@@bethedgar8382 lol, I actually asked my dad (who was a vet) when I was a teen if he could do that, since I knew from a very early age I don't want to have kids. He laughed and called me crazy. Now at almost 45 (and even without having been 'spayed') still just dogs and cats for me. 😉
I agree! My whole family as well as myself have had golden retrievers and the fact he made it to 15 years old is extraordinary!! Golden are very well known for getting cancer or hip problems. This was a great and sad story!!
Dr. Kate saying she wanted Benny to have a dignified death, just shows more of her character. What a wonderful life she got to share with him. I’m so, so sorry for her loss. They both hit the jackpot being able to share their love and life together ❤
Winston is a darling cat. I’ve never seen a cat put up with treatment like that from a toddler, so he’s an exceptionally patient cat. I loved the way he was so vocal too. I’m allergic to cats, but I really liked him. 😊
Chickens are incredibly intelligent and make amazing pets from what I've read and studdied.. i wish I could have one but I live on an apt . With my cat
I have a golden retriever mix and the one thing I always hear about even with the mixes is the tumors on the spleen. They're just too prevalent in the breed. Cancer in general is so prevalent in goldens. I feel so bad for her and feel like one day I'll be in those shoes
This was a tough one, watching each vet go through the worry and fear over their beloved pet. Of course, the saddest of all was Dr. Kate and her beloved dog, Benny. Tears are streaming down my face as I read that Benny passed two months after his 15th birthday. That 15th birthday party was the best celebration of his life with family and friends. My sincere condolences, Dr. Kate. And even though it wasn't shown in this video, my sincere condolences to Dr. Scott and the loss of his old dog, Betty. The puppy Scully is alive and well.
Dr. Kate, what a lovely life you provided for your loyal and much loved old man! His devotion to you beamed in those sweet, sweet eyes. Until we all meet at the Rainbow Bridge, our memories will sustain us!
I was in tears through the whole part about Benny's situation and surgery, and then was able to clean myself up when they said it was succesful... and then the black and white photo of Benny hit at the end and I knew before they even said it...and I was a mess again. We have one of our 4 pups hitting that age ceiling and I know I'm going to be a mess. But you were able to give Benny 3 more months of love, and I'm sure he loved every minute of it.
I adore Dr. Andrew. I think Chris has too big of a fan club (not that I don’t love him as well) but I just love how Andrew is a little bit awkward but also really calm and confident and he always fixes up his patients ❤️
This hit hard for me, especially the last clip about Benny. I am facing a similar situation with my 17yr old boy due to his health and some things I have seen happening recently. Making the decision to euthanize your pet is so very agonizing but the animals health and living conditions and comfort is the most important. We never forget them, they remain in your heart always and are never replaceable.
😪💔 Rest In Peace Benny 💔. THAT was a shock. Held my breath during surgery and prayed nothing else showed up. My little Rory had a tumour removed at 11. They said he’d maybe make his 12th. He lived to 18 and a 1/2. No matter how long we have them it’s never long enough. 🐾. So sorry for your loss.
I know exactly how Cait feels.. I have my 15 year old Daxie for whom I need to make the same decision for in the next few days. You keep putting it off because you've loved them, and raised them next to your kids and really just the thought of standing there, watching her take her last breath... tears my heart apart. But I have to. She has advanced cancer which has now spread to her lungs, her kidneys aren't functioning properly and even though she still has that sparkle in her eyes- when she doesn't know I'm looking, I can see her not feeling well. I have to put her first now ahead of my own emotions.
I had a dog called Bernadette but her nickname was benny . This gave me lots of nostalgia watching old benny have his surgery. 😢 Bernadette was old and had some life threatening problems so she was put down .. I hope Kate knows that benny will always be with her and always be her best boy ❤
Chris and Cricket are so so cute. 😂 Benny and Kate 💔 I didn’t want to cry so much in this episode but I balled at poor Benny. Poor boy was loved so so much. ❤
I'm so sorry for Kate to hear that her beloved Benny passed away. It's awful to have to put up with such a great loss. But a dog's life is just too short. So that's what you have to face when you have a dog. ❤❤❤

Dr. Kate, my heart goes out to you. It's been 7 weeks since I lost the love of my life, Ramon. He was 13 and put up an amazing fight. I rescued him at 6wks old along with his mom and her litter of 8 on a vacation trip in Mexico. He suffered from Addison's disease, which he produced zero cortisone. He then developed cardiomyopathy, afib and heart disease and arthritis but it was kidney failure that would be his last fight. There is not a day that goes by that I dont think about him. Benny was absolutely beautiful and I'm so incredibly sorry you lost your beloved boy. Sending you lots of love from California, USA.❤🐾❤🐾
Dr Kate Adams: I'm so sorry for the Lost of your beloved dog Benny. Trust me you are not alone, my first dog that I had when I was little, she recently passed away because she ate something poisonous. I feel your pain and I hope you'll get through it Kate
I have kept and rescued a lot of cats over the years and Cricket reminded me of my first experience caring for an "unfixed" female cat who went into heat soon after rescuing her. She would bellow and cry all night, roll over the floor endlessly and sit with her tail high up in the air. It must have been awful for her but it was pretty bad for me to put up with too. People are right that male cats can be a problem if they are unfixed but IMHO I would say female cats in heat are more of an issue. Not just the spraying but endless calling and crying day and night. I eventually had her "fixed" and I'm sure she ended up feeling much better now those cycles are a thing of the past. She lived until she was around 16 years old with a friend and died a few years ago.

Hi Dr Kate. I'm so sorry for your loss of Benny. Benny is one off my favorite dogs on Bondi vet he is just a special boy and so cute. I lost my Labrador this year she was 17 and a half years old and she was my best friend her name was Tessa and I always played with her in the garden and took her for walks with my dad and we also selebrated out birthdays together and our birthdays was the 14th of December and this year it's going to be my first birthday without her I'm turning 14 and she was supposed to turn 18 but it was a good decision to put her to sleep she wasn't eating at some point and was too weak to walk but I'm really grateful that she lived a long healthy and happy life. I'm sure Benny will always be by your side no matter what and he is not suffering anymore. Rest in peace beautiful boy and make lost of friends in Heaven and everyone that watches Bondi vet loves you. ❤️❤️❤️
I truly love it, my cat when my children were little was named Cricket and she too was a ball of energy. No matter the situation, she was lively and FULL of energy! I miss her so very much. My kids are now grown and I've had a few cats since Cricket. My Baby Blue kitty now, is very much like my Cricket!!! You can't love your kitties too much!!
Omg, you all got me good on Dr. Cates Benny! I was all excited and happy that he did so well after his surgery. Then, he passed away. He really really loved his momma! He made it through the surgery and the party, just for her. He knew that she was planning him this huge celebration and they both made the best of it! I'm so sorry Dr. Cate. I'm literally crying as I'm typing this and hugging my puppers. Sending you tons of love from Texas 💖🕊🩶
Dr. Kate my condolences 💐. Now he’s by Gods side enjoying heaven with all the animals that have gone before him. He’s still watching over you from heaven. He’s forever thanking you for the best life on earth. Once your ready there’s another one waiting to join you..and a piece of Benny will live within your new pup. God bless you always.
Dr. Kate it hurts my heart that you had to say goodbye to your fur baby Benny. I could see the love he had for you in his eyes. Feel good that you gave him a great and he knows how much you love him still. I am so sorry for your pain.
