Bro once again your videos are amazing. You are also very naturally gifted at what you do- love the way you are so thorough with your guides but you also keep things interesting and relevant. 👏🏼
great tutorial, love the way u take ur time and explain but yet not too slow just very good and i learned so much from ur tutorial, i feel better and more confident in purchasing and operating my 1st drone which is going to be the dji air 3s, thank u
Another newbie here, looking for mine to arrive tomorrow. This tutorial is fantastic and looking forward to getting more in depth with the Air 3S. Thanks a million.
Got mine today! It was in Cincinnati from Monday through Friday doing nothing. I’m afraid if I hit return to home…it will fly to Cincinnati. Great video Shawn. If I hear of someone getting a drone, I always send them a link to your “Beginners Guide” videos. No one does it better.
Who pray tell is this, doing an Air Photography Beginner video? I don't recognize these slimmer, svelte hands! Said with nothing but huge respect and admiration. Your recent years journey, figuratively and geographically has be an inspirational wonder to many, myself included. As to the subject at hand (punintentional) have you experienced, or seen the foward/back "rocking" motion the Air 3S does undersome conditions, I think specifically when flying towards a low sun? We had sensor issues on Mavic 3 that caused it to gain altitude all the way to whatever the "maximum altitude" was set to. Drone Wilder had it over the water on a range test, I experienced it on a field during sunset. There was a "fixed some bugs" update 2 days back so maybe it's been resolved!
You only really need to put a memory card in the controller. If you plan on doing a lot of screen recordings other than that, you really don’t need it. All the footage will be stored on the memory card on the drone.
This drone looks great. I’m thinking of getting one but have never had a drone previously. Is the tracking any good? Do you think it’s quite easy to control for a newbie or much too complicated?
Thanks, another great video. My last drone (minus the NEO) was the Mini3 Pro... so trying to decide if I want to wait for the eventual Mini5 Pro or just get this one. Just a casual user for vacations and such. Decisions decisions.
thanks -- my RC2 only shows Mini 4 pro or A3 in the device screen and wont connect to my A3s-- do I need to unpair drone from the RC that came with my basic fly more?
Question...when you register and they give you your FAA number to put on your drone, than you get another drone is the number the same you put on the 2nd drone?
I’m not sure about the US in Canada. Every drone has a unique number. Every drone has to be registered separately. I think that is different in the US. I think you have one number for all your drones.
This is awesome, makes me much less anxious about my first flight when mine shows up! Only thing I have to worry about is the return to home setup, I'm looking around and am not seeing anything on setup, I'm probably overthinking it but it would be nice to see the setup.
Returned to home, just works automatically. There’s nothing really to set up. Just launch the drone fly round and press return to home. It’ll do the rest. It’ll build a map as you’re flying. You don’t have to do anything. Just a good idea to make sure you have a good satellite connection before launching.
Question. I just purchase an Air 3s and Mini 4 pro. I registered the Air 3S through Transport Canada. Wondering about the registration number. Can I stick the label on one of the arms of the drone. Or the main body. And should the number be in black or white? Thanks for your great reviews. Larry from Goderich, ON.
You missed the important part of installing the propellers to the motors , I have been looking for tutorials that throw some light on this aspect , I am a complete newbie
Great video and tutorial. I just purchased my first drone the Air 3 s. I did the setup. After while going through the menus on the controler. The compass and IMU was highlighted in blue to calibrate. I thought I had to do the recalibrations. So I performed them. I hope I did them right. I haven’t done my first flight. As I don’t want the drone to fly out of control. Should I reset to factory settings and redo the setup? Hope you can help with any advise. I’m waiting for the mini 5 pro. Thanks. Larry from Goderich Ont
I know Godrich very well. I lived in Clinton for many years. You should be good as long as you calibrated and you’re not getting any errors. Perhaps before your flight, let it hover a bit move it around and see how it’s behaving.
I'm having a hard time deciding between this drone and the Mavic 3 Classic before DJI drones are potentially banned in the U.S. I'm leaning towards the Mavic 3 because of the larger sensor, aperture (I'm a photographer), extended range, and better wind resistance. I already own a Mini 2. Any quick suggestions? I know the Mavic 4 is coming, but I’m not confident it will arrive before the ban. Thanks in advance.
Are they going to be illegal in the US by the end of 2025? In the US a drone must always fly within line of sight, not interfere & give way to manned aircraft, and not fly higher than 400 feet, among other restrictions. I see numerous videos where the drone is not in visual line of sight; I assume those videos were not made in the US, or is there something I'm missing?
It’s really difficult to guess what’s gonna happen? I have a feeling sensibility will kick in at some point. I have a hard time believing they’ll be completely banned for public use maybe for government
Yesterday i printed 2-3 photos from the main camera (printed photo dimensions 20cmx30cm), very disappointed about the quality guys... I'll wait for Mavic 4...
DJI Air 3S could have been the best Drone ever if only it had Aperture control....nobody wants the hassle of using ND filters like we in 1920...you spend that money, you expect to have, as a basic, Aperture control. every $200 camera has it...
As someone who plans to get his first drone ever, I appreciate this video. Thank you!

