I have already said that, but one more time, the quality of the video is freaking amazing. Would you like to know why your channel is doing so well? Because you are a great human being! I hope you get 100,000 people and get your TH-cam button! You deserve all the love. Stay safe, and make day-to-day life videos. p.s. waiting for the Mcdonalds review video would be awesome to see what you have there ;)
Well done mate, it’s important to help those in need in times like this. You managed to keep us informed, at the same time helped those in need by giving a hand and through the channel giving donations. Great work, thanks 🙏
Mate, if everyone did a little bit to help as you and your wife have done, the world would be enriched. You made an impact to those that needed it and that is what matters. Hold your head proud mate.
As always, Jon, great to get updates on what is happening in my Second Home of Chiang Mai--and the rest of the area in that northern part of the kingdom! Yes, it DOES make you think and in spite of a disaster such as this one, I myself am STILL very much looking forward to getting back to CM in January! Thanks so much for your info and best wishes from Cape Cod! 🙂
One thing good in Chiang Mai is they have the street sweepers & water trucks so can clean the roads & like you say make it "look" back to normal quickly. BUT surprisingly it was one Nan province company that showed them all pressure washing inside a food business place & they said it was because basically that flood water is diarrhea. They were being honest & it is true. Look at Thailand open sewer system. That basically back flowed into all the flooded shops etc. Think of all the rats & urine from around the moat that also back flowed everywhere. Look up "leptospirosis" it has raged in a few US states a few times before folks knew what it was. Be careful out there..Streets are easy to clean but it is not the bigger task/risk 😉 Thank you & your wife for all the good things you were doing during the floods! Very nice
“It’s not just me, me, me” unfortunately Jon it has increasingly become that in the west. Admire the togetherness and the sense of community on display.
I love Chiang Mai coming back for two month again. I'm was seriously thinking moving there BUT.. the serious burning season that force people for a few months move away or the flooding not mention drink water has significant glyphosate partials ..love to visit for a few months but wouldn't move there.
Be positive Jon, the floods will recede, the weather will be dry again. The Economy appears to be booming with the THB soaring against most world currencies. You will do fine.
Hi. Jon to be correct the river you see in Lamphun not Ping river it's call Mae Kuang river. Ping river run along the border between Chiang Mai and Lamphun. then the two river meet at the Pasang. Lamphun.
@@jondcanton You're very welcome.. I knew you love to ride the bike maybe one day you should try ride along the ping river from Pa-Daet it's winding road. My house is along the Ping river on the border of Rim ping and San Patong. You may find another favourite shop that sell foods along that road too.😊
Thumbs up 👍 Jon

Thanks Sean, not too long to January :)
The Thai are resilient & will get through this as they always do. Just sucks to see the devastation & damage.
Yep true, I feel for all those who lost their possessions, so many people affected
Jon things are looking good on Chaing Mai. Love Chaing Mai .
Downtown Chiang Mai is clear now thankfully

Thanks mate, yeah it’s really made me think about things that before I didn’t think about.

Must have missed you mate. Was in Lamphun this morning too
I was there around 11am to 1pm, love Lamphun!

Yep, thanks mate, I’m good but it’s hard to see how people have been so affected by this
Florida is having a bad bad weather problem. Storms floods and Hurricane
Wasn’t aware of that, hope you’re well mate
@JonInChiangMai thanks but I'm in California . Keep up with the videos. I enjoyed them every morning when I wake up
Is that regular seasonal flooding or an exceptional event?
very exceptional. the last flood was 15 years ago
Its every year but extra bad about every 3 years with the big one back in 2011 .( i was there )
I’ve been in Chiang Mai 8 years and never seen it this bad, 2005 apparently was a bit worse
your happy its back to normal aint it ?
No he was loooooooooooooooooooving it ;-)
I was not loving it mate, people have lost so much, hard to see.
