The spotting sniper: aka the guy who fires more flares then he does bullets, like the second coming of Christ himself to teammates but a pain for the enemy team
I find it funny when people complain about when people play the sniper role like it’s supposed to be played. A sniper is suppose to hide out far away and pick you off without you even knowing. Snipers are suppose to “camp” they aren’t a run and gun class.
Declan Kelly but at the same time he can be beneficial. I’ve protected many objectives/teammates from far away. I typically play either operations or conquest when I snipe 90% of the time I’m top 3. I’m always spotting while wherever I’m at as well. As long as they’re a good sniper they won’t be a burden to the team.
Devin K As long as your actively guarding an objective and spotting enemies, you are helpful but like I said, when a sniper isn't trying to kill enemies that are trying to take or defend an objective and only worries about their k/d ratio and nothing else, they aren't doing much to help the team
I absolutely love being the sniper w/o a scope bc: 1) it’s easier to support your team by staying a little further behind them, unlike prone from 150+ meters away 2) I play intel specialist, so 95% of the time whipping out flares and a periscope to spot and eliminate targets... Cool vid
The counter sniper; the guy who plays as assault but keeps getting wrecked by snipers so sets out on a personal vendetta with a sniper rifle to own every other sniper on the other team. Doesn't play the objective or target any players other than enemy snipers, is usually a decent sniper and enjoys trolling the career snipers
Fun fact about K bullets, they can kill a guy who is behind field gun's shield, do much more damage to elites/cavaliers and come in handy when your primary sniper ammo runs out and support guy is nowhere to be found :v
What about the spot flare sniper? It doesn't really matter how this guy plays as a sniper, but when you or your team advance on an objective, he makes sure you can see where the enemy is.
You forgot the guy who can take out 20 snipers who are all trying to kill him with out dying but it takes him most of the game to figure out the bullet drop since he only plays battlefield once a month. This is the type of sniper who doesn't change his scope distance eg 75m, 150m, 300m which is why it takes him so long to figure it out. Once he gets going he can do anything from cross map headshots to two headshot with one bullet at 300m away while the targets were moving to 1 meter away no scope headshots all while the targets are moving. If you are in the other team you are probably laughing at him for not getting a single kill on you for the first 3/4 of the game while you get him 5-0 until he makes a comeback 17 to him 6 to you.
I'm the 1903 experimental sniper . Almost 12 stars on it . Basically the front line scout. You just gotta get anti spot flare skill , decoy skill if you like and spot flare gun.
I'm definitely the one who doesn't take a scope... I call it being an "infantryman" because I'm just using iron sights and traveling alongside the assault and other classes to capture objectives and stuff. It's pretty satisfying...
Bf1 was my first battlefield and (like a noob) I obviously choose the sniper. I stuck with it being really bad at it first but over time i got better. I am now able to consistently get headshots at 200+ meters and when i see another sniper with a sheild i always laugh a little. It gives me the exact spot to aim and its quite funny
I fit into two of these groups! On a good day I'm #5. Getting 5 kills from a 5 round mag; using iron sights to counter snipe those high-power optic using snipers; then I run onto an objective and proceed to get 5 more kills with the Obrez pistol then I pop a smoke grenade and get a couple more kills with my knife on enemies lost in the smoke...... BUT then I jump into the next round of conquest and find I'm more like #4 precisely missing every shot as I proceed to wonder if I'm actually any good at this game, then I realize my ping is jumping up and down like a kid on a trampoline so it's difficult to hit anything when you don't know when you need to compensate for lag because the new patch made the lag worst and aim lead indicator is nowhere to be found until you're staring at your own dead body like the game is taunting you.
In your sentence you used the word "worst" it should have been worse because you are comparing 2 things not more than 2. Also I know the lag can be bad sometimes but not for a hole match, maybe like 35-50 percent of the match but not the whole thing. Plus unless your a pro ( which I'm not saying your not ) it's hard to get 5 straight kills using 5 bullets then get more kills using a pistol then getting more kills with a knife is almost impossible without getting seen and without dying once.
Ive actually played a TDM match with a random gadgets guy. He had 3 sniper decoys and a shield and I was the only one covering his ass because I was support and well free points.
The plane sniper. I've said this about medic, but the same still qualifies. There are two types here. The one that stays on the plane, the other behind your spawn. The guy who stays on the plane either sucks dick,or is a fucking mvp. He is best known for shooting his entire arsenal before reverting to the planes natural weapons, and whether or not he is on your team, he remains a pain in the ass. The guy who jumps is a fucking god. KNown best for sniping you within seconds of spawn, the jump sniper Carris flares and the trench scope. He spots like no one else, and kills before the prey gets away.
welp technically speaking the k bullets are more effective and strong against everything but bere in bf1 those bullets Have been nerfed so bad. Back in Sniper élite 3 if you picked up fmj bullets gir your rifle you would KILL a tank with only 3 shots
Im the authetic, special forces, k bullet using, sniper with with a dish of spot flares. Also k bullets are great at killing that elite thats holding the objective or scaringg away light armored vehciles

Infantry rifles should not be counted as snipers. Of course you can crawl and snipe medium to long range the other players, but these are meant to be shooting standing up and moving a step or two after each shot. Also I think many players also use these because they were the rifles every actual WW1 soldier had to use. Digital Dose the bf1 scopes flat out suck harder then a whore on a dick. In bf3 i can handle the 12x ballistic/8x/4x acog no prob but for 1 screw it iron sights with the martini or the smle mk3 (grinding for the moisin) and run-a-muck with flares and inc grenades/bombs.
The only class I play really is sniper. I am level 50 sniper and use a mix of non scoped and marksmen rifles. I like the non scoped better though. But when I get killed by a noob camping sniper using a shield I grab by scoped rifle and head shot him through his shil from across the map.
I use sniping alot so I can get better at it and kinda getting better but what exactly is a sweetspot? Is it like a place where you can always find an enemy to snipe, or is it the way you aim to make a shot, or is it just when you get into the zone

cee kay on an average day my ping goes from 75 to 600 and anywhere inbetween on a bad day it goes up and down anywhere from 200 to 5000

Im a no scope guy and sniped someone out of a plane (I think) without a scope and with a mosin nagant (on the CTE)

When you are a certain distance from the enemy. Check stats of each gun and see where damage graph equals 100 or sweet spot