Thank you for the great video - I ordered an Air 3S (my first real drone) and it will be here in a few days.

I got a cheapo off Amazon to get the basics of flying down. I plan on this being my first "real" drone in a few months. Thanks
Very good information and very helpful!
Thank you!
Does the air 3s have standard remote I’d or a broadcast module?
I do believe it’s just standard remote ID. But I’m not 100% sure I don’t live in the US so I’m not quite sure how that works.
When would I use a video card in the remote control? I put cards in the Air 3s and the controller. Hoping to hear an answer. TIA
You only really need to put a memory card in the controller. If you plan on doing a lot of screen recordings other than that, you really don’t need it. All the footage will be stored on the memory card on the drone.
@ Thank you!
much appreciated for such an instructional and informative video. Thank you..
Glad it was helpful!
Very Good and Clear, thank you.
You are welcome!
When returning to home for my air 3s the green tunnel seems to be very erratic looking. Is that normal
Nice informative video!!! 💪💪💪🙌
This drone looks great. I’m thinking of getting one but have never had a drone previously. Is the tracking any good? Do you think it’s quite easy to control for a newbie or much too complicated?
Please could you do one on the best camera & vid settings Shawn? 🙏
I will try and do that after the holidays 👍
Thanks, another great video. My last drone (minus the NEO) was the Mini3 Pro... so trying to decide if I want to wait for the eventual Mini5 Pro or just get this one. Just a casual user for vacations and such. Decisions decisions.
Nice job! mine is on its way. Thanks!
Very nice enjoy your new drone😊
Anyone know what plugs in behind the door above the battery?
thanks -- my RC2 only shows Mini 4 pro or A3 in the device screen and wont connect to my A3s-- do I need to unpair drone from the RC that came with my basic fly more?
Thank you, very helpfull!!!
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it
Nicely can understand this, Thank You............🙂

DJI Tutorials has a TH-cam page with some really great videos for beginners too! Happy flying
Plan on purchasing one,(Fly more kit). Hope to take some nice footage of the Philippines.
Thank you

Ok will I get any error is it’s not calibrated correct? Same with the IMU. Thanks.
Whats the speed on this thing compared to the air 2s?
Dope video, thx

I just bought this as my first drone and and these videos help, still managed to crash it by not trusting the technology
Still waiting on mine, stuck somewhere in Virginia.
Hopefully you get it soon
Did u get it eventually?
@@Oztubee Yes after a week.
Thx
Any time
Great

If air 3S is your first drone you rather like big drones or you’ve seen cool videos of it
Can shoot D Log in Quick Shots?
Wondering the same thing … i have searched everywhere and do not think you can, however i do not see why not. So i hope DJI enables this soon
Good question I’ve never actually tried that. I will look into it and get back to you might take me a couple of days.
DJI should pay you, way better than anything they’re putting out. Thanks!
Thank you very much. I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos. I appreciate it.
i didn’t read any instructions, tried flying it, crashed, sliced my finger while trying to grab it as it crashed, now i’m here
We’ve all been there. I’ve been flying drones for 10+ years and I accidentally flew into a tree a couple weeks ago.
