Best thing you’ve got going now is that v plow that you can put in the v position and bust a first pass in those driveways. I have always run straight blades, but there have been times a v plow in the v position would be the bomb 💣 !!!
I have a question sometimes when we have here at the city what I live, 2 or 3 feet of snow and the city truck pass they throw snow of the street to front of the driveway and there it is a 2 o 3 feet tall and hard snow to remove, can you plow that or it is to hard for a plow and we have to use a blower ? Thanks
I'll always be a Western fan. Used Arctic, Meyer, Fisher Extreme V and Boss. Western has the best pump and hydraulic ram design, Meyer plow lift and frame were excellent, the blade was wimpy, Fisher Extreme V was a stainless steel plow but the bolts that held it to the frame kept backing off, bolts were stainless too, tried loctite , tried double nutting them, tried mushrooming the bolts to prevent the nuts from backing off. Stainless was tough to mushroom. Boss, the blade was excellent, mount and framework excellent. The lack of a chain lift made short chaining impossible.
Is this snow from that big storm that hit the Northeast? Just asking because just right across Lake Ontario here in the Toronto area we got no snow just high winds.
@@CountrysideStrong Mine was an outright disaster. Though we get 250"+ a year so my equipment gets used and abused. It just wasn't up for the task where I am.
Get some Buyers factory Snowdogg wings on that plow and your problem will be solved. They aren’t cheap, but they are way more affordable than wings from most all the other big name plow manufacturers. Your crafty kind of guy and I’m sure you’ll find yourself an inexpensive alternative...??? I have two straight plows with Buyers wings and would be lost without them. They cut my plow times down by 30-50%
Liking the Exmark recliner!! Ok a couple of things it not necessarily the blade you just like driving the new truck, second when the bell chimes 5 times that means put you seatbelt on and last but not least God broke the mold when he made you buddy!!🤣🤣🤣 great vid as always!
Nothing like the first snow event after offering snow removal it was our 2nd largest snowfall in history. My first storm and It snowed 30 inches here in the Allentown PA area. Ugh. I’m only using a snow blower for now. It was a rough 2 days.
I just upgraded this year from an 8ft Boss to a Boss 9.2 XT and absolutely love it. And won't ever go back. But ill keep it as a back up. I think i said it already, but nice truck brother.
I’ve seen some also do the PiP style switching back and forth with an external shot and a POV. Personally I like both styles and how you switch things up, but I like it most that you keep it real and do your own thing. I like that you aren’t trying to be someone you’re not just to get views or grow your channel at the cost of integrity.
@@CountrysideStrong that’s one of the things I like most about you and your channel. Well, that and your many talents as I’m always learning something, whether it’s a technique, a new way to look at something, or simply being able to say “cool, so I’m not the only one who thinks that”.
The run off is the reason I asked about wings on the v-plow when you first got it. I hated the run off so bad. The wings helped a ton. But understandable you can't get into every drive with the wings. Like the video. Keep up the hard work
I use a Samsung J3 cheap cell phone for my videos. You don't need all the fancy stuff unless you can afford it lol. I prefer my V over the straight blade. Try using the scoop more. You won't have as much run off. Great video Randy!
One thing I have found with a V Blade. You know where you have to plow a driveway with wet snow where someone has already driven over the driveway and packed the snow down. I can put my V Blade in V mode and slice right through. I believe that is because in V mode you have more of a slicing action with the blade compared to a pushing action in a straight mode.
No snow here in Central Alabama but still enjoyed the video. Camera works fine but the audio quality dropped when you were back in the garage. Thanks Randy 👊🏼🧔🇺🇸
Hey great video! I plow in Ontario Canada with the same plow but 9’6 do u have any issues with leaving a strip of snow down the middle of the v ? Mine is terrible for that drives me nuts lol
Hey Randy it's Rocco from R &J here in Connecticut how much snow did you get in your area. We got anywhere from 1 to 2 feet plus 3 to 5 foot drifts we worked a total of 26 hours not complaining at all. I have a Fisher extreme V2 on my F 350 and love it but it took me a while to get the controller down pat I always have used straight blades well keep the videos coming there appreciated thanks your friend Rocco from Connecticut
I have the same plow on my truck I have a 07 Dodge 2500 heavy duty and I wouldn't have any other plow when you're ready to sell let us know I'll be interested in it I'm from Traverse City Michigan
Glad to see the snowdogg in action, good job on the videos, I love watching your content. My brother and I are going to ramp up our advertising and just make a large downpayment on an F-250 and get into plowing.
Great video, v blades are great I went with v blade 6 years ago been plowing about 20 years best thing I did went with boss power v 8,2 what size is your size snow dogg? I had a snow dogg for a year strait blade after three storm s it fell apart the skin bolts fell off and the skins bent over that plow just fails a little loosely goosey the boss v steal is like a rock , how do you like your heated seats how's many miles does the new truck have ? It makes the ride a lot better with the heated seats gets the chill out of your body check all those bolts lol
I enjoy your plow videos exactly how they are. And... I wish we had an over abundance of ppl. like you!! Guys that are NOT snowflakes but, still kind & tolerant!! We're a dying breed Bud. Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!! #broinlawns!!
The only thing I hate about my snow dogg plow is the caps that go over the wire harness when the plow is unhooked they don’t seal at all and won’t stay on

I would agree but we haven't had a storm that bad in years that would require it so it's mostly a feature I'll almost never use
I was like " watch out for the cars" LOL
Lol they don't stop for anyone

👍💪
How is the traction on the new truck in comparison to the old one
Just as good. They both do great
Add the wing kit from buyers makes a huge difference while scooping
I have custom wings on my Western. It would make this V too big for my needs
nothing but rain this season

Westerns are great blades
The video had great shots. All your videos are great. You get some great shots mowing or plowing. Take care. Thanks
Thank you it's appreciated

Yea but we didn't get all that much.

I was debating between a snowdog xp and a vxf95 I ended up going with a v just cause I can put wings some day and it’s my first season

How’s that little Stihl back pack blower in the background?
I think when I get a bigger truck, I’ll get a V plow .
It's nice for everyday stuff

Great video. Snowdogg make a really nice set of factory wings for your plow. They're expensive ($800ish). Just thought I'd mention that.
Yea I've seen them but it's wide enough already
@@CountrysideStrong, yeah I'm not sure how much wider they'll make it. I have a 8' 6" Fisher Xtreme V and my factory wings add a foot.
hope you got paid for going back

Sounds like a fair comparison to each setup. Seems like the 2015 is treating you well though.
I like it allot
Are you going to put the led light bar on the new plow! Put one on my plow like you said! Finally got to use it! Really nice 👍
I prob will
How much for that driveway at 7:40?
I don't give out prices. That's my customers business
Something i’ve seen other channels do that would be worth considering is having a second channel primarily just for the raw footage
That's too much extra time. I can see the benefits tho

If u see unplowed driveways on yur route do u ever get out and ask to plow them?
No not usually, I don't plow because I have to so it's not really a necessity

Yup, I looked at a few. I couldn't beat the price of this one

No but I have heard people say that
Would you recommend a xp or a wideout instead of a v plow ?
Wide out if you have a big enough truck. It's a very very heavy plow. I love the V tho
