It really looks like someone is working on doing some amount of restoration perhaps in preparation for opening it to the public. to see the spent shell drops and the bunk bends intact as well as the freshly painted guns, I really hope it's a local group. Who ever it is that is taking care of them we owe a debt of gratitude.
Fantastic video. It’s awesome that you share this history with the world. Even better that your sharing it with your Son. He will remember these adventures for the rest of his life. Keep up the outstanding work.
That 15 cm gun position was very interesting. It looked like the exterior of the gun was well taken care of (painted) by someone. Too bad the interior was locked so you could not access it. It is cool that the second one was open! The views from so many of these sites are awesome. Camo paint on the concrete still in existence is surprising. Seeing the bunk room layout after talking about it many times is very cool. This was a great video with a lot of interesting items! Stay safe and stay well!
Yes it is a very nice and clean place taken care of some great people. Views there are amazing and so glad we could share that with you :) Thanks and greetings from us.
Thank you again for this adventure. The site was so clean [ no graffiti painted and kept clean, even cots set up as the soldiers would have had them ] It was a good rendition of the fortress as it was in the 1940's.. Thank you both and now be careful, safe, and be healthy.
Another fantastic place for you, EE and all of us to explore. Much credit must be given to whoever restores and keeps these places so pristine, thank you as ever for taking us along with you, and I hope that EE liked his bed! Looking forward to the next instalment.
Wow, never before seen features in those special spent shell receivers and those bunk beds. It was fascinating to see 'Hans' laying on his bed! Thank you for bringing us this brilliant location The bunkers and guns are simply stunning to see. Thank you HH and EE ❤
It's such a wonderful surprise that the guns are still there and it's not covered in graphitti. It really warms my soul to see the past not decimated or destroyed. What a nice place. Thank you both for sharing. 💖💯
Kudos to all the people involved in maintaining this spectacular place. To see some quite rare, original fittings still there, was just amazing The camouflage netting framework, on the gun bunker, with the railway track ground pins, the super rare, wooden spent shell bins, the bunk beds still hanging from the ceiling of that bunker, and the guns in almost original condition, AND, still turning. Truly incredible. And just loved seeing the original camouflage painting in the stair wells of the crew bunker, with no graffiti or anything to spoil it. The paint would help keep any light reflections to a minimum at night. Thanks to you both for bring thing stunning site to us. Cheers to you both. Looking forward to Part 3!
2nd location is even better than the first. Really live that the massive guns still rotate. And to see the spent rounds, barrel dispensers are still intact, amazing. Huge thank yiu to History hunter and Eagle Eye's.
Oh, how freaking awesome that site is!!! They have the baskets to drop the spent shell casings down to the lower levels, the crew bunks, the guns actually still move (so jealous of you Eagle Eyes!), and the second bunker site actually had the room open so you could get inside! I could spend so much time there just wandering around looking at all of the site. Thank you so much for taking us on the trip!
Wow, a 6" Navel Rifle. That is no popgun. I also believe that the round holes in the wall were for the powder charges. They put in the shell, then put the powder in the brass case. put that into the chamber and then fire the gun. Pull the shell out and start over. Since they have two rails & two powder racks, they should be able to fire either 8 or 10 rounds per minute depending on how many people they have working behind the gun.
The formwork needed to make these bunkers always impresses me. It would be fascinating to see these structures when they were being built. The other consideration is for the people who built them, all construction on this scale is dangerous and many people must have perished regardless of wether it was forced labour or a team of German workers. Conditions in the bunker when the gun was in use must have been horrendous.
Another amazing adventure, thanks for sharing. Its neat that the second bunker had automated lighting in it, that was very thoughtful of the people taking care of the place. safe travels and thx for sharing!
Very impressive. Never seen the chutes for the fired rounds or the actual bunk beds before. Good to see that the area is kept clean and looked after, that gun looked pretty smooth as EE was traversing it.
Such a nice location being mostly intact. Well maintained even the floors were clean not full of sheep poo. Was that on private property? A little oil for the doors would be nice. Love to see the lower rooms where the spent round went.
This site is far more intact than most you have visited. Really cool to see the bunks and the chute for the round casings. Keep up the good work HH and EE!
What a fabulous video and to see the bunks still in place is fantastic. A big thank you to you and EE for sharing these wonderful pieces of history. Until next time " Good Hunting ".
Thanks for Great episode. Looking forward to the next one. I got my shadowboard yesterday. Thanks a lot. It's looking great in my cupboard. I'm really looking forward to see EE's expedition. You guys rock! All my love to you, WW2HH, BunkerBusterGirl and EagleEyes. 🤟 Love from Sweden, Mattias Lindroth. ❤
Another great video, yes better than part1. Did you happen to check the backing block to see who manufactured the 150mm gun. That they left it moveable is great for education. Another great video and location my friend. Stay safe and well. Oh, I think EE needs ammo for the 150mm, it would look good in the front or back yard.
What a place!! It's hard not to getq caught up with EE's enthusiasm. 😅 He sure loves those adventures. That place was amazing. Is it an organization that looks after it? A shame it was locked inside. Probably wanted to avoid vandalism. Thank you for showing us the big gun and associated photos. It always helps to put things into perspective. Thank you so much for taking us there. Stay safe you two ❤❤.
Amazing that the gun turret traversing mechanism still works. Electric lights inside the bunker? I presume that the land owner opened the doors and turned on the lights. Perhaps they have been doing some maintenance on machinery?
Yes many of the guns can be turned and moved and EE loved that. Place is taken care of indeed and very glad for that so we can experience such a great place. Thanks.
Fantastic location, great to see this location is taken care of. Was something that the shell disposal rings were still in place. The bunks were a nice surprise also. Thank you and EE for the tour. Can't wait for part 3, this place is amazing.
