She's had a rich life now; I'm sure she is tired. She doesn't "have to perform" just work her natural energy. We all get slower and greyer. I can't imagine the strain on her back, hips and legs to walk A LOT. Rest is necessary. She's not going to be able to keep it up forever, bless her little heart. Bless you and her; and the person who made the decision to let her live.

I had a cat who was injured while with his previous owner. She had him on her lap while working on one of those big old sewing machines that had all the cogs underneath (that's the only kind of machine I could imagine it was, I was only probably 12 at the time), his tail got caught up in it all and he was trapped. She had to call out the firebrigade to free him and he had his tail amputated at the vets. They then moved away and we ended up with the most beautiful tail-less cat which I loved. He was even in the papers with his traumatic story. Poor boy😢
An amazing , loving dog. Maybe she does so well because she’s never known anything different. To Faith, this is just the way it’s supposed to be. Bless her and her loving owner!!
I love Faith,' what a brave and amazing dog! As this was her retirement party, I was hoping to see her get a retirement gift, ...a harness with front wheels to make her retirement years a bit more comfy and easier on her back. I've often wondered why this was not an option for her at an early age. Never the less, I'm in awe of her courage and determination to tackle life, overcome all odds, and become such an inspiration to so many.! God bless her, and her owners too, for never giving up on her. And thanks Chris, for sharing this amazing dog's story! ☺❤🤗
Somewhere in the information that I've seen or read about her, I read that they tried to do the wheels on her early on and she just didn't want it. she didn't take to it. she wanted trying to walk.

It's really amazing how older dogs can still sometimes show youthful energy. There's an elderly dog I know who wags her tail so hard and tries to bound around despite arthritis making just standing up a slow, painful process.
I also thought that - she was crying in anxiety a little bit since she wasn't ae to perform what they wanted from her (chase) and was sitting down constantly... I know she didn't want the wheelchair but I hole they at least tried it over and over since she was really strugling and might have been in pain at the end of her life.

Sunday is a happy-go-lucky three year old. She’s so well taken care of she could go on for another ten years. Wonderful that she’s getting this surgery.
Any pet who has an owner who cares enough and has the money to take them to the vet is beyond lucky in my opinion. I also want to point out that the cat names unlucky , is beyond a happy kitten. He knows he has a wonderful home with a family who really cares about him.
Awe, poor little sweet faith. Walking like that must've been SO painful in her senior years. You can really tell by the way she whimpers and sits down after she gets to the point where it gets unbearable to walk. Sweet little girl may you rest in peace. 😭 As someone who has a 12.6 year old Pomeranian, can't tell you how depressed I have been getting that my boy is aging. I would give anything I could give in order to let him live as long as I do. He is my first dog I got him the day I moved out of my parent's house 12 years ago. He's the best thing that ever happened to me.

As a kid between 5-7, some people in our area, had a mom, standard chihuahua with pups no front legs on mom and two pups, they climed the stairs to the upstair apt above the store front. By themselves...I've never forgot those cute babies. 😊

Chris you need to watch the hoof GP from Scotland, learn some cow hoof trimming techniques! although he uses a mechanical crush to restrain the cows (he mostly services commercial dairies), there might be some way to incorporate his techniques in what you have to do.

Faith was amazing, brave, inspirational and adorable. The question of a trolley for her upper body is answered by pointing out that unless a puppy gets the trolley BEFORE learning to walk upright, it's highly unlikely it would adapt. Instead, it would carry on trying to walk upright, carrying the trolley with it, which would be much worse. Once Faith's body was adapted that way, all a trolly would have done would be to add a cumbersome weight to her, which she would fight against, and which might very well have harmed her. As it is she lived 12 years, in a happy home with an owner who adored her. To those of you who suggested she was kept that way for fame and financial gain... SHAME ON YOU. Its absolutely clear that was never the case. Faith was a beloved friend and a well treated pet. Run in Heaven on all four legs, Faith.❤❤❤
Lets talk for a moment about the amazing doctor who performed the surgery on Sunday the rottie. He came to Australia as a refugee and was thrown into one of our disgusting facilities where our politicians imprison people for the crime of wanting a better life for themselves and their families than they can have in their home countries. Despite the appalling way Australia treated him when he first arrived, he has taken the knowledge and skills he arrived with and is using them to improve the lives of amputees here......even doggy amputees. He is an amazing and compassionate man who originally fled his home country because the people who ran it wanted him to amputate limbs as punishment for "crimes".........I know this show is about the animals.....but I thought people should know the story behind the incredible surgeon who gave Sunday a chance to walk better and who is giving that same opportunity to human amputees as well, despite the horrors he has been through.
Vicktor Larkhill who does rescues in Spain just rescued a beautiful dog with a tumor on her back leg. It was successfully removed and weighed in at nearly 10 pounds. Blood loss caused her to require a transfusion. Horrible. She is now undergoing chemo treatments. These Vets and animal rescuers earn a special place in Heaven, I’m sure.
even if she passed way back in 2014, its always uplifting seeing her walk around and live her best life.

Yes, they should of carried her and got her wheels to support the front of her body. It's so sad that Chris and her owner ignore that.😢 so sad

Despite the appalling way Australia treated him when he first arrived, he has taken the knowledge and skills he arrived with and is using them to improve the lives of amputees here......even doggy amputees. He is an amazing and compassionate man who originally fled his home country because the people who ran it wanted him to amputate limbs as punishment for "crimes".........I know this show is about the animals.....but I thought people should know the story behind the incredible surgeon who gave Sunday a chance to walk better and who is giving that same opportunity to human amputees as well, despite the horrors he has been through.
There is a three legged dog named Dexter who also walks on 2 legs. He can walk using all 3 legs but he just likes to stand up.

Vicktor Larkhill who does rescues in Spain just rescued a beautiful dog with a tumor on her back leg. It was successfully removed and weighed in at nearly 10 pounds. Blood loss caused her to require a transfusion. Horrible. She is now undergoing chemo treatments. These Vets and animal rescuers earn a special place in Heaven, I’m sure.
