What’s crazy is Dick at 68 is talking about things that happened roughly 30 years before this was taped and here it is 30 years since this show and he STILL with us, STILL dancing and still full of life at 98! That’s awesome!
Did you ever see the rather dark picture he did called "The Comic?" He also did a cool flick where he plays an artist who fakes his own death so his stuff will start selling. He becomes so popular in death that he can't keep up with the demand to find more 'undiscovered' works of his.
The nicest man in show business. His tribute to Mary at the SAG Awards announcing her before she was brough5 to the podium was one of the most moving moments in TV. He’s humble here letting Jay ramble on. He’s 68 here and is still alive. God gave him to all of us.
I’m re-watching and really enjoying the Dick Van Dyke show on youtube and am amazed at his brilliant persona and comic timing and he and Mary Tyler Moore are so in sync. It’s truly a great watch.👏🏻
What’s interesting is I found a video where Adalberto Ramirez did the moon walk first in 1950 in Mexico. 5 years before Bill Bailly did at The Apollo Theatre, 33 years before Michael Jackson.
I'm looking for an episode of "The Dick Van Dyke Show Remembered" that aired in 1994. I believe it was hosted by Charles Kuralt. Do you have a copy of this episode?👍
Not that we've seen yet, but we'll keep an eye peeled! We did just spot a tape with Carl Reiner reprising his Van Dyke role on Mad About You (can't upload due to copyrights) as well as a cartoon with voices by Reiner, Van Dyke, Rose Marie, and Morey Amsterdam (may upload shortly), so there's a good possibility of more similar content -
Talking about the chimp that would drink coffee and smoke cigarettes reminds me of Sam at the Monkey Bar in Fosters, Ohio. He drank and smoked with the patrons for years until the ASPCA took him away - and brought him back after he began to go through withdrawal...
He was 68 here, he’s now 97! God bless this man! RIP to his costars and fellow legends.
I am now just a little younger than he was here!
98 now. Will be 99 in December.

Dick Van Dyke is my favorite comedic actor of all time! An American Treasure!
You good taste have.

The show was at its peak in 1964. This was in 1994. The Reunion Show came in 2004. And now it's 2024. Sixty years go by in a flash.

Love the wonderful cast from the Dick Van Dyke show.

I could listen to DVD talk all day. I love him! Good to see Buddy and Sally.
RIP Rose Marie
RIP Morey Amsterdam
Mr. Van Dyke is amazing thank you for honesty, kindness and fairness!❤♡❤♡
I was born in 1962. I can visualize my whole life in looking at DVD. He reminds me of my father. He had a veneer that was honorable but very present.
Dick Van Dyke is still alive loved it.
TY Jay! U still the man
DVD is a legend & still looks good but don't forget Diagnosis Murder. He'll be remembered for that too.
His second mystery series wasn’t bad either.
A friend of mine was an extra in a lot of those when they were shooting in Denver.
Thank you so much for sharing❤♡❤♡
I had such a rush of nostalgia hearing the Jay Leno Show intro ❤😊❤
True Legends
That's it? Interesting stuff but way too short... especially of Rose and Morey!
It wasn't an episode of the DVD Show.

A National Treasure
Jay Rocks!!
This all Jays idea,
Gee, Jay, where'd you get the idea to interrupt the show so that you could walk backstage and do a bit there?
I think Dick Van Dyke did the original moon walking, before Michael Jackson.

@@007guesswhat James Brown did it, as well.

Man, Jay Leno can make anything unfunny.
Yeah..he put a downer on the whole thing!
