3.5 billion is nothing. 25% will go into dirty pockets. Building safety cost money, money which developers don't want to pay, councils won't pay, to keep housing costs low. Core problem is cost of incoming goods into the UK, manufacturing of goods in the UK.
Why are we paying for the removal of cladding on flats which people own? Surely it is down to the owners to check out everything before they buy. We are living in a nanny state where the poor hard-working taxpayers have to pay for everyone's mistakes in life now. Perhaps the purchase of a cotton wool factory would be in order to enable us to wrap these modern day Snowflakes in a sufficient protective layer to ensure no harm comes to them in this hard unfair world.
Why the taxpayers and home owners are the one made responsible for paying for shitty standard? Loan is not free and government money does not come out from thing air! And the minister lying with a straight face! Wanna vomit now.

When people going to realise grenfell was Arson
What does that have to do with the cladding? 😒
The properties having this work done, should have a sales tax put on them to re coupe some of the cost.
