporting such. There is really no reason to go in-depth about V-logic and ZFC like that . Especially when Saitama interacted with something no one should be able to interact with.
And that’s the debunk! If you have any contentions , then point out why some of my arguments were wrong according to you, and we can discuss why . But despite all of that, I hope you learned something from my debunk of T3 Garou. Peace.
Edit : Regarding the scan where there was A bunch of cardinals and Von Neumann’s universe model. The inaccessible Cardinal being there doesn’t mean that Garou’s high outer . It’s pretty obvious that the Author’s intent was to make Saitama and Garou as Op as possible, and that falls under o.c fallacy. That’s because there was a lot of hyperbole and Op shit for literally no reason whatsoever . For example, Garou stating that he erased all concepts of time and space, even though their attacks were still physical . There shouldn’t be any Physical attack being made in a place with No concept of time and space. That’s simply illogical and it doesn’t add up to any consistency.

This gets paradoxical by the fact that those are mathematical, thus leading them to exist as abstract notions, the Von Neumann Universe is a physical structure here, this is a contradiction because an object cannot encompass something that has an higher existence then it, in simpler words, two completely opposite structures (physical object and abstract/mathematical aspect) cannot exist on the same plane so they can't be scaled as a singularity.

They bring up "OC fallacy" because lets say the original charatcer isn't capable of beating one character want him to beat. In this instance that can be Saitama vs Goku. Then *someone* makes a story around the character than mainly focuses on ridiculous power and then say that the character (mostly they don' specify, but) easily beats the other (original) character. This gets people pissed and tried to scold others that they have to make up events for the character to be far stronger than original. And considering that anyone can just make or write something to make the character ridiculously powerful, then i get how it's abit annoying when dealing with the (more deranged side of the) fandom.
This Saitama is strong and all, but it just seems to me to only have the purpose of the creator of the manga to just make Saitama and perhap garou the strongest. Even using powerscaling terms and dimensionality, concepts etc. That makes it abit wierd, but overall it's well made. So a lot of people (and I mean a lot) have been saying that this version of cosmic garou is somehow, someway beyond the tiering system (which is false, and I’ll later prove why). But the thing is, most of what Garou said was hyperbole. This can be shown when he was talking about becoming one with the universe (that’s literally just universal). And von Neumann’s universe does have a hierarchical set, but it doesn’t relate here with the fan-made manga. Garou didn’t even go over the complexities of the von Neumann universe at all. Pretty much what he said was that the universe is beyond infinity and that von Neumann’s universe is a “universal” universe. Which is again, just universal. You could argue that it’s high universal (because Garou said that it surpasses mortal cognition), but for the sake of keeping the debunk concise and consistent, we’re just going to say it’s universal (because that’s simply what Garou said).
The next thing I think I should debunk is Garou saying he erased all concepts of time and space. Now erasing concepts is conceptual erasure (pretty sure everyone knows that), but that doesn’t necessarily make Garou Outerversal or whatever, it Just means that he is capable Of erasing concepts and Its value . And this should be pretty Simple and obvious to understand. The only way to know that Garou is indeed Outerversal , is by confirming with the canon and the Author himself (and the manga never explicitly stated that Garou is Above the concept of Time or space) .
I’m now going to go over Garou’s attacks and his destruction capacity. So it’s made clear to the reader that he has dimensional attacks, as shown in his fight against Saitama numerous times . Like when he did the “dimensional blow”, which compresses everything into a 0-dimensional void. Which is insane, but that’d just mean he has dimensional interactive powers and such , not that he’s freaking Outer or something. He can also divide the universe into endless lines, each with its own number in a hierarchical pattern, but really he’s just manipulating the universe, which is, again, just universal.
The universe then starts unraveling, showing its true size and identity, as endless lines reveal the fabric of the universe . Which, like I said (probably) is insane… but to be honest, it doesn’t reach anywhere near what people hype that feat up to be. As he’s simply compressing everything into a 0 dimensional void. The next thing I want to cover is Garou’s ability to change a being’s entire setting or concept. This just means that he can change a person’s entire setting, which doesn’t really scale anywhere (it’s just another hax that can be overpowered by higher dimensionality).
Garou also stated that “the concept of mankind will cease to exist”, which implies that he has conceptual erasure or high level destruction, which is very commendable and respectable. However, this doesn’t even get him past mankind level, since he was just going to erase the idea of man. Anyone who isn’t of man wouldn’t be affected. This implies the fact that his conceptual erasure is pretty limited , he can’t use it to its full extent , and even if he could it’d only work when he used the full power of the universe . So this Means that he Can’t really use it consistently, and it isn’t something he can regularly do.
Moving forth , I’m going to talking about the “timeline strike” ability. So the timeline strike ability, like its name suggests, is an ability in which the user is able to combine timelines and stack them continuously. This doesn’t prove, or even necessitate any logical Truth that Garou transcends these timelines. Because just Manipulating timelines isn’t going to cut it . If you really think about it, That’s just time Manipulation, which is just a hax that doesn’t affect his attack potency or some other Kind of way. You have to Prove that Garou is superior to these timelines Directly from a reputable Source and a credible one at that. Then Garou proceeds to put up some vague and mysterious looking portal that Saitama causally Breaks through , which is humorous and figurative at best, because there is no confirming evidence that Proves any dimensionality within that portal . It’s vague at best, and there needs to be surrounding evidence that Proves or supports the space getting past 3-dimensional. The spatial cut technique is also 3-dimensional. As there is no further context or information that gets it past that at all. It is, again, a vague ability without any confirmation that it gets past even 3-dimensional.
Saitama then proceeds to play with Garou by taking out his speaker box, and then rewriting Garou’s speech. Which scales nowhere, because it’s Non physical interaction . And i truly think that the author made this fan-made manga for shits and giggles & Power shenanigans and whatnot. Which means that it can be classified as an oc fallacy (possibly) , because there’s surrounding Evidence supporting such. There is really no reason to go in-depth about V-logic and ZFC like that . Especially when Saitama interacted with something no one should be able to interact with.
And that’s the debunk! If you have any contentions , then point out why some of my arguments were wrong according to you, and we can discuss why . But despite all of that, I hope you learned something from my debunk of T3 Garou. Peace.
Edit : Regarding the scan where there was A bunch of cardinals and Von Neumann’s universe model. The inaccessible Cardinal being there doesn’t mean that Garou’s high outer . It’s pretty obvious that the Author’s intent was to make Saitama and Garou as Op as possible, and that falls under o.c fallacy. That’s because there was a lot of hyperbole and Op shit for literally no reason whatsoever .
