- Amped 2 is a sequel to Microsoft's snowboarding game 'Amped', which was an Xbox launch title. The game was introduced as part of the XSN Sports lineup, which included such games as NFL Fever, Top Spin and Rallisport Challenge. Amped 2 has an abundant soundtrack of over 300 songs, including various underground and indie groups such as MyG, Acumen Nation, and The Peripheral Visionaries. In addition to the in game soundtrack, players can choose to use custom soundtracks as well.

I was part of a snowboarder focus group in Utah when they were making this game. They gave us free pizza and asked what we'd like to see in the game. My input was I wanted it to be realistic and have real resorts in it, not just made up mountains.
That's pretty dope. I remember those focus groups back then I used to try to volunteer for as many as I could but this was something you were actually good at so this probably was more fun. Could you see any gameplay or anything from the game yet?

Closest thing is "Shredder" on steam. Came out in 2022. It's great!
Still the best snowboarding game ever, better than shredders now which is also good. Amped 2, the controls, vibe and soundtrack had me hooked
This and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 where essentially my introduction to gaming. The nostalgia is real.
Legit same lmfao my first game was THPS 2 on N64 then my mom got me an Xbox with amped as the game with the console and THPS 4 since I loved 2 so much
I went to a snowboarding boarding school and we used to board all day and come back and play this game it was the best times of life

Seriously, there's not so much gap between this gen and next gen. I'm so stuned by the details of Amped 2 years after not watching gameplay / playing it. I get now why I was that jaw-dropped whith some Xbox 1st gen games... Xbox was way ahead of any other consoles at this time.
came here to say this. steep never came close to this. amped 3 looked like SSX tricky meets paper Mario meets bad punk 2006 emo aesthetic and it was just so sad when they could have built on this incredible gem of a game instead

When I got another og Xbox this was one of the first games I bought and it still holds up well and looks good. If you have an Xbox still you need to have this game

This was one of the first games I rented from blockbuster and i still have fond memories of this gem. Wish I could play it again but don’t have an original Xbox anymore :(
Tbh it's still really fun to play today if you find yourself an Xbox again. They can connect via HDMI and with these 4k TVs look much better and this game holds up pretty well. This was a game from an era where it was more about being fun, just picking up a controller and having a blast so when I have 20 mins to kill I always come back to this

These were the best snowboarding games. Not to unrealistic compared to the other snowboarding games.
This one had the perfect balance between arcade and realism.

@@Jib223 360 is long since bricked as well and I never liked PC gaming. If I really feel motivated one day to play Amped I’ll just buy another OG Xbox and buy a used copy of it. Appreciate the comment tho

I only play games I have never been with nothen but I love playing amped1 and amped2 back in my younger days and my mom got me amped1 and amped2 again I'm getting them soon can't wait to get them there my favorite games for the original xbox I used to play the hell out of amped1 back in my younger days I was pretty good at it can't wait to get these to new old classic games I'm gonna play them every day my mom said there be here by the end of next week
