Everybody’s always talks about how cute Elijah is but can we talk about Daniel? MY MAN is gorgeous
I honestly am so proud of Daniel as not only was he persistent in getting a job and got it,he then went out and canvassed around his neighbourhood offering yard services for a second job., and then after working a stressful first day already on cash by himself and getting the hang of it, when asked if he was tired or if it was hard, he replies not really and that it wasn't hard. Such a positive attitude, go getter, hard working entrepreneurial young man. He is going to be very successful one day. Most kids his age these days would not be going around and offering to do yard work to the point mom and dad has to tell him to come home and have some dinner. Most are busy with video games to want to even move,👍👍. I am proud because Daniel was an older adoptee with obvious sad circumstances and had to leave his culture, people and country behind and be adopted into an American family living in a different country and so adjustment is harder for older adopted children,especially boys. To see him adjust and thrive and be so confident in the short time he has been with this family is amazing. He loves to cook, takes care of his health by wanting to work out, has changed his hairstyle and started using contact lenses and obviously takes pride in himself and really shows that he is a very determined young man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it. You do have a glowing circle around you! We are so so proud of you Daniel!🤗

He’s such a sweet boy...all the kids are just dear....there’s something to love about each and every one...it’s so nice to see a happy family...
Dad is so funny, he was more nervous for Daniel than Daniel was for himself.
Maybe they're a little embarrassing but I'm sure the boys don't actually mind!! Seeing you guys and Daniel together makes me feel all warm & fuzzy... I know older child adoption is NOT easy, but there's clearly so much love there ❤️.
I would have hired Elijah and Daniel right away. They are both friendly, well mannered and very likeable. You can see they would be trustworthy employees and polite to customers. am really happy for both of them that their so happy. 💓 Great job Guys.
Think Elijah got the better deal. Daniel had to work hard. I like his attitude though.
TheJmk1962 honestly cash register and soda duty isnt that hard because its all buttons with pictures of food that you click when people are ordering. It gets really easy when you work on it for a day or a week.
Ivy Grzyb I worked at McDonald’s before and it’s tough even at the counters. Especially with the seemingly never ending crowds and fulfilling the orders.
Jia Hao i worked at subway. It is tedious work but as long as you concentrate you'll get through it! Elijah was also on cash registers as far as I could tell so who knows who really has it worse.
To each his own and good bosses makes everything better. Lets send our love to two of them and support them!
I’d rather work at chik fil a. I worked the register at McDonalds and Subway when I was in high school. I loved how fast paced everything was. Made the time go by super fast. I wouldn’t want to walk around cleaning things in a dark theater all day.
WOW! Daniel is a natural born worker. No training needed.
proud of Daniel especially - from not speaking english at all to now working a customer service job - well done sir. Your whole worlds about to change with new friends and your own income. I think you are very brave and adventurous. Keep striving and learning and you will go far in this life.
I'm so happy for the boys! My guys are 16 and 14. We will be heading into the job territory very soon. Mama Knorpp you must be so proud of your guys!

As someone who has worked a few restaurant jobs, Elijah definitely has the better end of this deal! Not sure you could pay me enough to work in the food industry again, but it does build great character and a lot of patience!

Daniel definitely got the harder job, but I think he did quite well. Elijah is Mr. Smooth.

Ain’t it GREAT having kids who are EAGER to get out there and earn their way?! I never had to prompt or pester my kids to venture out into the work force either, and I believe it’s a confirmation of raising them with self-confidence, independence and a healthy dose of making sure they “earned their way” in the family too! My kids all had a chore chart of rotating house duties (much like your family), but they did not receive any money for those tasks, as they were the typical things of housekeeping and caring for one’s self, that no one can ever be expected to get paid to do! Beside our chore chart was a list of extra “payable chores” that our children could choose from to earn cash! It worked out great! Thanks Knorpps for sharing your success in parenting with all of us!
Well done Daniel and Elijah! I remember movies on the reels and one day we went to a movie and they put it in upside down and the movie was upside down!

Thats great for them! I told my kids they have to get jobs at a grocery store so we can get the employee discount in order to feed them all- ha! If you still need kitchen basics check out a local restaurant supply store- they are cheaper than most stores and they have items like extra large baking pans etc. that are great for bigger families.

I came here after reading a comment about older adoption on Myka Stauffer's vlog about adoption. I must say i fell in love with this family and my fav. is Daniel. I watched his introduction and his vlog on his adoption among others. He grew up to be a very good looking and hard working guy. I've known him for few hrs only but i'm incredibly proud of him. Love your family.

Congrats on the new jobs Elijah and Daniel. I never worked at a movie theater but at a fast food restaurant. They keep you busy the whole time. One good thing for working a Chic filet is that they are not open on Sundays.
This is really rare..boys in teenage age really have kind hearted and empathy. They raise with full love.
