    It's hard to believe that KLCC Towers are almost 30 years old, but the design still looks up-to-date with current taste comparable to other brand-new towers. Even the newer TRX and PNB118 do not come close to the majestic KLCC Towers

    Malaysia is visit South East Asia 101. Malaysia is Family Oriented and thus underrated. Go to party in Thailand. We have parties and night life. But have serious fun in Thailand and leave the kids with us to Babysit face-blue-smiling. Go for extremes in Vietnam, and Chill in Kuala Lumpur. Nobody harasses you to buy in our Markets. We have 179 Malls in Klang Valley where KL is, we love our aircon, and Food Courts in Malls are decent don't discount them in your travels. Do visit Penang for food, Ipoh underrated, Melaka for its history and hit Langkawi and the East Coast Islands. We speak English too!

    You're right abt older building having more character than the newest one, I personally dislike the design of TRX.

      Referring to what you said about the recent past development in KL that changed the urban landscape, KLCC is a fine example. The KLCC site was previously a turf club, a horse race course, been redeveloped from 1993 with full completion in 1998. There will be more 'city within the city' around KL in the future.

    • @Yasin_Affandi

      The Petronas Twin Towers height are 451 metres, the most iconic landmark in KL, a symbol and a sense of identity for Malaysia. But the new symbol of Malaysia is the Merdeka 118, with a height of 679 metres, the 2nd tallest building in the world. You may notice that the architectural design for Merdeka 118 is mind boggling complex curtainwall, with multi faceted triangular pieces, subtly referring to the multi racial, cultural and religions of the Malaysian society. The design also represent a reconciliation between the modern and the traditional issues in Malaysia.

    • @Yasin_Affandi
      @Yasin_Affandi 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    You should try Malaysian food Nasi Campur (malay food) what 60-70% of Malaysians eat. Stalls or restaurants of Malays have dishes laid out for you to choose to put on/ the side of your plate of rice.
    Nasi = rice, campur = mixed.
    Nasi sounds like "nuhsee" Campur sounds like "chum - pour".
    Also to try, nasi kerabu, nasi dagang Kelantan version & Trengganu version, nasi minyak other than nasi lemak.

    12:45 Merdeka 118-the world's second tallest building and the tallest in the SEA. The building itself is complete, but the mall and the residential buildings are still under construction. You can, however, go closer to the building for pictures, though I recommend going at night when it lights up.
    15:42 Those are the Oxley Towers, three residential buildings also under construction. I don't really know what they'll look like when they're fully completed.

    Try coming to Indonesia, you definitely won't regret it. And there are more tourist destinations to visit, the best culture and food paradises in the world than Malaysia. Indonesia has 17,508 islands spread from Sabang to Marauke. There are so many Indonesian tourist attractions that you can visit, such as: Bali, Raja Ampat, Thousand Islands, PIK, Labuan Bajo, Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple, Mount Bromo, Bunaken, Komodo Island, Toraja, Bandung, Jogyakarta, etc. Indonesia has many original cultures and the most delicious food in the world such as Rendang, Soto, Sate, Martabak, etc.
    Indonesia has a Jakarta-Bandung fast train with a speed of up to 354 km/hour with a track length of 142.3 km. Only 30 minutes to arrive in Bandung using the Indonesian fast train Whoosh. Many Indonesian foods and Indonesian culture are claimed by Malaysia such as Rendang, Batik, Wayang, Reog Ponorogo, Angklung, Pendet Dance from Bali, Keris, Pancak Silat, etc. Food with so many flavors, variants and spices only exists in Indonesia.
    Malaysia always claims everything from Indonesia, because Malaysia does not have a diverse and numerous culture like Indonesia.

    2:20 instead of going up the Petronas Towers maybe you could bring your mum up the Menara KL so you guys can see the Petronas Towers and from a different perspective instead.
    There's also a jungle canopy walk at the foot of the tower, if that of interest to your mum.