SO AMAZING to see one of these semi preserved. It makes me want to come over with my paints and sandpaper and rub down all the rusty panzer doors and fittings and paint lovely white walls and grey doors. Repair the beds and put straw mattresses on. Oil up the heavy shutter and doors so they open silently for tomorrows people to see. FANTASTIC explore!
Wow so cool to see the gun there still and the bunks are there too ,even eagle eyes fitted on one of the bunks ,keep em coming very interesting to watch these guys
The crew bunker with the cots was great to see set up. Not the greatest for comfort, but sleep when you can. EE looked like a Star Wars trooper manning the gun.
Now that position is almost intact and is immaculate. So great to see! I guess poor Hans did need a nap, after all that aiming and firing!🤣 Thanks for the awesome explore, HH and EE!❤
Wow, very nice seeing those guns still there. Is someone restoring that area, as it had "lights" lol. If so, awesome job for them to preserve them. AND to see the actual "cots" for the crew still there was a bonus indeed. Thanks to EE for his demo on the gun. Great job EE. Looking forward to the next. Stay well, safe.....until then.............smile
This is better than watching t.v., Awesome video sir, enjoyed watching. I loved watching how the 15cm gun was capable of moving it looked really good and excellent at narrating the video as well. Thanks man! And eagle eyes for making it!
Wow!! What an incredible location, amazing to see EE elevating and rotating the gun. After all that exercise" Hans" deserved a well earned rest on the bunk! 👍
Someone has spent a long tie looking after these bunker keeping them clean and tidy, and in working order, so that thanks to you an EE, we can see the past. A massive complex, and with more to come, I cannot wait. Stay sfae and well my friends
What a wonderful location. I have never seen so many great features in one place. The guns were great to see still there and then seeing the wooden funnel for the spent shells was fantastic. Never seen those before. Then seeing the bunks still hanging there. I did get a glimpse of the chain attached to the bunker hanger in the ceiling that we’ve seen in other videos. It really brings it all together when you see them complete. Great location and Eagle Eyes seemed to be enjoying working that gun. Do you think your next video can out do this lol?
Are these positions on private land? They are as clean as I've seen a bunker on your vlogs. The electricity in them is surely post-war. EE took to that bunk like he has had a few camping trips hunting history.
The heavy guns that I trained on was the 105 mm howitzer they had a range of about 20 miles so I would imagine the 150 mm would have a much longer range
That place is neat does someone take care of those and stuff it so clean in side and that the handle s to move the gun . So neat that your son gets to see all that stuff and learn first hand about ww2. Great to see all this stuff
@@WW2HistoryHunter I really wish I could be there I luv this stuff your doing. It's great you take the time to give the world and your kids this history it's so much better to see these places first hand and not just read about them in books. I wish I had the extra money to send you but living on a fixed income makes it impossible for me to. So my application for what your doing is all I have to give. So please keep up the great job of showing these places Thank you Gary Hill
Hello HH & EE. Another phenomenal German WW2 defensive position. Again so well constructed and laid out, complete with the camouflage netting and paint. Very impressive. The Germans were so advanced. Right, you are EE, that was a big 15 cm gun. I know EE is tall for his age, but soldier's bunks did seem a bit short. Maybe they installed the bare minimum. NO, don't leave Hans behind!! Wonderful to see everything still in good shape so history buffs can check them out. Thanks so much for your support, HH. Yes, do watch your head. No head injuries needed. 😂 Thanks so much for taking us there EE & HH. Keep smiling 😊.
yes Laura , EE totally loved this amazing place and he said moving the guns was one of the most fun things he had done for a long time. I had to drag him out of there :) Thanks and be strong :)
Well done both of you, so glad that you still have all the artifacts from a time when them and us had our different versions of what we thought was right? What do you think was right? Not now but then? We all lost lots of everything and I mean everything! The way it is now I'm thinking he should have had it ,because freedom has been absolutely abused, and borders have been broken in the name of freedom. Sorry from England 😊
My sons Troy,Eddy,Max,Jake have the same love for ww2 as we live on the former RAF Hornchurch airfield if you look it up you will see how important it was and how it defended London
I think today we need AH and WC back for some normality and what needs to be what! It seems the ones in charge now haven't got a clue about any clue there ever was! (Clueless) I guess. Here in England we are being invaded by more people than the German's was sending over and know one cares ! What was it all for? Love to all of you. You are probably in the same place (shite) as we are.what do you think of the spitfire? Xx
Now those beds... with Eagle eyes lying on it.. Either he's grown up a lot or the Germans had a lot of dwarves stationed there.. I know he is gig for his age but ...
Thank you two so much for sharing your amazing adventures.
That is very kind of you my friend and will come in very handy in upcoming explores. We thank you for that and greetings from us.
Thank you EE for you wonderful gift that you sent. Keep up the great work

Nice to see somewhere not vandalised and covered in graffiti.
Totally agree and thanks my friend :)
I agree with you on that one. Personally it would be cool if they made these into Museums I know it’s a bad time in history but it’s still history
Yes it does spoil it when the louts graffiti all over them

yes agree what a great place with some unusual features there. Thanks Beverley :)

There is power in some of the bunkers. Taken well care of it seems. Thanks.
it looked like the guns have had a fresh coat of grey paint
looks like it yes. Thanks.
All that power and yet the Germans lost the war!! Thank God!!
Another fantastic adventure HH and EE!

I notice the electricity is still on in the crew bunker with lighting?

I think today we need AH and WC back for some normality and what needs to be what! It seems the ones in charge now haven't got a clue about any clue there ever was! (Clueless) I guess. Here in England we are being invaded by more people than the German's was sending over and know one cares ! What was it all for? Love to all of you. You are probably in the same place (shite) as we are.what do you think of the spitfire? Xx
