  • More than 100,000 homes in England are still covered in potentially deadly cladding despite the risk being identified seven years ago.

This is the first update since the report into the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire, which said all 72 deaths were avoidable.

How many bosses of the businesses and of the official inspectorate have gone to prison over this?
How many from Chelsea and Westminster are in prison over their choice to not listen to safety warnings?

They couldn't start the police investigation until the enquiry was finished last week. It's going to take a while but there will be some prosecutions. Might only be of organisations though rather than individuals. Some of the worst are French from the cladding manufacturer. They might not get extradited.

@@adrianthoroughgood1191 that's the nonsense spin. There's nothing stopping them from gathering all the evidence except for corruption.
Tories sacked 20,000 police and 10,000 police backroom staff. And look at the damage to our areas through crime levels and catastrophes.

Al Jazeera's Investigative Unit goes on,,,Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, bought hundreds of luxury properties in London, Dubai, and New York, but declared none of them to tax authorities in Bangladesh. The former land minister gives a guided tour of his $14m London home; he owns 360 in the UK alone. Now authorities in Bangladesh have frozen his bank accounts and are investigating claims the former minister laundered millions of dollars into Britain. 😮😮

I live in one which the work was meant to start in Apil this year. The council claim that they forgot to ask building control.....like the scheme wasn't planned for years. It's ridiculous. Our windows and doors are broken, heaters broken...etc etc etc. They think we're idiots.

You wont even need the pension schemes that are invested in the likes of these companies. Step up and give us a better opinion of you. It would take about Ten of you to sort this out. Unfortunately Construction Companies are not overseen as they were 20 years ago.
The Ckerk of Works are not employed separately, now we have Private Building Overseeing construction companies
Some are good, but there are some where envelopes are exchanged
The Clerk of Works were in their own fields aware of short cuts material usage etc
Until there are fully independent professional people Overseeing projects, this will happen again and again.
