இப்போழுது டிசயர்(AT) உபயோகித்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றேன். நாங்கள் அனேகமாக பயணிப்பது இருவர்தான். நானே ஓட்டுகின்றேன். டிசையரில் 500 கி.மீ.வரை நெடும் பயணம் செய்துவிட்டேன். இனி நகர பயணம் தான். முடியும் வரை ஓட்டலாம். எனவே EV வண்டிக்கு மாறலாம் என்று நினைக்கின்றேன். User review மிக அருமை!
The car owner said a negative point initially with respect to Expected Range (Which was too Low) - But he did not highlighted it during the rating.
For 8.6 lakhs , I could see lot of disadvantage in this comet for my use

@Brila : Educate the user about complaint number no-2 "Regen not working at 100% battery charge" - This may not be an issue.
Why this happens? : simple science.
1. Regen slows vehicle by converting car speed back to electricity.
2. The electricity is supposed to be stored in battery.
3. If battery is already 100% fully charged, where will the electricity be stored? So regen is paused.
Answer : It may be a safety feature which the dealership doesn't know, because overcharge a lithium ion battery is very dangerous.
My guess is Regen will start working again if battery goes below 100% charge.
Hope MG would agree with me!!!

You've done an excellent job.
The user is also clear and excellent in his communication.
As he rightly said, it's a lifestyle vehicle. This user has clarity in what he wants, so he will definitely enjoy it.
Though there is no dispute in the fact that it is priced high, its build quality is excellent & the interior is luxurious.
One has to see Citroen ev to believe how great this car is in terms of fit & finish compared to Citroen EV that looks very basic costs 13 Lakhs... do you believe?. The only plus point in that car is boot otherwise the car looks pretty ordinary.
Whatever is said & done, Comet is at least 2 lacs over priced.But it is in a different league altogether.
It has the best range ( real life) compared to Tiago and Citroen.
Since it is a proper EV that has been sold in millions globally one can trust the car to perform reliably.
All in all a good car for a specific set of people.Not for everyone. That's how MG has positioned it.
EV is still a long way to go!.The benefits do not justify the higher cost difference at least as of now.
I am as well using the comet ev in Bengaluru!! Range is impressive and every time I drive it gives me between 220 and 230 without AC but with fan. I commute 49 kms everyday to my office and it comes for 4 days and at the end of 4 days balance battery percentage is between 20 to 25%.

You din ask for safety features,top speed, rear seat view , boot walkaround etc,. It would have been better if you had done a detailed walkaround with this vehicle.

Same audio issue i had with XUV 500. Each time i turn on the car, it eill turn on Audio with bit high volume no matter how much volume you set previously. Very annoying setting.

I am driving comet for 2 months. Only problem is big door. I can compare it to Activa scooter. Car is very easy to use and economical. I have 3.6 kw solar plant at home so mostly gets charged from that.
Bro, between 96% to 100% regen will not work to avoid over charging battery due to regen. This is as per design. However, sometimes when you go fast over speed breakers regen stops working (even below 96%). This is a serious issue which requires fix by MG.
In high speed motor rpm is higher at the time back emf or voltage from motor is higher than the battery voltage, if they applied regen motor controller will damage and also it hurts the battery pack.
The Comet's headlights provide excellent visibility at night or in inclement weather.
Usually regain works at below 80% battery soc . If try on 100% charge definitely is not working. Because the battery already reached the maximum capacity
The difference between this car and tiago EV is only two lakhs, tiago ev is satisfied car available range is 240 km
Regeneration will not work if the car is fully charged.. you need some space in the battery for the regeneration to put charge back in the battery...

Dear birlas parvai team talk about the hv critical alert problem now a days many tata ev owners facing whats the issue going on make a transperency about this issue as we face hv issue in our tiago ev in 10029 km and they told battery change should be done with in warrenty only but it take 10 days

Not only EV even IC cars will also have manufacturing defect. That will not come to our site because it will be lesser in cout comparing to it's sale volume. Since EV is under more focus point even if defect count is slightly higher to IC cars it is highly noticed. Where as Tiago reviews are widely available because we have reasonable sale volume. In MG you won't see any review because there is less sale count.
I have MG COMET EV. It is a very safe vehicle. The range gives 180km to 190km in normal mode. I really like this car.

Regeneration will not work in 100% battery soc. This will lead to differences in breaking performance

Any EV regen less at full battery because regen charge battery . So u cannot charge a fully charged battery with regen. I am getting 180 -200km range .

This car is fully waste.while calculating running cost they miss the battery life &replacement cost.no re value after 3 yrs.the current bills comes so high. The tariff for ev charging is high.25 days 40 units 1000 units ,for two months 2000 units .eb tariff charges goes very high.
8 hrs charging for 1.5 hrs usage.very bad to use.in eco mode u only drive below 25 km /hrs speed.this half spped of tvs mopeds.very poor. Do t buy it.after u met lot of problems.

The interior of the Comet is surprisingly spacious and comfortable for a compact car.
